He's the absence of existence, He's the finite host to the scattering infinity of intangibility. Soul reaches within himself and rips out fractals of his own emotion. Heart sees him as a distorted Martyr. Soul scrubs himself of the title just to find it in every heaving breath he takes right before he steps into red rope tied in swirls of scarlet. Mind sees him as a weepy heretic. Soul carries the word like Jesus holding the cross. No death Soul forces upon himself will ever be as holy as the birth of his creator.

Soul spends hours staring into the mirror, scrutinizing the shadows draped across his form. A hand just as dark slices into the unforgiving infinity of his face. There is no end to it. There is fuzzy burning and soft shapes where viscera should lay. He's a chrysalis to a writhing host. There's no use whispering to it. He prays to shadows creeping across walls and crimson blood. The only thing that answers is a quiet, calming echo. Eyes looking back through his, what's the point when all they can do is look?

For anyone in this fandom who is not on Twitter (which I think is a majority of the tumblr accounts on here) Tap was recently outed for owning a NSFW Chonny Jash server which allowed anyone from the age of 15 - 19 to interact together. This is horrible for a litany of reasons but here's a rundown for anyone who needs reasoning behind not supporting him:

- allowing minors and adults to interact in any NSFW manner is fucking weird. No matter if it's talking about shared headcanons or sharing NSFW art together, having a server with no age verification (proven by a member of the server trying to defending the server) makes it so no one truly knew the ages of the people they were speaking to. This means that if NSFW conversations were to happen between members about members, there was no way to tell if the person truly was 18.

- also, no one cared if adults were in the server in the first place. From a supposedly "firsthand" account from an 18 year old in the server, even though they felt odd THEY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MINORS IN THE SERVER AND CONTINUED TO STAY IN IT. This was the general consensus from every single adult in the server (although firsthand testimonies from Adults is hard to come across, for every person trying to defend this server we're minors.)

And as a note, a young 18 year old is not an adult, this is partially a maturity thing but it's also a legal and moral thing. 18 year olds should not be interacting with 15 year olds about NSFW content and sharing their own nsfw content with minors. It is not hard to understand why that may be, but it's also illegal in the U.S for this server to even exist. "Federal law strictly prohibits the distribution of obscene matter to minors. Any transfer or attempt to transfer such material to a minor under the age of 16, including over the Internet, is punishable under federal law." Hey this is like. An interesting headcanon from an outside view, but also holy shit is this incredibly ableist. I think this could be okay if this was labeled as like, a horrible toxic thing to do but making Heart helpless after the blinding and saying that he would have to rely on Mind is very weird.

Firstly; disabled people do not need to be helped all the time. Specifically when they are struggling with a certain task you might find easy or redundant. Constantly offering "help" without asking first isn't cute it's... actually incredibly rude and letting someone help you as a disabled person is a very personal experience. Letting a disabled person go through a task by themselves and only offering help when asked is the polite thing to do.

Needing help with day to day tasks can absolutely be frustrating, and some disabled people do have to ask for help sometimes, but you should never do something without explicit consent from the other person. Letting someone struggle on their own helps them grow. Disabled people deserve autonomy because they are human as well. You wouldn't immediately offer to do everything for an able bodied person the moment they struggled, same goes for disabled people, it's that simple.

Seeing headcanons like this might be small to other people or not mean as much but it sets up normalization for these things in real life. Taking away anyone's free will and setting up a dynamic where you must help them doesn't give them room to grow, and no matter the context it shouldn't be shown as this wholesome moment where Mind is coming to terms with his anger from the blinding.

"Othering" Heart in any HC is incredibly odd but specifically this one it just feels like you're babying Heart. He's a grown adult, and having Mind use Heart's disability as a way to grow is just ??? Why. Disabled people are not lesser because of their disabilities and they don't want help from you randomly, and disabled people are not plot points for others. Making posts which perpetuate ignorant ideas thought of by abled bodied people who do not understand what it's like to not be seen as an equal due to a disability is incredibly harmful, no matter what your intention was or how this played out in your head.

Please do some research before saying these things or just talk to a disabled person. It's incredibly frustrating to see things like this posted by very popular members of this fandom.

so mind was the one who blinded heart, right? idk if we are ever told how mind did it, but he is the one responsible and why heart wears the blindfold. hc that mind actually felt kinda bad about doing this, even if he’d never admit that out loud (and even has a hard time admitting it to himself). but because he regrets it on some kind of subconscious level he takes on the role of being hearts “eyes” almost as a natural reaction to what he did. even as he’s still working through his anger and repulsion towards heart, he’ll still be there to do little things for him if he catches him struggling; quietly scooting an item closer to heart’s hand if he sees him feeling around for something, subtly moving obstacles out of hearts path as he’s moving so he doesn’t trip, wordlessly helping him with mundane tasks that are made harder by his inability to see throughout the day, silently taking hearts hand and leading him through unfamiliar areas so he doesn’t hurt himself…. neither of them ever mention these things to one another, but it’s a common understanding…. a common trust between them. that mind will be there to help him with the little stuff, cause maybe.. just maybe…. he’s sorry for what he did
