#my poor baby #she was so heartbroken #and Spock doesnt even know #the only thing he knows is boimler wasnt happy about spock showing human emotion #and whatever boimler told christine upset her #but he doesnt know the details #i wonder if christine will ever tell him #i hope she does

Roger Korby was a shitty character. Period!

There are 3 things in that episode that's interesting to me:

1- Christine didn't say ILY to Roger Korby. Imagine your fiancee missing for 5 years and you finally reunite but no ILY's are exchanged? And keep in mind that this episode comes after The Naked Time where she confessed her love to Spock.

2- She obviously didn't trust Korby because as you pointed out she was suspicious as soon as she saw the android. Perhaps Korby was already a cheater and she expected him to be unfaithful?

3- Christine seemed fine at the end of the episode and she decided to stay on The Enterprise... Not that i'm complaining. Good for her. I'm so glad she didn't lose sleep over that weirdo. But her choosing to stay tells me that her whole motivation to join The Enterprise wasn't Korby.

Based on what we saw on TOS, I don't think Christine and Korby were in love. I can see Christine admiring him as this super smart famous scientist and Korby enjoying her interest in him coz it's good for his ego.

I wish they would never bring Korby into the show but i'm intrigued to see how SNW will handle their backstory and how things will tie in with Spapel.

Also when he’s talking about how the androids have full physical sensation and Christine says “how convenient”

And then he’s like “you don’t think I could possibly love an android” and she just goes “Did you?”
