I added onto Usagi’s wardrobe to replicate Hamato Yoshi so that he wouldn’t ONLY be wearing Leo’s gear (ex. elbow pads, Leo’s mask, etc),,,,, Leo doesn’t wear much :|
I remember they both went on a mission together where Usagi had to dress as a ninja and he wasn’t happy about it (that episode is what inspired this piece)
additional stuff i want to talk about under cut here idk
didnt colorpick for this drawing if the colors arent accurate sorrey overall not the best i did this without sketching as a warm up.
i plan on drawing mutant baxter more i gotta get used to his design hes yuckyy [said with love in my heart]
+ this additional thing ? his expressions work like this in the comics but not in-show . but im adopting it to my way of drawing. oh well
["face can't emote in human way. "eyelashes" are main [expression] indicators"]
technically there is talk of this on his concept art but not for the "eyelashes" but instead the hairs near his nose ?? not as efficient and noticeable if you ask me. top middle part of this VVV image
Now that I have the first chapter of Rest in Red finalized and posted, ideas for the remaining six chapters in terms of plot, character interactions, and structure are flowing a lot easier. (Seriously, it's never middles or endings that are the hardest for me, but beginnings.)
Can't decide if I hate this chapter or pretty okay with how it came out.
(This is literally just me thinking what rise villains could I put into other tmnt. So here's Hypno in 2012!)
When the villain alarm goes off in the middle of the night, Leo wants to waste no time in going after the new mutant that's been spotted. Donnie has a different opinion.
But when Raph and Leo don't return by the next morning, it's up to Mikey and Donnie to rescue them.
...
It had been far too long since they had a mission.
It was obvious that Raph was feeling the same way but didn’t have the respect to hide it. He was openly grinning. The grin looked sharp and twisted under the stark red lighting.
The footage showed a giant hulking mutant awkwardly shimmying the Argosy Theatre doors open before sneaking inside with nervous paranoid glances back. No police cars in sight from the footage.
“A mutant!” Raph cried out incredulously, “All the mutagen is gone. How did some poor schmuck get mutated?”
Ones hands can tell the story of how they’ve lived… and how far they have come.
I’m a sucker for Good Dad Splinter ever since I watched TMNT ‘03. That rat was gifted sapience and his immediate instinct was kindness. I love that for him.
Rise Splinter lived a rollercoaster of a life, but as a Hollywood star he remembered the names of all his stunt guys and coworkers, and as a prisoner he cared for the rat that shared his cell. His sons are very close and physically affectionate, I think that says something about how he cares? That’s just how I like to headcanon him :)
It’s interesting to explore the idea that a seemingly monstrous transformation is what pushed him to be a kinder human
