I'm not someone who is necessarily against all usage of AI, don't get me wrong. But running people's voices through AI has a massive potential of exploitation and harm, especially when that person is a public figure.
But it's also just weird and creepy. I think Noah would be absolutely disgusted if he knew, tbh and it's messed up that people don't think about the damage that AI can do. At best, it's just some seemingly harmless self-indulgent stuff, and at worst, it's straight-up deepfake porn like what has already happened to many people.
At least with rpf, the main rule is to keep it away from the people it's about and the majority of people do. You can't control AI like that. I don't think you can claim to be a 'fan' of someone and then feed their voice into AI where it could be used for literally anything; maybe even incriminating stuff. People could fabricate all sorts of shit just with the band member's voices, and there aren't really many rules about AI usage (but Europe has just passed a bill to limit AI, including a law against copyright so its possible that AI voices of famous people could be banned hopefully).
Anyway, don't be an asshole to the famous people you claim to support and evade their human rights like that.
So I have seen this going around and what we're not gonna do is use AI to have Noah or any other members of the band say shit like what we write in fic. This is gross and oversteps every and all boundaries we have in fandom... Especially the rpf fandom. And if any of you feed my shit to this AI I will figure it out and block you.
And if that's not clear enough, I wish everyone who takes another persons voice and runs it through AI to make them say things without their consent a very go fuck yourself.

My (possibly) unpopular symphonic metal opinions:
1. Epica are the best symphonic metal band and have been for a while.
2. About 80 percent of underground symphonic metal bands try too hard to imitate the more popular symphonic metal bands and they end up sounding like clones of Epica and Nightwish.
3. Nightwish were in their musical peak in the Tarja era but have consistently made great music after as well.
6. My biggest bugbear with symphonic metal by far is how much bands change their singers. If the singers don't write the music it's not so bad (ie. Nightwish), but when the singer has a role in the songwriting process, musical direction and is seen as a co-leader it really pisses me off when they are fired or are coerced into leaving the band, which happens all too often in symphonic metal.
4. As great as Floor sounds in Nightwish, her voice was better utilised in her older bands (After Forever and Revamp).
5. I have no idea why band members who are married decide to form a band together. It never ends well (see Leave's Eyes for an example of this).
The only times I am OK with prominent band members being fired is if 1) they deserve to be fired, or 2) they create a band which is better than the one they were fired from (eg. Mark Jansen formed Epica after he was fired from After Forever). A huge part of many band's identities is their singer(s). You cannot seriously say that Delain is the same band without Charlotte for example, since Charlotte had a role in the songwriting process there! She was a crucial part of the band. If Sharon left Within Temptation the band wouldn't be WT anymore, same if Simone or Mark left Epica. And don't get me started on how Xandria and Sirenia have gone through about 7 and 5 singers respectively and have both treated many of them like shit. It's gross.

There are so many toxic people on Twitter who are hellbent on calling feminine presenting fans parasocial and weird every time there's any discourse in the Bad Omens fanbase and it's really starting to piss me off. I'm so sick of the covert misogyny, shaming and attempted gatekeeping there and its making me think that I should be on Tumblr more, because the fandom on here seems a lot nicer (although there are lots of great people in the Twitter fanbase too, it's just that there are quite a few less toxic people on here from my knowledge). It's just so annoying that if you say anything on there you risk getting jumped on by toxic idiots.

this is going to be a long one, so prepare yourselves, cause I need to get some stuff off my chest
All that’s wrong in the BO fandom and with BO themselves:
1. Proper media training - I think none of the boys in the band, aside from Noah, have proper media training and it shows in interviews. I feel like, with them growing so big over the last year, they need to take some proper time and do that, so we can save each other the little awkward moments where interviewers ask weird questions or make even weirder statements and the guys just sit there looking a little lost.
2. Their crew needs to chill (at times) - Now I understand that every fandom has got their crazies, it’s a part of the lore, but come on! I’ve seen not once or twice, crew members being mean towards the fandom, calling us dumb and whatnot. If I see something I don’t like or find weird/stupid/pointless/delusional, I might share it with my friends, but I won’t go around posting about it on my story/twitter. There are people in this fandom that go overboard and need to be shown the door, but when you show disrespect to one, you show disrespect to all and that, I feel, needs to be stated somewhere. Matt is unnecessarily mean sometimes and so are Steven and other crew members. I feel like if I were in their position, I’d probably want to call out people on their shit too, but no need to do it ALL THE TIME.
3. The band is too closed off - And don’t get me wrong here, I understand and respect boundaries, but it sounds and feels a little contradictory when the lead singer of the band says in an interview that he feels closer to some of the artists he listens to, because he’s read their life story. The irony in that is massive. When you deny fans of little things like posts here and there, sharing a little something personal (example: Dove Cameron, Halsey, Thirty Seconds to Mars are all artists that make and write their own music and I’ve heard at least one story from each of them on how a personal event inspired said song). So when you deny fans of little things like that, you get obsessive people who try ro dig up your personal life, just to feel a bit more connected to your music. Everything can be regulated, I feel, if done and said right.
4. They all (the band and crew) need to collectively accept the fact that the band’s becoming massive, which means that they will attract all kinds of fans. Fans that will be there only for Noah. Fans that will be there only for TikTok hits like “Just Pretend” and whatnot. And they’d benefit so much more from those people if they just knew how to use everything to their advantage. Now one little comment from the crew sets the whole fandom ablaze. They’re not a small town band supporting bigger acts on tour anymore.
ok, I’ll stop yapping now and remember, this is just my opinion, you don’t have to agree with it and you also don’t have to argue with me on it ✌🏻

Am I the only person who doesn't like the vibes of the BO crew members? They almost always only reply or react to negative comments/drama, and I don't see many appreciative tweets or comments tbh.
The annoying thing is Steven saying how the band doesn't like being sexualised- which is absolutely fair enough, by the way, and people shouldn't be excessively horny on public social media accounts, but I didn't see any horny tweets myself (or at least none that were totally unhinged), and judging by how much the BO crew lurk online, surely they would've seen how much hate afab fans just for being fans of the band, and surely they'd be aware of the fact that many of the misogynistic BO fans use the 'You just sexualise the band, you aren't really a fan of the music!' as a punchline to attack anyone feminine presenting just for being a fan. The crew are the only people related to the band who actually post on Twitter and they need to realise that they have a certain amount of responsibility. The crew can absolutely say 'don't sexualise the band or us please, we don't like it!' but they need to be especially careful how they say it with the toxic misogynistic fans out there.
But what should we expect from a bunch of men, honestly? I don't like generalising men or people in general but come on, Steven literally has posts of women in sexual poses in his Twitter likes. He is a massive hypocrite, as is the rest of the crew and even the band most likely. You can't put anyone on a pedestal 🙃. I'm actually not surprised that some people are not keen on Bad Omens as a band anymore and although I'm still a fan, I can't blame them myself.

I'm not a big fan of gossiping about people's personal lives but there is a possibility that Simone and Oliver have split up. They don't follow each other on Insta anymore and Simone hasn't worn a ring for a while. I just hope that the both of them are happy tbh whether they are still together or not 🙂.

Bad Omens fans suck for hating on Poppy ever since she's been announced as their opener. this song goes so hard and if you hate it that is a YOU problem, not Poppy's problem you only care about Noah cause you saw his face on TikTok and him not being present as a vocalist on this track was THE BAND's decision, Poppy doesn't even have writing credits on this, so shut your misogynistic asses up

I need non autistic people to realise meltdowns are a real debilitating thing that has a serious effect on your mental and physical health NOWWWWW!!! The way its been trivialized and lessened pisses me the fuck off. It's not a tantrum and it doesn't come from "being too weak-willed" it's painful and it's embarrassing AND MOST OF ALL IT'S INVOLUNTARY!! Don't claim to be an ally to autistic or disabled people and then make fun of people who have meltdowns. Literally get the hell out of my sight

So it looks like Bad Omens are doing a collab with Poppy! I haven't listened to Poppy before although I've heard of her so I should probably check out some of her songs tbh. I'm looking forward to hearing a new song 🙂.

Dear BMTH/Bad Omens fandom,
If I hear any one of you say "keep the politics out of music" in response to the BMTH x MAP initiative, I'm going to fucking lose it.
Music is inherently political, especially metalcore/emo/punk rock. Know your roots, y'all. Know your history. Come correct or don't come at all.
And drink some fucking water, you beautiful but dehydrated fucking bitches.

Tbh I agree; He is able to sound angelic when he sings and then do some insane growls and screams straight after, which is probably very hard to do for most people lol. Whether he uses a bit of pitch correction live or not*, his vocals are still very impressive and not many singers have his versatility imo.
*(I only added this because ppl speculate on that a lot because of how ridiculously perfect this man sounds live; please don't cancel me).
It’s wild man I don’t think Noah Sebastian gets enough credit for how good of a live vocalist he is.
He is like IMMACULATE.

oooh ok. One last thing about the review this POs magazine did. I listened to what Noah said 4-5 times. The reviewer added and twisted things beyond comprehension.
Actually if you think about it, they took chunks of what he said out of that review
Small paraphrasing examples:
“I’m not judging you.”
“Life is short isn’t it?”
“Thank you for your undivided attention.”
“ living in the moment.”
Took out a lot of positive things he said. For an angle to push the I hate my fanbase narrative.
If you listen to what he said; HE SAID “I’m just playing” he said it so quickly it sounded like disappointed. He never used the word.
I had @thefallennightmare also listen to it a few more times to be sure. We did not hear the word once.
Noah also never used the word America. He didn’t reference American fans, and phones.
Kerrang should be ashamed, they won’t be! But they should be. That’s trying to tarnish his bands name or stir things up out of thin air.
Things like this happen in journalism, it always will unfortunately. They need anything they can get as a soundbite to sell. (Another reason unrelated why Halsey will no longer do magazine or press of this nature for the unseen future.)
Noah was extremely respectful and enjoying himself. He isn’t bored either, the dude is jet lagged as Oli said on stage with him the other night.
Also, people need to remember what a dry sense of humor, sarcasm and playful joking around banter is.
That’s my ted talk on this.
In other news, fuck it up folio! Excited for more content tonight. 🫶🏻
