Weapon Art from Mega Man X and X2

Last weekend while idly going through old site content files, I came across this fairly "rare" artwork of X using different weapons from Mega Man X and X2. I'm unaware if this really "official" art or not; it comes from Japanese game guides but could have been drawn by someone outside of Capcom - like much of the MMX artwork from Bandai. It never appeared in any Capcom official art books.

I commissioned a friend to retrace and color them from scans, since in the hint books they'd often be covered by text and other crap. Artwork for X3 weapons exists too, but I remember them being particularly obfuscated and discolored, so they were really difficult to work with. Maybe some day. More artwork after the break~

So THIS was a big surprise this week, and maybe one of the coolest, nicest, awesomest things to ever happen to me. Perhaps you've seen this little felt Heat Man plus before? It was created by hakusototukutta, who also made a variety of other cute Robot Masters too! You should check him out! I reblogged them all because they're SWEET and gushed how much I would love to have a Heat Man one. ...Which I now have! In a chance chat, Hakusoto offered it to me just from the sheer kindness of his heart. I was floored. I am STILL floored. It is easily one of my coolest, most cherished possessions now. I love it.
