"Luci?" You called out, while he dragged bunch of papers and documents and walked towards his office. It was already bed time, if not pass it

"I join you after I finish some of these, I promise!" He entered his office with a tired smile. You couldn't ignore the blackness underneath his eyes. His eyes practically closed as he sat back on his chair. Lucifer didn't sleep for weeks. Not like he needed much of it, but weeks without it was way too much

"It's bed time, Luci. You can do your work tomorrow" You argued as you crossed your arms and walked up to his desk. His desk was full of important papers which didn't seem to end no matter how much he worked

"Yes, yes, I know. But If I do it now, then we can have more time for each other" He turned back to the papers, concentrating on them, rather than concentrating on his health. But you couldn't argue with him, he was way too stubborn when it came to his work. You sighed and left the room, heading to the bed alone once again. It didn't ment taht you weren't stubborn yourself

The next night, you walked through the hallway, back into your bedroom. You saw Lucifer, walking in the other direction to his office, again. You eyebrows furrowed at the sight of him and Lucifer noticed it

"I'm gonna join you in a short while, I pro—" His words were cut off as you picked him up, without even stopping your way towards the bedroom. "Y/N! What are you doing!?" He immediately wrapped his arms around you so he wouldn't fall

"Taking care of you"

"But I have work—"

"Don't" You shutted him, your voice leaving no room for further discussions. He sighed, leaning into you shoulder. Even if he wanted to argue, he wouldn't have power for it anyways, so he just enjoyed the warmth and comfort of your embrace

"Thank you" Lucifer whispered, before falling asleep in your arms
