I'm still not set on the bed design but I think the kind of pod-like idea is pretty cool. I'm going to browse through some vintage furniture catalogs at some point to try and get some more ideas. The layout and room itself are pretty set in stone at this point though, but I might use the third floor plan I came up with somewhere else, like as a lounge maybe. The reference pic of the door is clipped from Mike Manalac's concept art. I wanted to match the rest of the sub without having the door take up too much space, so I copied the motif and used it as the top half of an arch doorway. I did however modify it a bit because the door itself is narrower, so I wanted it to be slightly less detailed.

The three extra colour palettes on v1 are from Nine Inch Nails album covers, and they're really only there to take up extra space.

excuse the bad handwriting, there's a storm rolling in and the pressure difference is messing with my wrist.

I've been trying to design a bedroom for Alpheus, so far I have three options. I have nicknamed them Basic, Funky, and Squid. I drew the plan and the mockup for the basic version last night, and I've spent the past hour or so working on the Funky and Squid floor plans.

Basic has the least going on visually, hence the name basic, but even that one still has the bed set on a raised circular dais in a semicircular alcove. It would be set relatively centrally in the ship on the top level, to have a skylight above the bed. It has a door to the hallway and a door to a walk-in wardrobe.

The second option, Funky, is set to the side of the ship and has an external window taking up the entirety of the far wall. The bed is once again on a raised circular dais, this time set into a corner. The bed is set at an angle. There is a sofa set at the same angle as the bed with a view of the window. This one also has two doors, one opening to the hallway and one opening to a walk-in wardrobe.

The squid option is sort of the same shape as the mantle of a squid, minus the wings. The bed is again on a dais at the tip of the squid and there is a sofa set against one wall. This option has three doors, one at the base of the squid opening to the hall, and one on the wall to either side opening to the wardrobe and the ensuite respectively. This room would once again be set centrally on the top level, with the entire ceiling being glass.

Bringing this back because the now 13yo had to measure himself for science class and that kid is 5'11". His back also looks like it was mauled by some sort of animal but that's the price you pay for rapid growth.

Why are the Fontaine and Ant so short, the average 12yo is around 5ft tall and their parents are both well above average height. Are they not feeding their kids enough? Finn not being very tall is a little more believable, like sure his dad's also over 6ft but we have no idea how tall his mum is and I doubt he's had a healthy diet.

I made another glitter graphic, this time with the Dark Orca themed title I made a while ago. It's not as fancy, I didn't bother trying to find a pattern for the red, and the lack of contrast kinda messes with the legibility, so I think I'll update this as soon as my brain is less mad at the weather.

I have decided that despite being a mechanical engineer, Archidemia was really into cartomancy and other forms of divination and in-universe it worked. With everything else going on I think there should be a little bit of magic, as a treat.

I made palettes if anyone wants to use them!

I colour-picked from the concept art to get the clearest idea of everyone's colours without scene lighting influencing anything. If lighting comes into play I modify as needed (like with the piece I did of Kaiko and Will for mermay last year) but I usually don't bother.

The Nektons, excluding the fifth column the top row is skin, second row is hair, third row is eyes, and bottom row is wetsuit accents. The fifth column is wetsuit colours, top orb being metal accents like the clip on the belt.

Alpheus, top row left to right is skin-eyes-hair, middle row is glass and metal accents, bottom row is wetsuit colours.

Dark Orca crew don't have orb palettes yet but I'm working on it.

I saw @dark-orca-dynasty draw an incorrect quote with Amt and Fontaine in it, remembered the actual hundreds of incorrect quotes I’ve compiled, some of which wound up posted to Ao3, further remembered I know hot to draw, and decided to draw a few of them. I have plenty more behind these three and very well may just draw more

I have a lot going on IRL at the moment so I don't really have time to sit down and write, so I quickly put this together because I figured out how to glitterfy things. This one's a little more complicated than the Tallulah Casey ones I did, because there was only one title so I wanted to put a little more effort in. I had to figure out a new plugin too, one that allows you to use alpha masks in paint.net, because the lemurian spiral texture was anti-aliased so I couldn't just quick select.
