Up shit creek without a paddle... It caused a small snort to come from the red-head, lips twitching before he breathed out. “I-I apologised because... Because of what happened before... What I said... He said?  And I-I just... Said nothing afterward and-- I sh-should have explained straight away but I d-didn’t.” he mumbled, swallowing once.
“I’m t-trying to get myself a paddle now t-though... There was this girl on the holofeed... A-and she mentioned something a few d-days back. So then I just... I don’t know... I contacted her and--” he cut himself short, biting his lip.
“Sorry..! You’re probably busy, right now!” he uttered, mentally cursing himself. “I just... I just wanted to explain myself and.. Not ruin any.. potential friendship...”
[text] you don't need to reply to this straight away. just... i want to apologize for what happened and i want to explain even if i'm uncertain on how to explain... i just... i want you to know i never meant for this to happen I swear and if I can make it up to you i really would want to try just that. [/text]
Samael read the text once, twice, three times before deciding to reply. Well, not exactly. The cast made texting really difficult so they didn’t bother trying and just hit the call button instead.

Aiden could not help but wince at the laugh the sounded through the phone, making himself a bit smaller and putting an arm around his knees as he stared down at his feet. He wanted to cry... But he didn’t feel like this was the time to give in to that feeling. But remaining quiet wasn’t a good thing either. And hanging up to burst out into tears was even worse.
Taking a shaky breath, he sniffed and rubbed at his face once. He hadn’t wanted to tell. Especially after hearing what had happened with Samael... But if he didn’t tell he was doing it wrong too. “A... A Gengar.. I think.” he finally spoke in a small voice. “But he appeared as... as some human-like.. man...” he trailed off, hiding his face on his knees, biting down hard on his bottomlip to fight back the tears.
It didn’t matter... He still did something incredibly stupid. It didn’t matter whether the ghost Pokémon looked like a man or not. It had been dumb. But what else could he have done? He thought he honestly would be able to make a change to his life like this. Become braver. It was stupid to trust the ghost. He knew that now...
“M’sorry...”

“Rational, right.” he murmured, giving a faint smile before his eyes fell to his sleeves as he nervously plucked at them. What did he say now? How would they go about doing this to begin with? Just on the street? Oh... He should have warned the owner that nothing was wrong, shouldn’t he? Crap... He should have thought this through. Why hadn’t he  thought this through?
He snapped out of his panicking when Caitlyn stated his name would be easy to remember, causing him to open his mouth before closing it with a small grin. “I... I suppose yes. And she did. Sort of. I-I can’t rightly recall but your name was shown when the contact details were shared.” he babbled, biting the tip of his tongue once.
“Nice to meet you, missus Caitlyn...”
He let his eyes drift over the place for a second. It was quiet enough. Most customers were inside... And it was best to do it outside, right? “Uhm.. W-well.. If.. If that’s not an inconvenience to you? I can tell the owner t-that nothing’s goin’ on.” he quickly added.
Show and Tell
“Don’t worry about it. I’m sure it’s a rational response,” she assured him, awkwardly busying her hands by readjusting her ponytail. Jumpy paranoia wasn’t the way she’d handled it to start, but the argument had long been made that Caitlyn wasn’t the most ‘rational’ person.
She laughed as the Quilava seemed to preen at the shared name. “At least it’ll be easy to remember, then. Mine’s Caitlyn, dunno if Brynja mentioned that or not.”
Straightening up, Caitlyn placed a hand at one of the Pokeballs at her belt. Although realistically it was along the same kind as her own, it felt foreign in her hand. “So did you just wanna do this here? Won’t ask him to do anything too… you know, but I just wanna make sure it’s cool to basically fistfight a ghost here.”
He wouldn’t pull any TRULY dirty tricks… she hoped. She didn’t exactly have Danny’s promise on that.

“S-sorry... I’m a bit uhm... Not... Not really at ease... On the moment. With everything happening I-I mean.” stammered the red-head before rubbing the back of his head and puffing out a breath. A L u x r a y. No, Aiden was glad that she kept it on the Quilava. If he had seen a large cat rushing toward him he wasn’t sure how he’d react.
He heard his name, automatically frowning and scuffing his foot a bit on the ground. “Oh, y-yeah sorr--” he cut himself off when he noticed she hadn’t spoken to him, but instead to the Quilava, causing him to glance down in surprise before giving a small smile. “G-guess he and I share names... I seem to share names with a lot of people...” he chuckled faintly before shaking his head.
“Wasn’t too long... Don’t worry.” he murmured, shooting her a smile.
Show and Tell
One thin eyebrow raised at the reaction. Shit, jumpy one, wasn’t he? It was just a Quilava… “Guess it’s lucky I don’t have Leo with me… You look like you’d have pissed yourself if it was a my Luxray picking you out of the crowd.” Purple eyes turned their attention to the fire type. “Aiden, give the kid some space. You’re scaring him.”
Quite a bit put off by being reacted to so extremely when he wasn’t actually in protection mode, the Quilava slunk back to stand at Caitlyn’s feet. Rolling her eyes with a good natured grin, she knelt and scratched between his ears.
“You have to wait long? Sorry, Aoife isn’t too fast of a flier so I don’t always make record time when I let her take me.”

What if she wasn’t showing up? What if something came between? No, no. She would definitely come. Wouldn’t she? How could he be so sure of that. Turning his head a bit, he took in a deep breath before glancing back. Only to have his eyes widen when a Pokémon charged at him, practically slamming himself back against the wall.
“Don’t--!”
Before he could finish his sentence, he recognized the girl that was following after the Pokémon, causing him to breathe out in relief. Caitlyn. He nervously licked his lips and moved away from the wall a bit before giving a small grin.
“Y-yeah... That’s me.”
Show and Tell
Green eyes, red hair, freckles… Unique enough, at least in Hoenn, right? Caitlyn murmured the description to her Pokemon as they drew nearer to the meeting spot, her own eyes scanning the crowd. He’d have to have beaten her there considering she’d had to come in from another town. Suddenly, the Quilava shot off toward a man fitting the description, leaving Caitlyn with no other choice than to trail after him. He stopped at Aiden’s feet and after a moment of consideration gave something of a chittery bark, pleased to have won the ‘game’ of I-spy before his trainer.
“I mean, you’re not wrong…” A quick glance around gave her no one else who fit the description. With a shrug, she turned her eyes to the stranger. “So. You the one with the ghost problem, or do I have the wrong ginger?”
Definitely looked frazzled enough to have been the sender of those anxiety-laden texts…

Aiden paced around quietly, a frown on his face before he finally settled himself against the wall of the cafe and shot an apologetic smile to some people who had been walking by and giving him weird looks. Couldn’t blame them... He had not been sleeping well for some time now. He didn’t think he looked all right... Taking in a deep breath, he gazed up for a second before mentally preparing himself for the conversation that would take place. Atleast he had seen nothing of Sephtis yet. That was a good thing. Right?
Right?
He nearly jumped a feet in the air when his phone buzzed, causing him to quickly get it out, nearly dropping it in the process before looking at the text sent to him.
Shit he didn’t even give a description of himself...
[text] im sorry! im a red head, medium long hair i think i mean I know. I mean. i dont have a pokemon or anything. green eyes. freckles. does that help? [/text]
Show and Tell
{txt} Surprised you trust me with your luxray. [txt] I’m not the one with trust issues between us {txt} Don’t push your luck. Send him back within a few hours. [txt] Believe me, I doubt either of them are happy about this switch [txt] Thanks for the loan {txt} It’s more for him than you. Even if it’s not effective, he’ll like getting to hit you. [txt] … Well THATS comforting
With a childish tongue sticking out at the sender of the texts (not that he could see it, nor would she do it if he could seeing as he did, in fact, have her Luxray held captive for the moment), Caitlyn let the Drifbloom gently set her down just outside of Mauville since she was just too big a Pokemon to really wander around the area. Once Aoife had been recalled into her Pokeball and a Quilava shifted out, Caitlyn made her way toward where she figured the café would be.
“I don’t even know what this kid looks like… Or if they’re even a kid. What am I getting myself into, Aiden?” she sighed down at her Pokemon, who simply sneezed in reply. Caitlyn brought her phone back out, switching to the stranger’s text log.
[txt] Alright so I don’t actually know what you look like… But I’ll be the one with purple eyes and a Quilava
That was good enough of a description, right?

[Text] right I'll go over there right now! [/text]
The red-head pushed himself up, taking a deep breath before looking at the darkening sky. It wasn't too late... the café would still be open... and it was better to get this done. Whatever way he was going to do this it would be painfully awkward.
Taking in a deep breath he started to make his way toward the cafe.
[Text] so far no bloodshed... thank god for that. .. [/text]

“Gutt, atleast we both know that zhen.” hummed the ghost-type with a smirk, listening quietly to her as she looked away and spoke up. Interesting~! “For shaaaame... Tough contact? You two practically live next to each other. I’d imagine he’d try to see you atleast once a day. Tut, tut.”
The ghost made a face when the other stated to stay away from Jackson. “Und here I zhought to pay a nice little visit to him again.”
“Oh liebe… Please don’t feel special. I give that treatment to everyone.” sing-songed the human-like Pokémon with a very un-humanlike grin nearly splitting open his face. “But do tell, how is that boyfriend of yours? It feels like foreeeeeever since I saw him. We don’t tend to keep in touch.”

"Yes..." he replied in a small voice. Feeling even dumber than before. And why shouldn't he. Looking back at it all. The talk with the human-like gengar. The pretending smile he couldn't see through... he had been a downright idiot.
But he had never wanted anyone to get hurt over this... he should have known better then to trust a ghost type. Yet he had not...
"Y-yes I'm stupid. I-I 'm very s-stupid for what I did. An i-idiot first, S-second and t-third degree and i-i'm sorry...!"

There was a ‘ping’ that told him that he had received another text of the girl he had been talking to. Caitlyn. Worrying his bottom lip for a second, he shifted his form a bit, opening his mouth before closing it and cursing the way his underlip trembled.
“Yes...” he finally mumbled, lightly plucking at the ground below him, eyes shooting to the side before back to the phone. “W-w-what happened I-I r-really didn’t m-mean for that t-to happen. T-that wasn’t me...! I mean... I-it was me.. But not r-really me...  I-it... That sounds c-confusing, i’m s -sorry.. I-I met a g-ghost type p-pokémon a while b-back and... And he... He t-tends to take o-over my body at t-times...  I w-was dumb a-and thought he c-could help me b-but he’s not... Helping at all.. He’s o-only making things worse... I-I’m sorry... I s-swear I didn’t come inside the c-cemetery... I-I mean I don’t think... I-I can’t remember b-but I don’t think I have... I-I only ever sit o-outside the cemetery. At t-times. When I want to have s-some quiet. N-not a lot of people bother y-you at the c-cemetery.” he spoke in a small voice, swallowing once.
“I-I’m so sorry... I d-didn’t mean.. I didn’t know h-how to explain... I... I didn’t want to...” he trailed off, rubbing at his eyes. “I didn’t mean for this to happen...”
