i think one of the good aspects of homestuck is that it’s such a huge story that spans so much, you have a lot of room to interpret everything that happens in it. sure we’re overthinking what actually happened in real life that influenced what happened to the characters, but i think there’s merit in interpreting those events in-universe in a way that makes them mean more, tying them into the story in a genuine way. i don’t think what we were talking about is boring. it’s okay if you do; you don’t have to ascribe to those ideas if it conflicts with how you read/understand/engage with the comic. not saying anything whatsoever is the end all be all of homestuck, because homestuck isn’t the kind of story where you can make that distinction with complete certainty. sburb is a huge idea that never gets completely properly explained so it’s fun to play in the negative space—that’s all it is
