WOW. And I’m just getting over my aversion to tragic ends. I’m impressed but I’m also sad!!!! This is going to take a while to get through. I’m glad I looked this up. No way would I have been able to stomach this game without that warning. I understood it being a grim ending for a grim route, but it was a little too grim so I had to confirm I didn’t accidentally walk into the bad ending.

Hmmm my most boring enemy. Yellow haired nice oblivious gentle white cishet female protagonists with low self esteem and in constant need of protection. Daring today aren’t we.

Nothing really catching my attention in terms of her personality. Getting a little bored. But still in this for now. I like the premise. And I’m listening to the audiobook version while I work.

They’re using some very modern terms to describe how progressive this guy is. But it kinda throws me out of it, considering the setting seems to be some medieval fantasy land. I’d rather be shown vs told that info. Also they make it seem like this kind of thinking isn’t common. Yawn.

Ok I went ahead and bought a flo mask. Ouchies my wallet. But... I love it!! I got the low bridge one, and it fits me perfectly!! It's so comfortable. Filters are easy to replace, and their pro filters are rated up to 40 hours. :0

I haven't tried wearing them for an extended period. I just got it unboxed and fitted today.

Ok I take back what I said. The story is picking back up. I forgot the developments in volume 11, and volume 12 is only building on that. I’m seeing character development!!! Katarina is growing. Keith, Jeord, and Maria still seem to be getting the bulk of the characterization, but I’m still ok with that.

I’m seeing some development for Sora, Mary, Raphael. Mary’s cunning and blatant gay feelings, Raphael’s kindness, knowledge, and teaching ability. And I have just become super fond of Sora too. His backstory and the role he plays in the story. Dewey is cool too.

And then!!! The background characters. The ministry people. Katarina’s family. The royal family. They’re getting so fleshed out.

And now it looks like things are actually moving. Like we might get to see why Katarina is here, who is behind a lot of the tragedies.

Also the focus on Katarina’s grief about having died in the previous world, and not being able to say goodbye to her friend and family. Her real fear of being separated from her loved ones in this world. Sophia is so cute, but I want her to play a bigger role given that she is some kind of reincarnation of that friend.

Anyway, loving volume 12. We’re back.

Not bad not bad. Great art. Good/great designs. Nice music. Lots of angst. I like all the voices, except for Lucas. Still getting used to it.

Idk I like the juxtaposition of his deep voice and appearance, it’s just not my flavor of deep voice. 🤔🤔 Otherwise he’s cool. I was also initially scared that he would have this paternalistic kindness to him. That combined with the religious devotion and yellow hair might have been too much. But so far that isn’t the case. Getting a Libra fire emblem vibe, which is def not a bad thing. 😌

Yves is cool. I can already tell Scien is going to be my fav or at least second fave in this game. No other thoughts about the others. That one butler was cool tho. I do love cool butlers.

still amazes me that by season 45 or whatever, Supernatural was being exclusively watched by delusionally hopeful women with flamingo-salinity tolerance for bad writing and the creators still couldn’t pander to them because maybe there was 1 straight guy out there still accidentally watching it

Ok finished the Thabes labyrinth thing. Second attempt. First time I underestimated Alm’s tanking ability. I had plenty of turn wheel moves left, but for some reason this game won’t let you rewind time if you kill either Alm or Celica. Just game over. I got to the second to last floor too. 😢

It would have been cool to see that as an additional difficulty option for three houses and engage. I might have considered opting in. But for something like Thabes which took one million years to traverse, with no save points, it was a lil tedious.

I can only dream of more customizable difficulty levels for fire emblem. Like letting me play the highest difficulty, but still let me reset level-ups instead of having all future level ups already decided before you even recruit the character.

I like how bravely default let me disable exp and money and stuff. Let me grind out different jobs without worrying about my team getting overleveled.

I’m going to cry when they disconnect wifi services for the 3DS. I liked picking up the ranking items at the beginning of a fates conquest lunatic run. For a nicer start. Mostly just the raider weapons.

Anyway, back to Thabes. I was a lil scared of Grima, since the enemies got pretty rough on the final levels. Especially when they all ganged up on you. But Grima was not too bad. Easier than Duma’s map. And I was able to do decent damage with non-falchion attacks.

Just missing a few more achievements. I’m glad I revisited this game. Very faithful remake apparently, but I kind of liked the simplicity. No need to think too hard. Also the addition of Mila’s turnwheel was just amazing.

I finished the game when it first came out, but didn’t touch any of the after story. Mostly because I made a lot of mistakes in my playthrough and really struggled at the end. Barely beat Duma. And sacrificed Camus. 😭😭

This time around, I made plenty use of double lion, warp, rescue, and hunters volley. Easy peasy.

Also for the after story, I had the DLC to grind with. Unlike when I just had the base game. I think just in general, I did more grinding on this play through.

Ughhh when your work stress is mostly from management and a coworker. Not the actual work.

Depressive dip. Feel unappreciated. Ugh but I don’t want to apply to other things.

Also I’m doing my best to shield my newest coworker from the same stuff I’ve experienced. 😌😌😌 Feeling very protective.

Ohhh I forgot. I really liked volume 8. Even with adding another character. Cezar is actually pretty cool. And the individual moments with each character!! There were lots of them here.

… still. Too many characters. Not enough character development. Unless your name is Maria, Jeord, or Keith. Katarina if you squint.
