but on a positive note, I am happy with my progress in sta.rdew, both with overall farm ambitions, and my romantic prospects, so 🎉

sta.rdew manages to capture a summer vibe well with it's music and overall audio, however unfortunately as a professional disliker of the vibe in question, the experience ends up being unfortunately grating as hell.

#i wish i was joking #and I'm hoping i acclimate or something bc i don't want this to interfere with my game experience honestly #but yeah I'm surprised bc I've enjoyed the soundtrack before this (especially the community center theme)

I was reflecting on my b.g3 romance experience along with my other ships, and i realize that to get me to actually want someone romantically (at least within self shipping) really is either via a slow burn or what I can only describe as: first base is nearly dying in your arms.

also another bit I'm doing with my bard si is tossing them into the dra.gon age universe. and it's been a fun crossover, especially because of the differences and similarities between the games, but also because I never inserted with it before.

it was an oc zone for me y'know? besides, despite enjoying the games, it's never been a setting I would want to be in long term, so I haven't had the urge to insert with it, but via my bard I can do a quick dip in and the results have been fun so far~

#i do have legit fondness for those games (despite taking issue with some of the writing) #so to find a different way to engage with it after all this time is a good feeling y'know

I love when self shippers make reverse au's where they're the f/o instead, it's adorable honestly. however I don't think can envision the same with mine. like it's not out of self hatred or anything, I would absolutely haunt them and they'd draw strength from my journey and the like. but I don't really see any of them partaking in fandom culture much less in any of this, even in the most modern and human au. though I can see them waxing poetical or doing academic essays, but again it wouldn't be in proper fandom space.
