Can I just say...RIP Matthew Perry. Such a tragic life brought to such an early, unfair conclusion. He deserved so much better.

I like to imagine there was a missing scene where Vanessa meets Max and it just doesn't go well. He hates her, she hates him and Eric is just so confused. He thinks back to when Max met Ariel and how it was so different and he feels the doubts creeping in past the spell. That's also the reason Rosa is holding Max back at the party; she was put in charge of keeping him away from Vanessa. Until he finally gets too crazy and she lets him go, though with a little smirk on her face that I think means she's secretly happy to let him at Vanessa. Like "oh, oops..."

Finally!!! I was able to pre-order on iTunes. Looks like you can pre-order on Prime and stuff too. I can't believe I get to watch it on my TV in just a couple weeks. It sounds like it should stream on Disney+ in late August. I still wish I didn't have such a long wait for the Blu-Ray.

So, I sent to see TLM 2023 for the 10th time yesterday (yes, I have a problem, let's pretend otherwise). And it was my first time seeing it in 3D. I think it was my first 3D movie, but I can't remember for sure. But I figured it might be my last chance to see it in 3D as a lot of big movies are coming out soon. And I think if I was going to like any movie in 3D, it would be this one but I was just not really a fan. It felt like my eyes were never really focusing and things weren't as crisp and it just wasn't really worth it to me. I much preferred the 2D version, but that's just me. I'd be curious if there are people on here who are big fans of 3D and their thoughts on it.

Just here to remind you that this was their first real “conversation”
Ariel, making him smile OR as I’d like to call it:
Prince Eric, flexing his dimples & looking like a lovesick puppy.
Part 1 of ?

No, but look at her face. The realization. Ariel didn’t know Eric was looking for her. In her mind, she’s just excited to experience being human for the first time, and maybe the possibility that she might see him. But our girl didn’t know our prince was down so bad he was literally sending out what might be their kingdom’s military forces to find her.
This fckng movie, I swear.

david magee writing the screenplay for the little mermaid live action and coming up with the green mermaid figurine idea and the moment where eric says “my little mermaid” knowing very well we would all be internally losing our shit in the theatre

Are people using #mylittlemermaid as a counter to #notmyariel? If not, I feel like they should be.

Ariel’s “Siren Song”
So I’ve been reading the Guide to Merfolk book. It dives into the lore in The Little Mermaid (2023) universe and has brought up a lot of interesting things.
One of those things is Siren Songs and their variants. Each song type has different abilities. One of them is the well known “lure” ability, but there are others.
