They made their debut at 13 in the Romanian National Selection for the Diamond Chick, they were the runner-ups, MC was the winner. The next year after that in 2011 they represented Romania in that edition of the Diamond Chick. They have been friends with MC ever since they have met each other in the national selection in 2010. Prior to joining forces with MC to form their duo, Sabin/Sabina had a moderately successful music career, having released two albums.

Sabin and Sabina are deeply introverted individuals, who are most comfortable in the quietness of their own company. They can be quite reserved, particularly around people they don't know, but once they open up, they can be warm, kind, and engaging. They made their debut in the contest as runner-ups in the 2015 edition, which was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, when they were only 17 years old. Despite being underestimated by many, they managed to surprise everyone and earn Portugal their best result ever in the competition. To this day, they remain a fan favorite, thanks to their remarkable performances and unique style. On stage, they go by the name of Apolino. They were also the first Portuguese representative from the southern parts of Portugal, most Portuguese representatives from Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra, Braga or other parts of northern and central Portugal.

João and Joana are two very extroverted individuals who love to be the life of the party. They possess an infectious charm that can win over almost anyone they meet. Her love for the Diamond Nightingale Contest started in 2011 when it was held in Seville, and she became a fan attending the 2018 edition held in Gothenburg. Inspired by her experience, she started writing about the contest on her personal blog. Her talent was noticed by the Egg Hunt, the biggest news site covering the Diamond Nightingale Contest, and she joined their team in 2021.

Ilona is a passionate and curious person, always eager to learn new things and explore different perspectives. She is an extroverted person, she is quite a social butterfly, having no trouble to communicate with others, but she also enjoys some time for herself. Her dry sense of humor is often used to lighten the mood in tense situations. She is also quite intelligent and has a keen eye for detail. However, her stubborn nature can sometimes get in the way of her relationships, as she is not easily swayed from her opinions. Although he won the Belgian national selection, the Amethyst Sparrow, he was the last-placer with only 16 points in the grand final of the 2019 edition held in Aalborg, Denmark. His reputation with the Belgian public after that is practically non-existent.

Lodewijk is an introverted individual who cherishes his alone time and feels most comfortable in quiet environments rather than social ones. He is ambitious and driven to succeed, which can be both a positive and a negative trait. He strives to overcome obstacles and achieve his goals, but he is also sensitive to failure and can be hard on himself when things don't go as planned. Honesty is one of Lodewijk's core values, and he doesn't shy away from speaking the truth, even when it may be difficult. The reason for that is just before the grand final he broke up with his boyfriend because he just found out that he was cheating. His song from 2019 was "Piercing Snow".

You and your friend also competed in the Diamond Chick, the junior version of the contest, in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

As you prepare for the Diamond Nightingale, you and your best friend are filled with excitement and nerves. This is your chance to show the world your talent. But the competition will be fierce, with singers from all across Europe competing for the title. You'll need to bring your A-game and stand out from the crowd with a good song, memorable performance, and stunning stage presence. With the pressure mounting and the stakes higher than ever, can you and your best friend rise to the occasion and become the next Diamond Nightingale winners? Or become Romania’s first Non-Qualifiers?

Depending on the player's choice, the runner-up can be either João Silva or Joana, who represented Portugal at the young age of 17 and is known for being outgoing, charming, and a bit of a flirt. The last-place finisher in the 2019 Grand Final is Lodewijk De Vries, a former winner of the Diamond Chick in 2010 and a reserved but ambitious and honest person. Only a male MC can romance him. Your friend can be either Sabin Scarlat or Sabina Scarlat, and the two of you have been friends since you met in the 2010 national selection. They are shy, passionate, and critical of themselves, with a deep passion for art. Finally, the journalist is Ilona Mäkinen, a Finnish fan and reporter for the Egg Hunt, the biggest fan news site for the contest. Their son, Nicholas, was born on September 16th of the same year, but despite their best efforts, both Erin and Adam found it challenging to balance parenthood with their busy professional lives.

As Nicholas grew older, his parents' responsibilities and travel demands increased, leaving him in the care of neighbors and nannies for extended periods. Although his childhood was materially comfortable, Nicholas yearned for more of his parents' attention and affection. Despite their shortcomings, Erin and Adam tried to compensate for their absence by lavishing Nicholas with gifts. The waning of Erin and Adam's romantic feelings for one another over time has only compounded their challenges as parents. Although they maintain a cordial relationship and remain friends, their former love has faded away. They recognize that their bond is no longer the same as it once was. However, they continue to stay together for the sake of Nicholas, their only child, who has become a central pillar of their relationship.
