Meet my lil teapet, Kuni! It’s a lil duckie and it looks like the ducks from spirited away 🥺

You may be wondering: “Senn, why tf do you have a teapet when you have a real life dog?” Well, I do love my dog very much, but for obvious reasons he can’t drink tea with me, nor does he have enough patience to keep me company when I pour myself some tea. Which is why I like teapets! Side note: I got this one as a present from my grandpa 🥹

From what my grandpa has told me, teapets originated from a very long time ago. When people would make tea sets, they would have left over clay and because they didn’t want it to get to waste, they decided to make lil animals from it (typically something from the Chinese zodiac). As per tradition, you keep the teapet on your tea tray and you ‘feed’ it a bit of the extra tea. With time these tea pets will change color and glossy! Also, the scent of the tea embeds itself in the teapet

and as for what region i would pick; i would actually pick two! my dad would be from mondstadt and my mom from sumeru. my dad would be a researcher who originally sets out to research the withering zones and eleazar and that’s when he met my mom in the forest part of sumeru (probs ghandarva ville)! he would continue to come visit her for four years straight until my mom agrees to come with him back to mondstadt where they got married at the cathedral and a year later they got me 🥺

my dad would eventually die bcs he himself accumulated eleazar way before it got cured, leaving my mom and i alone. she would return back to sumeru, but leave the house to me so i had a place to stay whenever i would visit mondstadt!
