Starting a new leaf. I'm going to be on more and actually be social. Until then, I bid thee adieu.

Something Subtle || Kiko & Krystal
Kiko lolled her head back, slipping her Beats over her ears. The ride on the metro would either send her into a much needed nap or heighten her nerves as the crowd within grew quite quickly. She thought a little music would ease the trip as she battled between the two. She knew her manager wouldn’t be too happy finding out about this little excursion only after a slew of pictures of her surfaced in some obsessive magazine. So, almost habitually, Kiko adjusted her shades and hat to hide from the public eye as she made her way through the underground vehicle of Aestate. She was meeting Krystal at a nearby tattoo parlor to invest in some new mark she could show off, only to see her agents' faces scrunch at the sight of a permanent marking she actually paid for.
She and Krystal had bonded in a quiet corner of Carpe Noctem, making conversation unexpectedly about cars, lyrics, and most agreeably, tattoos. Pulling her sleeve back to observe her forearm, the place she had chosen for this new tattoo, Kiko blinked as she saw the time on her watch. She was running late as always. Luckily, she frequented the tattoo shop a lot between shoots and meetings, so she knew a few shortcuts. She would get off two stops earlier than she planned to cut through the city park, but first, a text message. She rambled through her purse in search for her phone, ripping it out and typing into its keyboard feverishly.
[SMS] I’ll be there in ten, ok? Sorry I’m late.
Just then the subway stopped and Kiko stood up quickly and made her way through the crowd of angry businessmen and women into the streets.

Nodding almost involuntarily, Kiko fought against the small daze she was pushed into the very moment she recognized Jiyong’s shadowed figure. She let her eyes glide down the arrangement of the man’s frame, her gaze shifting from his jawline to a shoulder, the pull of his jacket to the gleam across his belt buckle. It wasn’t until the cigarette perched between her lips collapsed onto the pavement beneath that she shook herself from thought, forcing a small smile as she pushed a bit of hair from her face, her disposure becoming one of small fidgets. Meeting Jiyong’s eyes again, even under the dim lighting of a single fixture back by the club, sent her back to the night she considered the man gazing back hers.
Pale-faced and doe-eyed, Kiko had barely reached the legal age to drink that night she stumbled out of the club and dragged herself down a web of alleyways she presumed would lead her back to her building. She tripped over a few glasses of gin and tonic, her vision blurred by a double shot of Jack Daniels, but it wasn’t until that last mojito crept its way in that she found herself sprawled over the sidewalk hugging her handbag near tears. The cold concrete against her hot, flushed cheeks reminded her she was still able to feel more than she felt in that moment. And in that moment, she fell into something that she couldn’t pull herself out of alone. Perhaps another glass of wine could provide her enough company. Perhaps the figure standing over her with its hand extended toward her could.
Shifting her gaze up to the blurry figure she could barely make out, Kiko squinted in attempt to level herself against the mixture of alcohol clashing against her every nerve. She reached out toward the blur’s hand, allowing it to help her off the sidewalk. Moments after remain in haze. It wasn’t until Kiko had her arms wrapped around the figure’s waist, her cheek pressed against its back as it struggled with the lock to its apartment, taking in a hint of the cologne it wore. As the two of them stood out in the hallway, Kiko’s vision gave way. She blinked her eyes open to reveal that she was hugging a man she’d never met before from behind. The cap he wore had a embroidering of small letters made out across the brim. “Kwon… Ji… Yong,” Kiko read out in a hushed tone behind the man who finally pushed the door open and lead them in.
“I-it has b-been a while,” Kiko nearly whispered, secretly pinched her side, annoyed at her own stumble. She motioned her head over to the car Jiyong was on his way to enter before her intrusion, speaking more carefully this time, intentionally adding a bit of smoothness into her tone. “You’re leaving?” She looked down at the pavement where her cigarette sat, the urge to smoke dissipated by this very meeting. “Mind giving a girl a ride home,” she inquired; her gaze sincere as she looked up from the ground to Jiyong once more. She didn’t know what would come out of her scooting into the backseat of his car for a short ride home that night, but she was interested to find out.
