The EVBB has officially concluded. Thank you to everyone who participated and submitted their beautiful fics and art. We couldn't have done this without everyone's relentless enthusiasm and support.

Visual Scenes: 

Eddie is at the top of a pine tree having just escaped the Life Foundation. He is spiritually and emotionally very wet and miserable. He comments on the view with familiar resignation. It is one of many little compounding actions and comments that have hinted to Venom that something is off with its new, perfect host.

Eddie lying in the bathtub having just attempted to fake the startle scene from the movie. He is mentally exhausted and just wants some time asleep or unconscious–he’s not picky as to which. Venom has caught him in a web of its mass and prevented him from injuring himself. It is confused at what Eddie was trying to do and why. 

At the end, Eddie is on a beach as the sun rises and the fallen rocket burns in the distance in the bay. This is the first time in what feels like years that he has opened his eyes to a new scene in his life and he is overwhelmed and overjoyed. The thing that had to happen to end the loop was Venom’s survival, and Eddie can feel it in his chest. It is small and injured, but able to emerge in a more delicate, lattice-like form. Eddie is so happy that he takes its head in his hands and kisses it.

Once they escape Drake, Venom learns what they are to each other but Eddie is none the wiser despite his growing feelings for the Symbiote. Through all this Venom is trying to get back to Drake in order to save Riot and Eddie is trying to prevent the war between the DETs and AGT from getting worse than Drake had already made it, even if it means killing both Riot and Drake.
