So yeah I'm just tryna help. Fr.

Now listen u dont need to get an A* to be happy with ur grades. If those are ur goals then u go girl. If those are not u still go girl.

But my mum always says "Always aim higher than what u can get. Then you will reach the farthest u can go. Now go make another omelette for me."

Now a major thing I would do before an exam is open a candidate response, the qp, the ms and the examiner report.

Do each question, check with the markscheme, check the candidate response and assess where u are and then the examiner report.

Make sure to practice past papers have good time management. Calm down during the exam. It'll all be fine.

(trust me i went and got bangs cause i was depressed about the way i wrote the exam and here we are)

Use the examiner report tip. Always always use the syllabus of each subject. And ofc past papers

The same advice goes to ICT. Like the practicals are the easiest shit u can think of but a big mistake that people do is forget theory.

Study for theory and u get good marks.

It was sooo good

Always choose descriptive its just easier to score in

Go read books from good authors like Madelline Miller, Katherine Arden, and Ocean Vuong. Get phrases that u really like and copy them into a word document. Go through it before the exam and use it in the writing

When your books has multiple POVs you tend to start putting these characters into boxes and they have these specific traits that define them rather than having a multilayered personality. And in all honestly, this is necessary. A reader needs to distinguish between characters. They need to have a smooth reading experience where they don’t just mix characters in their head together. But as a critic, thats a different story. This is a problem I had with six of crows as well (one of many…pls dont come at me). One of the characters that could have definitely been unpacked more, if given more page time would be tristan. One character that was stuffed into their personality would be parisa. I don’t know if it was because its been almost 2 years since i read the first one but parisa is so robotic now. Its like, where's the character development?

What made atlas six such a huge hit was the tension between the characters, the alliances, the romantic developments. What was so compelling in the first book will be the following one’s downfall. Because, at some point, you have to resolve the tangle, and you cannot please everyone.

The Atlas Six stuff

So. 

I read the the atlas six by olivie blake 

This was one of my first dark academia books (or one whose genre I was aware of). I saw this blow up on tiktok and I thought ‘why not?’.

I have like stuff written down (thoughts ig) after around 65% of the book (cause before that it went too slow) so here they are :

Yeah so i figured out the ezra twist (partly)

Well, it wasn't as mind-blowing as everyone made it to be but it was fine. Recently, nothing is 'mind-blowing' me so I don't think it's the book's fault. I liked it. 

Around 4 stars if I’m being generous though I think this is one of those books which you ponder over for 2 weeks and then, without your knowledge, you are obsessed.
