Day 6: Favourite character

Yes, I am still doing the S2 appreciation posts I'm just incredibly slow at it! It was quite the challenge to finish this edit on time for the new year (the editor truly was against me, must have been controlled by Adriel somehow).

I did not expect Jillian to be my favourite character at all when I started. I did like her in S1 but it's truly in S2 that she became the character I was the most invested in. All thanks to Thekla Reuten's wonderful performance !

Happy new year to all of you! And may 2024 brings us many new nice content for Warrior Nun !

Kate Fleetwood giving Liandrin vibes in interviews: "I didn't have any scenes with Moiraine this year. I mean, I talked about her and I thought about her and I thought about killing her. But I didn't have any connection with her, which is a shame."

You cannot tell me this is not Liandrin's everyday thought.

AND bonus point when talking about Liandrin's arc in S3: "I mean, and her relationship with Lanfear and all of that..." So you're telling me we're going to have Lanfear and Liandrin being insane baddies together? 🔥

Am I finally going to watch a show in witch my favourite characters will share decent amount of screentime? Will The Wheel of Time be the show that breaks the "let's be crazy about these good 4 minutes of them standing in the same room" curse?

She sits down slowly, silent.

Mother Superion approaches without severing the quiet, watching her grow pale, her limbs go limp. Jillian doesn't cry, as if she already knew, but Suzanne knows all too well that knowledge never spared anyone suffering.

The nun listens to the emptiness around them and sits down beside her.

A trembling hand finds its way into her own. She surrenders.

And, somehow, the surrender is whole and she is pulled into Jillian, entangled with her, holding tight, as if they could make one full heart again by melding together the remains of their two broken ones.

#PAAAAAAAIN! #Might not be your favourite but it's still always nice to get glimpses of Jillian learning Michael died #We were absolutely robbed of that scene #I wonder if it exists and they cut it because only 8 episodes? #I'd much rather have had that scene than the post-credit one with you know who... #Thekla would have nailed that scene and I would have cried for hours #Superion stayed behind with Jillian for the reason and that reason is to support her #So at least YOU gave us Superion supporting Jillian #Going to grumble all day about how this scene should have existed

Doctor Superion but I cant stop thinking about that one Warrior Nun Firefighter AU Fic on AO3 called Hellfire, so now I gotta draw them as a firefighter and a mayor (though technically, Jillian didn't actually become a mayor in the fic-) but I made them wear the Indonesian uniform equivalent of those occupation, so now here we are.

Streaks of white sprout from her uncovered temples, contrasting with the usual black of an unusual suit.

The mirror is familiar but unsettling; her image still austere, now permanently civilian. There is little left to believe — and precious little less for a soldier to do once a war has been won.

Jillian smiles apologetically.

"It must be strange for you. I know it's… A bit unethical for me."

"A former nun, now your lover, made into personal bodyguard? Hardly," Suzanne quips.

Jillian chuckles, stepping closer.

"It's a place to start."

Suzanne pulls her, kisses her.

"… It's a place to stay."

#had indeed missed that one too! #I know I have a lot of catching up to do! #The parallel between usual black/unusual suit is appreciated #“a bit unethical for me” nothing unusual there Dr-testing-it-on-myself-and-used-some-girls-as-labrats #that woman does need to hire an ethics committee (although she'd be hell to work with just imagine the meetings) #I do enjoy the reconversion from nun secretly assassin to personal bodyguard of heretics number 1 #“it's a place to stay” truly perfectly ends that drabble (yes stay there Suzanne!)
