If some of you don’t understand why I’m so passionate about helping people understand the DIY and anti-consumerist themes of alternative fashion it’s because I just read an article about punk fashion that had a section dedicated to “shopping some of our punk favorites” that included a $53 pair of fishnet tights

I get my fishnets from the dollar store, I make jewelry out of safety pins and soda tablets cans, I buy “normal” looking clothing at thrift stores and cut it and sew it and wear it so it fits with my style. That’s what it’s about. When punks, goths, emos, scene kids, etc tell you that dressing this way should be cheap it’s because it IS. Don’t let big corporations tell you otherwise

Eman's family is currently in danger!

Two weeks ago, the area to which Eman's family was displaced was bombed. As the war in Sudan rages, there is no where in the country they can go where they are safe. Eman's family has already lost their home, which was bombed while they were inside, martyring Eman's brother.

Due to the instability of Sudan's currency, the amount raised from this campaign so far is not nearly enough for them to leave Sudan. We have to raise more funds, and quickly.

Please support and share Eman's campaign. Let us help them urgently get to safety.

letstalkpalestine has set up a LinkTree that prioritizes different fundraisers for people in Gaza and rotates out fundraisers once campaigns are complete. There are so many worthy causes worth donating to and it can be difficult to keep track of them all, so this is a great resource.

Operation Olive Branch has created a Google Drive of different GoFundMe campaigns to support. All campaigns have been vetted. They're also encouraging people to go to the social media pages of family members responsible for the different campaigns and amplify their voices, which is an extremely important step that I've found tends to be left out. Donating is great, but doing everything we can to boost Gazans' stories and spread awareness is crucial.

"why are you like this?" i literally grew up listening to antiwar music from the 70s and 80s along with a ton of metal, watching horror movies, in a very volatile and unstable environment that resulted in me having severe mental health issues, am queer and autistic in the south, and was put into a religious system that taught me to never question authority or else i was "evil" and "unforgivable" from a young age. you should be surprised i'm not weirder.

hello everyone! I wanted to take a brief moment to suggest a resource for getting e-sims to gaza.

If you're not able to go through the process of purchasing e-sims yourself for whatever reason, you can donate through Crips for E-Sims for Gaza. It's a crowdfunding effort created by a bunch of amazing disability activists and writers (I recommend their work!). This way you can give money towards purchasing e-sims.
