Just thought about Sam and Benny meeting at Stanford, Benny a transfer from a community college in Louisiana who finally gathered enough money to attend a prestigious university. He’s getting his hospitality degree, hoping to open up his own restaurant someday.

Benny and Sam go on study dates together, spending long nights in the library, grabbing early morning coffee to keep them going throughout the day; Benny opens up about his childhood in Louisiana, how his father had mysteriously disappeared one day after going out on a fishing trip. Sam divulges what details he can about his mother, and the two grow closer at having lost a parent.

Benny’s a huge foodie, so he’s constantly bringing Sam tupperware filled with beignets, grilled cheese biscuits, jambalaya, etc, for when he’s been too busy studying to stop by the cafeteria. It also gives Sam an excuse to stop by Benny’s shared house; to return the containers, ofc. ☺️♥️ @halfchrist-halfcowboy @femsammy
