I finally, finally got around to purchasing the manga and oh boy was it a nightmare. I should have done it AGES ago. I thought that now that there is an anime, It would be easier to get physical copies. Fool I was, wretched idiot.
Without any box sets available, I had to go through multiple websites to find those middling editions available. Had to pay through the nose for the physical copies, and they won't all be here until June. Probably pretty old hat for experienced manga fans and veteran weebs but this will be my second manga that I own.
i just had perhaps the most scuffed dungeon run in ffxiv ever
queue into leveling roulette and get copperbell mines with a scholar, archer and a red mage
on the first pull i start lagging like hell then when all the enemies are gone it stops
the party then realizes, our scholar, Cactuar Jeff, is afk, so at this point im thinking "well, i've done this dungeon tankless before so how hard can healerless be"
we get to the first boss and about 30 seconds in, Cactuar Jeff teleports into the boss arena, and I pop off
however, he still doesnt do shit, but remember how he's a scholar?
fortunately he happened to have eos summoned, so he would just teleport into each boss arena and let eos do his job for him, so cactuar jeff gets rewarded at the end of the dungeon for clicking yes 3 times throughout the dungeon lmao
(for the record i think we could've done it without eos but her help is very much appreciated)
dungeon meshi is about the power fantasy of being in the exactly perfectly correct situation for your personal brand of autism to be an essential, lifesaving asset
