This is what I’ve been stuck on since I watched the final a couple of months ago - 

Yes, Will accepted that what Hannibal had shown him was something beautiful and something that he wanted, but that acceptance wasn’t a thing that Will felt he could live with. 

Obviously, they do survive the fall, but that ending was effectually an effort at a murder suicide (or a double suicide, if you ascribe to the view that Hannibal, a.) understood what Will was going to do and essentially consented to it, b.) had no reasonable expectations of survival). 

And what I’ve been caught on since then is simply that I’m not sure that any of that will have changed in the aftermath of the fall. What’s to keep Will from trying again, with or without attempting to take Hannibal with him? All the same problems are still there. 

There’s still so much he has to work through, and that’s good - that’s fertile ground for story telling and I’ve been inspired to try to work it out from half a dozen different angles, and I have seen so much incredible fic that approaches this and lord knows that season 4 (knock wood) will blow us all away.   

I’m just very scared for Hannibal and for Will, I guess is what I mean.

Marriage problems

Hannibal Lecter has a problem with boundaries.

Will is hard work.   OR   Well, Hannibal said yes to everything.

Stunned cannibal.

It looks like Will finally decided.

Well, this isn’t very far from reality.

So many problems for him. So many.

Will is capable of sudden changes of expression.

Hannibal is a saint.

Hannibal wants to keep some mystery in the marriage.

Maybe Will has not fully understood the word marriage.

I’m starting to see a pattern in how all the fights will end.

Will’s search for puppies never ends.

Will is hard to convince and I don’t understand why.

That time when Will was smart enough.

Aaaaand… We tied the knot! Hannibal is happy. As you can see, Will has the same expression as always. Hannibal must enjoy what he has.

then you hit publish and wait and wait and wait and wait for amazon to actually publish the fucking thing.

then you wait 60 days after the end of the month to get your royalties! don’t know why, but that’s how amazon rolls.

and you just keep making more and more titles in the meanwhile to build up that income cuz you’re not likely to make a lot from just one title.

there’s no real ‘gatekeepers’ in kindle erotica - you just start writing and publishing and you keep doing it and building up a library. some genres/kinks/niches sell better than others, and trends come and go, but it’s really all up to you - to do the writing, the publishing, the marketing, and then more writing and publishing. you just keep at it, bit by bit. this is a market where it’s really all about quantity… the bigger your library is, the more sales you’ll start to rack up, building like a snowball. even better if you release titles on like a regular schedule. ideally you want to put up like 2 titles a week, but 1 a week is a good initial goal to shoot for.

General note: Deeper=more serious. Elevate wounded limb so that gravity draws blood towards heart. Scalp wounds also bleed a lot but tend to be superficial. If it’s dirty, risk infection. If it hits the digestive system and you don’t die immediately, infection’ll probably kill you. Don’t forget the possibility of tetanus! If a wound is positioned such that movement would cause the wound to gape open (i.e. horizontally across the knee) it’s harder to keep it closed and may take longer for it to heal.

General notes: If it’s a compound fracture (bone poking through) good luck fixing it on your own. If the bone is in multiple pieces, surgery is necessary to fix it—probably can’t reduce (“set”) it from the outside. Older people heal more slowly. Hmmmm

I had junk food today.

Like corn dogs and pizza.

I haven't eaten corn dogs in years before this.

I was a weird kid and used to purposely cook them till they were as hard as concrete and utterly burnt.

Well trust me on this, you don't want to.

It was good though, today. Soft and fluffy and utterly delicious, it kinda made me upset that kid me was too stupid to actually cook the darn thing properly.

Well live and learn right? :D

P.S. I didn't include a pic because well, you've seen one corn dog you've seen them all right? I'll be going to a festival soon though for spring! Plan to take pictures of whatever wacky food they have and share it with everyone, should prove to be a real treat! :)

Must Love Food

Spring Rolls...

Spring Rolls...

Can you just even imagine a dish more suited for spring?

Actually... don't answer that, i'm sure there's thousands.

But seriously, how many dishes have the word Spring in their name?! It's fated I tell you!

Now honestly, spring rolls are delicious, and thankfully they're not too hard to make, I myself obtained the recipe I used from the fine blokes in Sorted, with a few variations here and there.

(all worth it I tell you)

I mixed together zucchini, enoki mushrooms, green/red peppers, onions and scallions together and stir fried them a bit before adding my already cooked and seasoned chicken.

Then just because, well why not; I put a few slices of avocado into each roll and after brushing them lightly with egg and oil it was into the oven with them! They were flaky and delicious, seriously an amazing treat.

Of course, i'm used to making big meals thanks to living in a large family so with the extra's I just cooked up some quinoa and added the vegetables into the yummy seed with a bit of sesame seed oil and salt/pepper for taste. All in all a satisfying dinner that left everyone with delighted smiles.

Spring Rolls

Spring rolls are absolutely delicious. Filled to the brim with finely chopped vegetables and meat (or seafood) they are instant favorites when one feels like having an asian meal. The treat themselves just look so delicious that it's hard not to want one. I myself plan to take the asian treat and expand it in a way that should prove delicious. Hopefully my plan works, but regardless of what does occur, it's good to note an adventure can always be had even in the most unexpected of ways.

What lies in a word?

The word 'food' means different things for all of us. For some, it's something we fight against, for fear of bulging waistlines and too tight clothes. For others it's something we mindlessly consume to make sure we don't pass out, barely ever giving a second thought to what we ate, much less what it was. Then there's the food lovers, those that go out of their way to learn about food, about why certain things are so yummy and where it all comes from. These adventurous souls will travel all over to try foreign delights that most would stare at with unease. Food is something to rejoice in and enjoy, hopefully this blog can show just how wonderful it really is.
