Rüdiger (Rudolph) took first aid lessons at some point in his life (or possibly after his death). And from Anna's exasperated reaction after seeing her brother perform CPR on Anton (Tony) it's fair to assume he either talks about it or performs it a lot (although that second part is just reading between the lines so take it with a grain of salt).

In the books does it say/show if Rüdiger & Anna are taller, shorter or the same height as Anton? If it does which? (Im drawing stuff)
I can't recall any mentions of either being taller or shorter, so I very much assume they're the about same height

Okay.. as a self proclaimed Mythology nerd, I FREAKIN LOVE that the Vampire family are canonically all ginger haired cuties,🥰 As redheads throughout history were commonly associated with being a “powerful & mystical other” due to superstitious beliefs. Being accused as Vampires, Witches, Fae’s etc. The main similarity.. they had ginger hair. pretty cool detail 4 the books characters (& morbid historical reality)😑 I plan 2 get as many of the English translated books as soon as possible.🤓

The films are nice, but were changed drastically because, well, the books aren't too child-friendly from the eyes of an adult. Abusive friendships, relationships (between cousins, nonetheless), threats, attempted murder... A lot happens, let's be honest
I managed to access the first book a little while ago, but there is something I'm confused about. Their age, so they appear as when they died but does that mean their mental state stays the same too? Also Is Rüdiger ginger? Because in the tv series and films he is portrayed as having dark hair :/ it’s a little confusing
Physically, they stay the same (with poor Lumpi going through puberty permanently), and they seem to be slowed down mentally too, considering how childish the kids still are. Rüdiger is, indeed, ginger! It seems that the whole family is, if I recall correctly. The movies and series probably changed them to make them look more like classic vampires. It is quite confusing.

That, and also the fact that the vampires in the books eat humans. So Rüdiger has attempted to murder a few people, to Anton's dismay

I prefer their ginger-haired versions, it makes them stand out. They do act quite child-like, despite dying a long time ago. With a few quirks, of course. Such as Rüdiger being quite violent. It probably helps that they're isolated from the outside world.

I've been asking this question for a while and nobody has given me an answer, so maybe you could? My question is about Rudiger's personality, what is he like in the books? And what is he like with Anton (their relationship)? I'd be grateful if you could tell me as I haven't been able to access the books yet.
I've only read the first few books, but he's rude, rash, and doesn't care much about others. He drinks human blood, and is quick to become borderline suicidal (not eating, staying out in the sun, etc.). His friendship with Anton is rocky, with Anton carrying most of the relationship while Rüdiger makes everything worse. However, through the books, they do seem to flatten out the more rough patches of their friendship, and Anton tries to make Rüdiger behave more, well, friendly.

Since I'll have to reread the books for this, you are all welcome to submit facts or send asks. However, if you submit something, make sure it's stated in the original books. No film or TV show stuff
