Oh god. Oh fuck. Horrible Dusknoir/Aimilios hc just spawned in.

What if near the beginning of the stoneship fight… Dusknoir overheard Grovyle, and realized Aimilios was the key to Temporal Tower. So if he just dragged only him back to the future— everything could stay. He wouldn’t have to lose his life. And Aimilios feels his fur standing up when Dusknoir is just staring at him for an uncomfortably long time with an unreadable expression.

Before he lunges towards him.

Ribbons and Grovyle would immediately get in-front of Aimilios and counter attack— trying to ward off Dusknoir from getting anywhere close to him.

…And near the end of the fight, when all of Dusknoir’s Sableye are down except for him— He becomes desperaterelentless— constantly charging the aura pup so aggressively during their fight. and only him. At one point— Even managing to grab the Riolu. (so that’s two times Aimilios got viciously grabbed by him, fun!)

Which makes the aura pup whimper out in fear before Grovyle slices the cloaked ghost-type’s arm with a Leaf Blade. <<(WHICH ACTS AS A KIND OF BITTERSWEET SWITCHAROO OF GROVYLE PROTECTING PARTNER FROM DUSKNOIR RATHER THAN VICE VERSA)

…And that just ends up being the main reason why Aimilios is so deathly afraid of being physically close to Dusknoir compared to Ribbons. And why he’s so much more jumpy/terrified whenever he gets near him when he returns years later.

#MHM. YEP.#these two make me so emo. I swear I’m gonna get into the Ribbons/Dusknoir Angst.#I just wanna marinate in this for a little longer bc Aimilios/Dusknoir’s post game Dynamic makes me so.

saw my momsselia concept get a good feedback so i wanna expand on the idea a bit more before heading to sleep..

i think that cresselia would take the role of "someone whos shoulder you can cry on" to h&p because i think having to face two world ending and life threatening crises at the ripe age of like 6 can get you to fall apart even after youve toughened it out. cresselia sees the two struggle for a bit with adjusting to every day life and holds herself from getting too nosy before she decides to consult them about her help. most legendaries and mythicals dont normally involve themselves in the matters of regular mons but she felt like she owes the two in particular after darkrai tore them through the wringer. and with the dude more or less existing as her opposite she may as well do whatever it is to help. also i think it would be cute if she could sing lullabies to the two when they hardly manage to sleep because of everything weighing on them..

I’m so sorry to bombard your inbox yet again Fujii but I am losing my mind with homework rn and I must know what your headcanons on Dusknoir’s methods of comforting are🙃cuddling? words of affirmation? acts of service (fixing food or bringing blankets)? I need some escapism and a three month long mental vacation so bad rn fujii it’s absolutely unreal😭😭😭

Okay in terms of comforting, Words of affirmation is Dusknoir’s go-to. On one hand, he does have a way with words if we’re both being honest! Main-game he is super clever with how he uses them to gain all of Treasure town/Lake Guardians’ trust. (AND THE ENTIRE, GRASS CONTINENT IF IM NOT MISTAKEN??? THE CHARISMA OF THIS WORLD RENOWNED GHOST.) But on the other hand… very good with his words in terms of being super deceptive, as well as persuasive. So that being said— I feel like he’d be articulate with using his words in a gentle, low growl. It does take awhile for both Ribbons and Aimilios in particular to trust his words again, but once they do, it’s… nice.

That being said— his second form of affection (to me at least) is physical affections. I keep thinking abt how wonderfully you put into that one post where Dusknoir’d give the best hugs, lest he trusts himself first. Very, very strong ghost arms, mixed with a soft, fat belly. He’s actually so perfect for iT—

…He’d be intimate with Grovyle and Celebi, as he would be gentle and soft with Ribbons and Aimilios. (At first because he doesn’t trust himself enough to put any real pressure despite how much the two tell him they’re okay… With him and his touch.)

…But once he’s over that hurdle, he continue’s to treat them so delicately because they are just. So precious and dear to him. And by the rare chance he does— he might cave and hug them very tightly near a close-call death situation, or if one of the kids are in need of comfort.

(He also… may or may not get to a point where he gets too comfortable with it, that the cloaked ghost-type just randomly picks up and carries the grass, fighting/steel, fairy type.) (Which he catches himself, slightly apologizing for being so… clingy. Yet continuing to carry the other three. Whom which allow it.)

(I CANT RLLY SAY CELEBI CAUSE AT THAT POINT HE’D BE YOINKING HER OUT OF THE SKY AND I THINK HE’D BE AWARE OF T H A T AHKFJCOSJAOFJ7) (She probably just joins in whenever Dusknoir is carrying Grovyle specifically, fluttering on his neck ruff, or when all three are being charioted around by the big ghost, with the pink fairy jokingly floating down and adding herself in, much to Dusknoir’s embarrassment.)

I HAVE A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR ALL MY FELLOW FUTURE TRIO ADORERS:

For example, Grovyle would be my answer bc Darkrai interefered directly into his life the most robbing Eliana’s memories and causing them to nearly kill each other out of ignorance. Celebi certainly has beef with him messing with time, and Dusknoir—now redeemed and fully aware that the paralysis was Very Not Good™️—would be Fucking Pissed™️ that he dared to lay hands on Eliana and Lu (and tried to convince them to off themselves), but Grovyle would just be seeing red. The others would probably have to stop him from going too far.

#honestly as much as I’d love to say Dusknoir. it’s Grovyle.#That motherfucker is the reason why Grovyle had to go through the hell of having to lose his best friend. for them to forget him.#to go into the world of the past trying to save it. only for the world to scorn and hunt him down.#like. that. plus I’d love to see Grovyle rightfully go the f u c k off.#in contrast to how he gives Dusknoir a chance/understands his fears. I've been thinking about that post with Team Venture and Team Charm after Manaphy left and it's actually so funny. Like, Manaphy was five when he left?

Teen Dad Kip is walking through treasure town, sunglasses on, pushing 2 week old Manaphy in the stroller cuz they're going to the Hot Springs for some Father-Son bonding.

Meanwhile, Twig is desperately asking for parenting advice and Grovyle is like 'Take my advice, I raised you, look how that turned out.' which just sends Twig into a progressive downwards spiral but in the end they all go to family night at Spinda's cafe and listen to a Kricketune perform and Manaphy sings for the first time and everything is right in the world.

To be more clear, Manaphy popped out of his egg a very intelligent toddler, and they described him by the age that he behaved rather than the age he was. They didn’t have him for a full five years.

Twig going to Grovyle for parenting advice because she’s panicking and getting this interaction while Kip is having the best time with Manaphy on a Father-Son Outing is absolutely hilarious, though, and is tempting me to declare it canon instead of Twig and Kip never mentioning Manaphy to the Future Trio before they have a joyful reunion with their baby.
