honestly im really salty because ive already spent hundreds of hours in trying to make content for my dream and i would spend so much more time creating cool shit if i knew there was a player base, but because the few on are always AFK, i dont bother

it kills me bc i have so much muse to make patches, dreamweave, and rp, but theres no one to share these things with

Shadow World

A furcadia dream I’ve been working on, based on a few IRL nightmares/dreams I’ve had.

It’s an entirely greyscale dream, save for a few important things (like the blue glowing flowers)

the greyscale is supposed to emulate how a room looks with very little light (you can barely see things, and everything you do see is greyscale)

Some of the rooms and halls will randomize as you travel through the dream. There will be many rooms, and some outside areas, and hopefully via this randomization it will make the dream seem vast and surreal.

I’ve been thinking about pixel art, lately, and it got me thinking about this little big project of a friend and mine’s. It was built back in 2010 and is my biggest Furcadia dream(a dream in furc is like a chatroom on a chat server, basically) undertaking to date. It was a whole town setting complete with all the typical shops and buildings you’d find in the setting it was a part of (furc’ medieval canon).

Unfortunately, not long after it was opened to the public, my desire to rp and have anything to do with rp went and fucked off, and I just couldn’t gather the want to take this dream to 100% completion. There was plans to make it look a little more lived in - maybe add the odd npc outside, and other things to make it look like the fishing village it was meant to be. The interior shots certainly look rather bare to me, these days XD.

Pretty much all the buildings’ walls are my work, excluding the rafters, lion-gargoyles, roof tiles, and door frames; I was going for a Skingrad meets Cheydinhal look when I designed it X3. The rest is default furc items or stuff made by other people. I did do the roads, tavern sign, decorated ship wheels, bird head, bar, rugs, & street torches, though.

So yeah, I had plans to show this off someday, and here it is. I’m kinda having the itch to do something like this again, except Fallout-related. The not-fun part, if I ever have the want to make the undertaking functional, will be to edit all the anthro avatars into humans. Already, I can envision a power armor avatar, a raider, a typical wastelander, super mutant, ghoul, etc etc… but having some experience with avatars, they take a lot of work, even if I were to edit the default furc humans XD;. And then there’s ports..

One day, maybe. Right now, this is just a desire to build another pixel town, not run a rp dream. I’m not even sure if there’s any pre-existing Fallout dreams.

I do very much enjoy pixelling. In this case, I made individual items, then placed  them on a gridded map.

After a year of working on this (when my own energy levels allowed, *cough*), I’ve finally pulled together the preview dream for Eponymous, Harmonious.  This will eventually be a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic role play dream, but I’ve still got quite a ways to go before the proper dream is ready. For now, I’ve assembled a small area to hang out in. The Furcadia dream can be found here: furc://eponymousharmonious:mlpfimpreview/ The dream is currently running with avatars made by Vai. The rest of the patches shown were made by me. My main character on Furcadia is Kono, but the character I’m using for this dream is AyJae. The bushes were revamped from items I purchased off of The Shadow Rider, of which I only kept the general shape and otherwise resurfaced. I will be looking to hire some help with patching, for the sake of getting the dream open for everyone to enjoy sooner. Shoot me a whisper in-game if you’re interested in doing some stylized pony patch commissions.

——(Dunno what this ‘Furcadia’ stuff is? Go go go. Think of it as a ‘game’ that offers creative tools and leaves the players responsible for the content; I chose ponies as the content to add. :P)
