when i was 13 and using tumblr i had a mutual who i think was 23 Maybe 32 idk at my age those numbers were the same. old. and she messaged me one night to say hey my partner (long-distance tumblr mutual relationship, partner and i not mutuals) and i are going to do something and you'll prob see it on your dash just ignore it. but i was 13 and very confused so when i saw that mutual was claiming partner sent her a box of partner's shit and every mutual in law and follower was in a frenzy, i sent message to partner asking for clarification while condemning what they'd done. then they both publicly came clean asap and said they were just curious how ppl would react. tumblr mutuals aren't fucking insane like that anymore
