“NOTHING… “ She was honest there. She didn’t remember anything. Maybe she dreamed of some faced but other than that if she so much tried to think about her past, the head aches would come. “You cant force something && you can’t just tell me we were best friends. Look, I’m sorry but I can’t deal with this.” Allison shook her head. She needed a drink or two to process this. She needed answers. “I can’t remember you and I don’t remember. “
Tumblr media
SHE HAD BEEN SO OVERWHELMED by what she had never considered a possible scenario to be landed in, along with the painful feeling of having her best friend admit to not having a single idea who she was right to her face that the redhead happened to forget something. “ wait, “ suddenly, hands begin to dig frantically into her handbag across her left shoulder, all until she pulls out her cellphone. “ i can SHOW you. “ the redhead promises, knowing she’s already bothering allison to the point of being ready to abandon the pathetically devastated redhead right in the street. finally, after a moment of panicked scrolling, the bright screen is turned in the direction of the opposing female. “ thats YOU, allison --- that’s us. “ flicking to another image, the femme continues to hold the cell in the opposing girls direction. “ take it, look through it, there’s HUNDREDS of them --- of us, you, me, even scott and stiles. you can’t deny it when the proof is right there in front of you. “

Allison looked at her. Seeing only a stranger before her. Yet part of her couldn’t help but wonder if it was true. She had dreams about the Oni but other than that the rest were a blur to her. “I DON’T KNOW YOU OR REMEMBER YOU.” Allison told her. If she did die the witch had a lot of explaining to do. “I don’t know why would you lie or not about it. Not like I trust you.” She didn’t trust anyone but something in her pained when she told the red-head that. Who was she suppose to trust now?
Tumblr media
IT FELT LIKE HER HEART WAS SHATTERING, a million pieces at once --- the shards inflicting her body from the inside. everything hurt, no, it ACHED.  “ there has to be something, “ the redhead half mumbled, hands coming up to brush curls frantically from her face. “ some sort of connection, emotional tether we can tap into --- SOMETHING we can do to make you remember. “ lydia martin was never desperate, she never begged, never dared to show herself as being so weak --- however this, this she would get on her hands and knees and plead for. anything to get allison’s memories back, to get her best friend back. “ what is the last thing you remember ? “

Jumping slightly at the voice seeing as though she had been focusing on something else, Juliet turns and looks down towards the other with eyebrows furrowed, she seemed familiar, but she couldn’t exactly place why at that very moment. “Sorry, I’m not from around here, I just..arrived recently. This place is way different than Beacon Hills.” She muses softly with a frown. “I’m sure that it does though.”
Tumblr media
ADMITTEDLY LYDIA HADN’T BEEN PAYING TOO MUCH ATTENTION to the figure she had approached, otherwise she might have recognised the femme from her hometown. juliet hart --- stood right before her alive as ever, or well, as alive as one can be when brought back from the dead. truthfully, the banshee had looked into the opposing girls death, and for a period of time it might’ve been too obsessively that she did so. albeit, the pain she felt while wailing on the night of juliet’s death was almost unbearable, DEAFENING. hearing another banshee scream for her own ending was horrifying, something that secretly haunted the redhead for a period of time afterward. “ you’re juliet, “ completely disregarding the previous conversation, nimble fingers come up to push a lock of stray curls behind one ear, voice going low. “ you’ve come back, haven’t you ? like the rest of them. “

Allison wasnt sure what to do at this point of being told that she died. Was it possible? No. She wasn’t the one that was dead and the only reason she couldn’t remember anything was because  she had hit her head hard. It was what the witch told her. She believed her. After all it was her that helped her? She searched in her mind the name Lydia and all she got was a headache and it hurts. Unaware of the fact that the witch had made sure her mind didn’t release at the sight of someone she held an emotional connection to. “I don’t know you. I might not remember much but If were were best friends, I would be feeling something… “ Did she? “I’m alive here. How could I died saving you?” She shook her head as she rubbed her temples, hoping to ease the pain, wanting to force herself to remember. “You probably are confusing me with a different allison.” Though the thought was a little ridiculous but not so far off. A lot of people in town were in an emotional state.
Tumblr media
THE MORE ALLISON SPOKE the greater the pain in her chest grew, that hole she’d felt gaping since the day she lost her best friend hurt more now than EVER. briefly, lydia is so overwhelmed with emotion she remains in a standstill, allowing the brunette’s words to fire at her like bullets --- each coming with their own painful sting. “ allison, PLEASE --- “ the way she pleads is all too desperate, fingers reaching out to grasp at the opposing girls wrist. “ i don’t know why you can’t remember me, but you HAVE to believe me. you died, you came to save my life and you died. it was the oni, underneath the control of the nogitsune. you remember, right ? “ the idea that allison didn’t remember her was unbearable enough, but what made matters even worse was that she didn’t remember how she died --- like her heroic death to save her best friend meant nothing now. “ allison, i could never confuse you with anyone else. something happened when the witches casted the spell and the dead began rising and now for some reason you can’t remember me, or i’m guessing anything. but you have to believe me, i wouldn’t lie to anyone about this. why would i ? “

IN THE MIDST OF EVERYTHING lydia martin had wound up in none other than the mystic grill, nursing a martini as she intently studied some records of the town she’d pulled from the local library and oh my, was she glad she had been in the right place at the right time. merely minutes ago the femme couldn’t help but overhear a voice from down the bar echo a name she’d heard of only a handful of times before --- a WINCHESTER. a concoction of disbelief and curiosity was what influenced her next movements, shoving the documents hastily into her bag and using slender fingers to scoop up the now empty glass. “ forgive me for eavesdropping, but did you say something about a winchester ? “ the banshee hoists herself onto the barstool next to him, ensuring to have her iconic lydia martin charm on full blast --- because if what she heard about these hunters was right, she was hoping he may have information on this towns current problem. extending the martini glass toward the bartender, a single finger gestures toward the male. “ and another of whatever he’s having too, please. “

Allison wasn’t sure why the red-head was looking at her like that and while part of her made it uncomfortable, the other part felt the need to hug her. Maybe it was because, something happened to the red-head? or perhaps it was an emotional day for her? With the dead being back, the red-head either saw a lost loved one or she came back herself and wanted to go to the library to find out more. Though how much info the public library will have, was very little in her opinion. She furrowed her eyebrow as she heard her name. Frowning, considering she didn’t recalled or knew the girl. “How do you know my NAME?” She asked, more so demanded her to tell her. “My name is Allison but I clearly don’t know who you are. So how do you know my name. ”
Tumblr media
ALLISON SEEMED TO MERELY FLINCH at the redhead’s emotional state --- let alone jump into her arms as she always fantasied their impossible reunion would go.  a mixture of despair and confusion spreads across her features, how could allison NOT remember her ? lydia tried to wrap her head around it, when she’d previously bumped into violet the femme seemed to remember her perfectly well, yet her own best friend couldn’t ? “ i don’t understand, “ certainly one of the first times the self-proclaimed genius has expressed such a thing, yet here she was. “ allison it’s, it’s me it’s LYDIA. “ red locks move animatedly as she shakes her head. the more the opposing girl who was all too familiar to her continued to see nothing but a stranger in lydia, the more she felt that open wound in her chest STING. it was like losing her all over again. “ you’re --- i’m, “ having to hold back on her tears as to not make such a show of herself in public, lydia raises her hand to attempt to brush away any tears slipping from the corners of her eyes. “ we were BEST FRIENDS --- you died trying to save my life ? “

in all the chaos going on,  he almost forgot about the redhead that’s mysteriously shown up at the doors of his school,  seemingly beckoned by the spell the witches had cast.   he was only reminded of her when he saw her at the base of the steps once more.   he sighs,  not because he didn’t care to see her but simply out of tiredness of the day,  and approaches.    ❝   i thought you’d be on the next trip back home by now.   ❞
Tumblr media
DRAWN BACK TO WHERE IT BEGAN once again, lydia resides outside the salvatore boarding school --- as though she’d come back for more. truthfully, she was debating on going inside to quiz the headmaster she’d originally bumped into for more information on the whole situation, considering she was at a standstill with figuring out what to do. “ believe me, it’s easier said than done --- “ scoff escaping between her lips as she strips her gaze from the building and instead directs it toward the male. “ i can’t go home until i know this is over, until i know my friends here are SAFE. i wouldn’t forgive myself if something happened to them and i didn’t do everything i could to be here to prevent it. “

“Why do you even care? I’m sure you and your little pack won’t miss me if I go.” The McCall pack had always been kind and generous, that was something Violet never understood. Why? What did they gain from helping other people if there was nothing in it for them? She had endured pain all her life and learned from an early age that you had to do what you had to do to survive. If other people got hurt along the way, that wasn’t her problem.  Violet’s eyebrows knitted together when she heard Lydia’s tone change. Her heart began to speed up, she was sure the banshee could hear it beating in her chest. For a second she thought she felt each beat begin to sting.  No… “She what Lydia?” She refused to go to that place unless someone explicitly told her what happened. She refused to believe anything had happened to him, she couldn’t deal with that right now. Maybe Kate had kidnapped him and he was still alive? She’d go back for him. She’d leave in a heartbeat to get to him if it meant she could see he was okay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DESPITE being a self-proclaimed genius --- lydia had no idea how to approach this situation, her busy mind buzzing with thoughts, halves of sentences that didn’t work right or weren’t soft enough. NOTHING was good enough, nothing she was going to say would ever be good enough. “ violet, i’m sorry. “ is the only way she can think to begin things, almost trying to put herself into the position, into violets shoes. albeit, she didn’t have to go too far considering she too had lost her BEST FRIEND. luckily for violet, she didn’t have the displeasure of feeling it happen. “ kate found him after you, she --- “ every word sounded too harsh, too RAW. “ he died, violet. i’m, i’m SO sorry,” everything about her had gone from full of sass and fire to a softer version of herself, empathy clear in her voice for the loss of the opposing girl. “ maybe if you’re here, he will be too, maybe you’ll see him. “ pathetic attempts at optimism lydia begins to spare on behalf of the femme. although, it wasn’t entirely a lie, the possibility remained. albeit maybe the best way to go about this wasn’t promising her a future of seeing him.

❝ it has a library, but i can’t tell you if it’s better than the one at beacon hills high. i’ve never been. ❞ scott admitted with a humored smile and nodded in the direction down the street for her to follow next to him. he just got off his shift at work that ended up being one of his most distracted ones. his boss wasn’t as laid-back as deaton was or in the know about supernatural and liked to chew him out whenever he didn’t pay that great of attention which wasn’t often, but he could not bring himself to force focus when the place he called home was becoming filled with more dead people by the minute. ❝ i’ll walk with you. what were you hoping to find? ❞
Tumblr media
“ SOMEHOW, that doesn’t surprise me. “ lydia confesses, a playful smile lighting up red painted lips. joining by scott’s side, heeled boots click against the pavement as she follows in his footsteps. “ at this point, anything and EVERYTHING, “ the redhead expresses, a heavy sigh escaping her, slender hand coming up to push bright curls from her face. “ i’m thinking of starting with the towns history, seeing if they have any records of anything similar to what drew me here, and although it may be a little TOO optimistic --- hopefully an answer on how to fix all of this. “ gaze shifts to the male next to her, concern clearly plastered across her features now that she was with scott --- someone she could actually trust to let her walls down with. “ i can’t go back to beacon hills until i know that this is OVER, i was drawn here for a reason, scott. and i can’t leave knowing that i didn’t do everything to try and figure out how to stop this, or god forbid something happened to any of you.“

❝   down the street and to your right.   big brick building,  hard to miss.   ❞   he says,  nonchalantly.   it takes him a moment to realize what this girl was.   but when he looks at her,  he knows.  a banshee.   harbingers of death had a way of picking each other out of a crowd,  though she seemed new to town,  and he wondered if she had any idea of the supernatural of mystic falls ( lord knows his own kind was scarce in these parts. )
Tumblr media
CHARMING SMILE spreads across red painted lips, a visual of her appreciation of the directions. “ thank you, some people make it out as though it’s such a task to help out a tourist for a split second. “ lydia expresses, about to begin another overdramatic statement to sell her whole ‘tourist’ story, when a realisation hits her. it’s a feeling, the same one she’d felt with parrish, and even halwyn --- as though she was drawn to him. judging by the way his gaze falls over her, he’s thinking the same thing. “ how long have you been here ? “ suddenly, her voice takes a turn, almost as though an interrogation. considering their relation of supernatural ability, the strawberry blonde was curious as to whether he was drawn here for the same reason she was.

Allison made sure to know the town well enough to walk through it blindly. Being just a day here, she could never be too careful. On top of it all the witch had told her, this town was just getting started and not as boring as it seems once people get the party going. Turning towards the red-head the brunette looked at her as she spoke. Something about her making her feel at ease but Allison just regarded it as just one of those faces. “Two blocks away from here, pretty sure of it. “
Tumblr media
WITH HER FOCUS entirely dedicated to figuring out what the quaint little town she’d landed herself in was capable of, the redhead hadn’t paid much attention to that of the figure she’d approached. albeit, even if she did lydia would hardly believe her eyes --- much like she couldn’t the moment brunette locks shifted to reveal an all too familiar face. “ no, “ practically inaudibly the single word escaped her with a breath. all of a sudden, the banshee is frozen in place, starring directly at the one person she’d longed to be reunited with for years now. the one person she’d never FORGIVE herself for letting die, especially not for attempting to recuse her. to this day, lydia could still recall the PAIN that practically crushed her entire being feeling the death of her best friend --- the first person in years she’d managed to have a genuine connection to, the girl who changed her life. “ ALLISON, “ tears begging to burst from her waterline, so overwhelmed with emotion. albeit, what lydia couldn’t understand was how candid allison had been about informing her of the location she’d been searching for, rather than enduring in an emotional reunion with her best friend. “ allison it’s, it’s you right ? “ brows beginning to furrow in confusion, attempting to figure out what might be going on here, despite the fact she wanted to believe nothing other than this was allison --- HER allison.

“nope, nope, nope. i won’t have you sporting my brother’s horrible sense of fashion. we’ll make sure to get you something that’s lydia approved.” besides nursing, leanne totally had a love for fashion. she splurged when she could. “don’t worry, i’m sure you’ll get the hang of this place. if i was able to grow accustom to it quickly, i’m sure you can too.” she grabbed on her wrist gently and led her to the library. “what are you looking for in the library?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
something along the lines of a soft chuckle escapes her, hands raising in a playful defence toward the younger femme. “ alright, alright --- i won’t go near scott’s closet as long as you promise me a trip to the nearest and cutest boutique. “ who would’ve known this unpredicted trip would end in her having to update her closet from whatever clothing she’d already happened to have left in her car because of an extended stay. however, with recent events she couldn’t afford to leave --- not when her pack was here and the possibility of danger lingered. allowing the petite girl to lead the way, shoulders shrugged carelessly. “ oh, i’m just CURIOUS on the town’s history, that’s all. i like to know my facts. “

the girl was a spitfire. all the woman in his life shot fiery words to him so this was nothing new to him. he chuckled at her insult, finding it amusing how he angered her with a few simple words. “see, now you’re seeing me from who i am.” he smirked walking closer to her. there was something about her presence. she seemed human but something was off. “wasting my breath on you is asking too much. i have much more pressing matters to deal with than helping you.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“ NOT TO WORRY, i’ve had my fair share of experience with guys like you --- all toxic masculinity and alpha male nonsense, i’m more aware of how to handle it now than ever. “ the femme educated her newfound companion, as though he was ANYTHING in compassion to the boys she’d dealt with in highschool or college. albeit, it isn’t until he steps closer toward her does a shiver flow over her spine --- her body having a sudden realisation that something wasn’t RIGHT. briefly, lydia found herself perplexed, convinced she could feel death seeping off of him, brows furrowed as the banshee observed him intently. eyes finally meet that of his, the possibility of what he could be driving her already buzzing mind INSANE. despite the fact she had a plausible idea, lydia couldn’t be sure, it wasn’t as though she’d come across something like him in beacon hills --- if her predictions were right. attempting to hide the slight intimation that suddenly coursed through her veins, lydia continues to put up a fight. “ well you’re still here, wasting all your BREATH, so why not waste it one last time with giving me the information i need ? “

Violet sighed and leaned against the nearby brick wall. “Of course you are.” The McCall pack went everywhere together. If you found one of them, you found the rest of them. She replied when Lydia told her that she and Scott were roommates. “Well it’s not like she could kill me again. For real this time.” She was about to say something else until another thought popped into her head. “Wait, is Garrett here?” She asked leaning off the wall. “Or is he still back in Beacon Hills?” She’d tried to call him using a strangers phone but the number had disconnected.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“ NEVER SAY NEVER, we don’t know what’s happening to you. for all we know doing you any damage right now may put a stop to whatever THIS is,” extending a single finger, lydia directs it toward violet. “ killing you may mean you’ll never come back, for good. as a ghost, or to harbingers of death like myself. “ the last question violet asks is enough to render the strawberry blonde momentarily silent, lips falling closed as she attempts to think of a way to put it without it being so --- RAW. “ violet, “ lydia begins, the mere idea of having to tell her what had happened to her companion made her feel guilty, as though being a banshee wasn’t burden enough, now she actually had to deliver the news of a DEATH. plus, she knew that feeling, the feeling of losing your best friend, a piece of you. “ kate, she --- “
