Thoughts on table TT? Thanks.
they’re awesome seats! expect a lot of interaction with both principals and ensemble members. a lot of people will come and sit next to you! i believe that is the table where mary picks her suitor for private and intimate but i may need someone to confirm that.

These are my seats (excluding the black one, i just couldn’t get it to draw that small)- i sent an ask too, i saw wondering what to expect there- thank you again!! 💕
Hey friend those are awesome seats and you are right next to the main platform running thru the orchestra and connecting to the stage! expect a lot of interaction from both ensemble members and principals, as well as a lot of people whooshing past you!

Hi. I bought a seat at the sunken tavern bar table on what I believe is stage left (it's the three seat one). I was wondering what exactly I can expect to happen around there?
hi! those are some awesome seats! expect a TON of interaction! you’ll get heaps and heaps of ensemble interaction, as well as a lot of principal interaction! especially with hélène and dolokhov. dolokhov will actually come over to your section and kiss the hand of one of the three people sitting at the stools. i’m not sure which seat it is though.

So my mom and I sat in the right rear mezz, seats 6&7 row E last Tuesday! That’s Cathryn’s section for preshow and I got pierogi. She goes pretty far back with them and spread them out super evenly. The seats have a clear view of everything except for a tiny bit of No One Else and a tiny bit of when Anatole enters in the Opera and goes to the banquettes. During Dust and Ashes you can see the cast behind the curtains lined up to come out which I thought was super cool. They view of the comet at the end is absolutely breathtaking and I would definitely sit in those seats again.

I bought tickets to see Oak's last performance, we are in the left orchestra row n. I thought they would be good seats but ive been reading a lot of iffy reviews about orchestra seats, i was wondering if anyone had sat near there and couldnt see anything (the tickets didnt say obstructed view, but im stressing). Thank you for your time
hi! i’m pretty sure those seats will be fine. if you’re closer to the outer aisle (on the far left) some of house left (aka stage right) might be blocked by the stairs. but nothing too important will happen there. you might miss some of natasha & tbe bolkonskys though.

My friend and I rushed Great Comet on July 23rd, and we actually got really good seats. We were in the right side of the orchestra, in row e, the row right in front of the platform, in the two furthest seats. Marya gives out the pierogis to the rows behind the platform, so Grace McLean was right behind us until her part in Prologue. We had a rather good view even though we sat so far to the right, although we couldn’t see Bolkonsky during Private and Intimate Life of the House, and my friend (who had the last seat in the row) couldn’t see Anatole stopping to look in the mirror at the beginning of Natasha and Anatole, so I had to explain the joke. We had a great view of the center of the stage (and now I really want to sit in the stage right sunken tavern. Those looked liked great seats.) There was a lot going on around us during Balaga and the Abduction. My friend got the last egg shaker. There was a lot of cool dancing and violin playing going on behind us, so I wasn’t really watching the stage for most of that segment. Also, Denee was dancing on the platform during the Abduction, so she was right behind us. It was a great experience.

This is pretty stupid lol but if I were seeing great comet, what seat would I most be able to see the whole Anatole "duck in water" line in the duel? I just rlly love that line and want to see it up close lol thanks
UR NOT ALONE THAT IS THE BEST LINE IN THE SHOW
the line happens right in front of the string tables (TR, TQ, TP, TO) so thats the absolute best place to see it. he will be literally inches away from you, and then stay there for the rest of his solo (as some ensemble members get quite…intimate with him) but i’m sure you will have a nice view from almost anywhere onstage. really anywhere onstage you will have a nice view, even better at the pizza tables or front stage right banquettes. i’m almost positive that there won’t be a seat where you won’t be able to see that glorious moment.

what is "the anatole" seat and why do people keep talking about it?? :/
the anatole seat is row bb seat 17 in the banquettes! that is where during the abduction, anatole will ask you to scooch over, sit down next to you, and put his arm around you during the russian custom part. he will fist bump you if you’re a guy, kiss you on the cheek if you’re a girl, or m high five you if you’re a kid! i have sat there before and i would definitely recommend it.

Hi! How is the second row of the center orchestra for interaction and view?
hi! i know that row c is awesome for interaction, since you have the aisles on both sides, as well as the major platform snaking through that section. there will be a lot of ensemble interaction. not as much with the principals, but they will rush past you a lot!
as for the view, i’m not sure. i do know that the house is raked, but, in front of you there will be the sunken tavern. I don’t know how much that blocks. does anyone know about the view in these seats?

can you see the danatole kiss from the stage right (left facing stage) banquets, the front row in particular?
i think from there (the stage right/house left banquettes) it will happen like a couple yards away from you! it happens to the (stage) right of the stage right sunken tavern so as long as you sit closer to the inner aisle you’ll have a great view lol
(if anyone has any input on this pls reblog or reply bc this is just based on the bootleg and my experience)

Hey! I'm hoping to get tickets soon but I can't decide between front mezz and banquettes. I want to have a fairly good view (I know the overall view will be better in mezz but I think I'll still be able to see a lot of stage stuff in the banquettes?) but I also want to have a decent chance at interaction. What do you think?
hi! i think that they both have a great view and a lot of interaction. you really could choose either one. front mezz has a ton of stuff going on, and the banquettes are right in the center of the action.
i personally like the banquettes the best, but the front mezz is just as good!

hi yall i just started this blog and i answer questions and take user submissions about seating feel free to stop by :)
Do you know if there's a Tumblr or somewhere that gathers how the experience is from each kind of seating? I literally took a second job to pay for SC 1 & 2 since I dreamed of sitting on stage but I'm worried they were not a smart choice. (Or if anyone has sat there, their experience would help a lot. Thanks!)
Playbill posted a seating chart specifically for The Great Comet. It lists some experiences with each type of seating.
There are also people around Tumblr that had seen the show with stage seating. Anyone who had stage seating in the show or has opinions generally about seating in the Great Comet is welcomed to help out this anon!

Any input on Armchairs SC 1 & 2 would be super appreciated!
i would definitely recommend these seats! the first time i saw the show i was sitting in the tables right behind these seats so i can definitely say these seats will be awesome.
there will be a lot of interaction with the ensemble, as well as almost every principal character. people will be right in front of you a lot. you will get a nice view of a lot of really special moments in ensemble numbers as well as solo numbers. there’s a high chance of getting a pierogie and a letter. a shaker will be nearly guaranteed!
(i have some of the more specific stuff in the tags, i don’t know how surprised you want to be, so they’re there if you want to look)
