Just had the juiciest HC in my head while reading your fic, it's a mix of other hcs I've read and applying on the fic

Basically is that Laxus, Cana, Mirajane and [Name] are the "everybody had (or still have) a crush (at least) on one of them at some point since joined the Guild" quartet

It's canonical event, no one can escape

The first generation of kid's who have grown up in the guild have the first hand experience with the "awkward teenage crush fase"

This also apply to people from outside of the guild and other guild's member's who had seen or interacted with them

No one say's something about it bcs it will be double edge exposure for everyone

Heck even the people from the quartet itself had crush on each other at some point

idk if I wrote it explicitly in the fic, but pre-timeskip {name} is meant to be about a year younger then natsu and gray. so she's around the same age as them, erza, and cana, but laxus and mirajane are technically the generation above them. she definitely had a puppy crush on both of them when she was younger; with cana it's a more equivalent/reciprocated development

that being said, post-timeskip... all eyes are on {name}! she's definitely not the dorky, reckless, loud-mouthed kid of seven years ago... more on that in the coming chapters >:]

I know those sick hcs you made are meant to be sweet with all the guildmates coming together to help out, but all I can imagine is then all worried the reader is about to die. They've all dealt with out of nowhere illnesses before. Now half the guild is being obsessively protective over the reader and their health and the other half is expecting you to bite it any second. Don't worry, they aren't going to be part of someone else's tragic backstory on their watch.

...you're so right anon. there's so many characters I can think of who will hide their illness until the last minute: gray, definitely (@sun-stricken your headcanons about gray are gold); cana claims that alcohol can heal any of her issues (it cannot); natsu (because he doesn't know his limits...)

most of fairy tail will give porlyusica a field day with their self-destructive habits. they're very hypocritical, though, in wanting everyone else to take care of themselves.

you threw yourself in the way of danger so natsu wouldn't take the hit? you're stupid, reckless, a total idiot, how dare you scare him like that?! (he took an attack for you not even ten minutes ago)

you haven't been eating three meals a day because you're so focused on training? erza's dragging you into the guild hall for mira's homemade dinner. you really need to take care of yourself, y'know? food is fuel for the body! (she hasn't eaten dinner for the past week)

Wendy Headcanons!

My fav! Quick heads up if you haven't read it, but a couple of these are derived from the Blue Mistral spinoff.

Natsu once asked her what air tasted like to her and she's been wracking her brain trying to describe it ever since. It does have specific tastes to her (Edolas' in particular was very distinctive) but it's not really something she can put into words.

Wendy's time in Aiya Village made her realize that she kind of liked being seen as a boy, at least sometimes. She isn't really sure why she feels that way, but sometimes when she's on solo jobs (And later during team missions when she's more confident about it), she'll complete them as Wendell. Carla doesn't quite understand it, but as long as Wendy isn't picking up any bad habits from Natsu, Gray, or the other guys in the guild, you won't see her judging.

Wendy was once convinced to join one of Fairy Tail's infamous brawls and ended up accidentally blowing four people through a wall. She won't admit it, but she kind of wants to do it again.

She still keeps up with everyone from Blue Mistral after the time skip. They mostly write to each other, but Emily will visit Magnolia from time to time.

She's been learning regular hand-to-hand from Erza for situations where she might not be able to use her magic. And while she doesn't have the same commanding presence as Erza, Gray and Natus sometimes feel a chill go down their spines when they see her sparring.

Wendy draws in her spare time! She tends to keep it to herself, but she'll show off her sketchbook if someone asks. It's full of everything from weird dreams she's had, still life sketches, to doodles of her guildmates.

A lot of the children in Magnolia love her. Once, she was walking by the park while some kids were struggling to get their kites in the air, so she created a small gust of wind to get them going. Now, there's a small army of kids with kites that hangs around outside the guild and ask for her.

Wendy has a handmade flag with Cait Shelter's guild mark hanging up in her room. After Fairy Tail disbanded, a flag with its mark joined the Cait Shelter one, and then a Lamia Scale flag joined them a year later. And while Wendy doesn't often lose her temper outside of a fight, Carla pities anybody dumb enough to damage them.

This girl can not get on a train without something happening. If it isn't something big like it getting robbed or her falling out of a hole in the coach made by Natsu and Gray, it's either getting delayed, she'll trip getting on board, or some other problem. Strangely, a lot of these stopped happening as much once she developed motion sickness. Carla and Chelia joke that it's the universe taking pity on her.

He has shown no interest in dating, he prioritises friendship over romance. He doesn't mind people being in love but friends and family is what he loves more.

HELL YEAH HE IS!!!

even putting romantic relationships aside, I think natsu would be appalled at the idea of prioritizing any singular relationship over all other ones.

I'm always on the fence about whether I want to write natsu as oblivious and not picking up on romantic signals or if I want to write him knowing damn well what someone's trying to do and not caring anyway.

the latter might work more so in the context of other people trying to flirt with his friends. natsu strikes me as the type of guy to completely miss if someone was flirting with him and then not care when he finds out. (this drives team natsu nuts because they can't shake natsu at all but he is very good at flustering them.)

you know what i need, more lisanna. i haven’t read 100 year quest but i just feel like i need more content of her that isn’t just fighting or being with her siblings. not that it’s not good, i just need her.

like, my girl frickin died. except, she didn’t because of magic reasons. she got separated from her friends and family and the boy she loved and transported to another world that has them, but not them.

and, (i’m headcannoning here) she tries to go on. she still has her siblings, just different versions of them. i bet she tries connecting with the version of the boy she loved but finds that this new girl, though not new there, is a much better match.

it’s fine though. she knows he’s not the same natsu anyways. lisanna keeps going. she keeps trying to become their family, but she can’t help but miss her old one. have they forgotten about her already?

she keeps going. keeps moving on or at least trying to. they need a lisanna, she needs a home. she has to be there for them.

and then she’s back. back, to her real home. her real family. she can’t help but feel her hard work was for nothing.

but the world has moved on. everyone has moved on. they’re happy that she’s back, but now she doesn’t know what to do. everything’s so different now. she feels like she’s back in edolas, lost in a whole new world where everything isn’t the same as before.

even the boy she once loved is different. lucy’s there too after all. she tries to rekindle what they once had, but he’s moved on. and in a way she has to.

she goes on quests with her siblings, with old and new friends. she tries to get back into the loop. but people still forget that she’s back from time to time, still jump when seeing her. but eventually, she gets to a point where everything seems to be okay.

and then tenrou island happens. and she’s been gone for seven years this time. she had just started putting her names in the papers again, and now she had to start over.

she puts on a smile, encourages her friends that it will all be okay in the end. she doesn’t really believe it herself.

she is lisanna strauss. the ghost of fairy tail, and the girl who died twice.

basically i just want a lisanna arc.

one of my favorite under looked dynamics in fairy tail is between gajeel and jet & droy because these 3 are levy's biggest fans. they love and support everything she does but the funniest part is how hard gajeel probably had to fight jet and droy to get into the levy fanclub. it's not that he needs their approval to love levy per say it's more so that they're gatekeepers. they're the type of guys who'll say stuff like, "you like levy? name her top 10 greatest moments," and before gajeel develops feelings for her he's just kind of annoyed by them. he's trying to do this whole redemption arc thing and they're in his way but after tenrou he just starts playing into it because he gets them now.

"when she gets really into a book and her eyebrows start to furrow. that's pretty good." once gajevy start dating though, jet and droy have enough respect for both of them to stop with the romance. they're heartbroken but they'll get over it, friendship is more important. they're still levy's number 1 and 2 fans though, gajeel can pry that spot out of their cold dead hands.

sometimes people forget that gajeel is also friends with jet and droy, they'll ask, "hey, gajeel what did you do over the weekend?"

"I was fishing with jet and droy."

"what? why?"

"we go fishing every month. it's tradition."

gajeel will literally never say it but he appreciates their friendship. it's a symbol of how far he's come that jet and droy are able to forgive him when originally they were pretty cold to him
