Current State of NaLu:

The new 100YQ chapter just reaffirms the current theory of Natsu thinking him and Lucy are dating without asking her or knowing that she doesn't think the same 😭.

NaLu was never "will they, won't they", it's "when will they (realize that they're totally not on the same page about their relationship despite having mutual feelings because one is thinking about marriage while the other is convinced her feelings are unrequited)"

Anyways I'm free from exams so I'll have free time!!! I'll try to improve my art lol. Toodles—!

hear me out: natsu and lucy swapping bodies gruvia style, except it has to be mid-fight (bc otherwise natsu would grab onto lucy’s tits like it’s his lifeline), and they both struggle with using each other’s magic, but (and this is IMPORTANT!!!) there’s a short panel where natsu is shocked over how much magical power lucy’s body has (bc bringing out entire spirits and their physical body takes a LOT of power, you can’t tell me it’s easy)

and also they run away from the villains they’re fighting bc they’re vulnerable in their current states, and then they have to teach each other their magic bc they don’t know how long they’ll be stuck like that WHICH !! is the first step for them to be able to do a unison raid!

My favorite part about the new Cobra chapter is the fact that Laxus deadass looks this man in the eye, KNOWING HE CAN HEAR THOUGHTS, and thinks, "I could kill you in ten- No, five. Fucking. Seconds."

AND THEN JUST GOES, "Nice to meet you," AS IF HE DIDN'T JUST THREATEN THE POOR BASTARD LMAO

Finally, some decent development.

Let's talk about it.

I like Lucy and all but sometimes it's a bit too much. Like how can you be sad over the death of someone you just met? Ik it's Fairytail and their Nakama power and stuff but this? They barely had 2-3 interactions.

If Kiria sacrificed herself, that would have made more sense. Plus, I like how Natsu motivated Lucy to fight because everyone else was fighting too and she was just standing. I didn't even realise that she wasn't fighting until Natsu said it. And then I realised, ofc Lucy wouldn't wanna hurt a friend.

Also, I really liked the fact that Natsu wants Lucy to fight.

They were the OG team, from the very beginning!! It was just her, Natsu and Happy that started it!! And Natsu wants Lucy by her side, because no matter what happens Lucy has always been by his side. In good and bad, in sickness and in health, in every adventure, in every fight!

She may not fight at all, like in the beginning of the series when she was a scaredy cat or just do a thing or two to contribute.

Or she may put an end to the entire conflict all by herself, but her presence has always mattered.

Her spirit has always mattered.

And that's why this moment is important.

It might be the only decent bit from this chapter and I want this arc to be over already, but I can't help but praise when something good happens, especially regarding Nalu, since DAMN I want them to end up together already!!!

I read the 100yrs quest and I loved Irene and Wendy's (teacher/student) dynamic, just wanted to know what were your thoughts on it and if you got any personal headcanons hehe

Part of me wishes Irene stayed around. She had such a shitty life, it would've been nice to see her find genuine happiness and grow...

So, yes, I have many thoughts about them.

Wendy still hears Irene's advice in her head. Even years after Irene is gone

Irene will kill someone for Wendy. No questions asked. She's so protective of her

Irene views Wendy as her daughter. She never says anything but has fully adopted the child (plus she knows Erza is close to her so)

Wendy has figured out Irene has a soft spot for her but doesn't know the extent of it

Wendy has started confiding in Irene about personal stuff as well as magic. Irene doesn't always give the best advice but she does try (tho half the time its like "murder them")

Irene really enjoys viewing the world from Wendy's perspective. Wendy sees the good in every situation and Irene finds it refreshing

Wendy loves her lessons and has started looking forward to Irene's teaching. They soon map out a specific time where Irene can give her proper instruction (instead of the life or death lessons mid battle)

Even tho Irene claims she has no interest in Erza, Wendy tells her about her daughter often. She's told her about all Erza's accomplishments, how much she's loved, silly stories, sad stories and basically everything she can think of.

Wendy likes to hear stories about Irene's life. Irene tries to give her the happy ones mostly, but every once in awhile she'll let a sad one slip. Wendy is a very good listener and it's become very therapeutic for Irene (she tries not to burden the little girl with her trauma tho)

Ik this is old news but i never really voiced how great this idea was

Like HELLO!! Dude became a mini-laxus!!! I just really like the concept of our characters wielding 2nd magic powers, like let’s say Gray can do simple water spells, Happy can do simple forms of transformation (like Carla), Wendy ofc lowkey already wields 2 abilities (the offensive wind magic and the more defensive healing magic) and idk what Lucy and Erza would do but I really like the idea of Lucy being able to use other types of holders magic (like when she attempted to use Cana’s cards) OR she can equip like Erza (remember how some guild member said her celestial dresses were similar to equip magic? Idk maybe) and maybe Erza could do simple transformations? When she can’t equip? Idk i just feel like Mira would drill her into at least being able to transform in some way

Idk i just like the idea of them having “backup magic” in case their preferred magic gets blocked
