     In spite of everything I said in my last post, I can’t continue with this blog. This will be quite sudden and I’m sorry for that, but there’s something I had to do which entails moving on. I hope you can all understand and I’m sorry I couldn’t give more to this incredible community. Writeblr has been the best part of my tumblr experience by far and I’m so thankful I could read and share the work of such talented and dedicated people. Thank you, everyone. I hope you all live your best lives and write everything you want to write, and I hope you all get published. I truly wish only the best for all of you. Thank you for following me and supporting my work, it really meant a lot to me.

     Hi guys. It’s been… a while. I’ve been absent for pretty much the entire year, and I figured I should give an overview as to where I am and what I’m doing.

     As many of you know, I left Australia back in June and moved back to the UK, which was huge and unexpected, and I had to leave a lot of people behind. I’ll be honest, that took a lot of energy out of me and it had a huge emotional and mental toll on me, too. But before that, back in April, Something Happened ™ which made me question whether or not I could continue with The Angel Peter. I think I posted about it and said I needed a bit of time to process what had happened; well, “a bit of time” has turned out to be pretty much this entire year. Ultimately, though, I think being undecided about my novel is what has caused me to go silent here. The last few weeks I think I’ve come to a decision, which is to abandon this work for good, despite how it breaks my heart to do so. 

     I’ve been working feverishly on something else behind the scenes for months and I managed to get that to some 400 pages but, in the end, the co-author I was working with isn’t comfortable with it getting published, so that is getting abandoned too. I was recently planning a collection of short stories regarding guardian angels in many different contexts and situations, but even this I think is beyond me at this point. I do have something I want to work on now, and it’s a little different from what I usually write, but it still concerns guardian angels. I don’t think I’ll reveal the title yet but I might post some excerpts here. It’s going to be shorter in length and far darker than my usual style, but I think it’ll be fun.

     To everyone here, thank you for supporting me and also for supporting The Angel Peter up until this point. Thank you for all the moodboards, playlists and other beautiful things you’ve given me, thank you for reblogging my work and giving me the kindest comments that always encouraged me to work harder. I appreciate you all so much. I check in from time to time and I can see the way you’re all growing as writers; I’m honestly so proud of you all. To my newer followers, thank you for sticking around despite this ongoing hiatus. I hope to be more active and present here soon.

i made a folder on googledrive for poetry&relevant literature that i find myself coming back to when i need to ground myself again. most are fairly well known so it’s also a good place to dive into literature if you haven’t already. all should be free to download but let me know & i’ll try to do something about it. hope some of you get just as much from these authors as i have.
