It's something I've been very curious about, re: the general fandom's point of view, but just going by the movies/immediate canon, do you think the Tusken raid on the Lars's homestead was just random happenstance on a dangerous world? Or do you think Palpatine had some hand in it, in the name of furthering Anakin's fall to the Dark Side?

Did Brador kill Laurence or someone else?
Okay so I realised that I never had a coherent reference, so here
Tumblr media
It is kind of visible in the game, but it is true that Old Brador does have unique head piece variant that is not accessble for the players by normal means without datamining (similarly to Arianna's pregnant state dress, Eileen's set variant torn by beast claws, Fauxsefka's barefoot leg piece etc)! And the difference here, is one horn being broken!
Tumblr media
Brador secluded himself in the cell and according to him we are the first person he meets physically past that time! It is not certain how exactly he died, only that it likely happened when he was old (and killed the Cleric Beast in his middle-age (?) state). If his words are any indication, it isn't likely that the horn got damaged in the battle or something like that! But at the same time, we meet Bradord in the Nightmare Realm, so he might in reality refer to just his stay here.
However, an interesting bit is that suggests that one horn might have gotten ruined with the time; in Chalice Dungeons, beast-like Messengers show horns developing asymmetrically!
Tumblr media
Coincidentally, they depict the same horn that Brador has broken as smaller one!
Tumblr media
Brador's beast hyde is specifically that of a Cleric Beast, which Laurence was the first precedent of, so what we know for certain is that Brador could not have had his hyde while Laurence was still alive! The Cleric Beast that he had to kill had to be either Laurence himself, or some Cleric Beast that came after Laurence's deasth!
Tumblr media
Laurence's beastly skull does have a hole in itself, and no traces of antlers, so this is actually a reasonable assumption that the scalp might be his! The model of headless Bloodletting Beast is drastically different, so I think it is safe to assume that they either never planned that implication or retconned it when DLC was finished! It lacks the asymmetrically larger left arm and has a tail, for one + from the version that does still have a head we can see this type of beasts lacks the antlers (the trademark of Cleric Beasts), let alone very different type of skull
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Models from this ( x ) video by Sinclair Lore) Ok ok sorry for making ya'll look at Laurence's ass I just need to show that in model he has no tail, and with the fur variant he has only the tiniest tuft of fur
On the other hand, only so many things could be blamed on them basically reusing Cleric Beast model for Laurence just with fire textures, as they're not entirely identical like I thought before! In fact, there is a potential evidence against linking him to Brador's hyde as the horns are different:
Tumblr media
Not only Laurence has one horn broken when the hyde Brador is wearing had both horns whole at the moment of the murder, but also it is the different horn; left one rather than the right one!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brador is wearing clothing that is almost identical to male Black Church set, who are the lower-ranking members of the Healing Church, whereas his headpiece says that the person he killed was his friend. Now, it is fair to assume that maybe someone from lower ranks was, in fact, not 'friends' with Laurence, who was THE head of the Healing Church!
Tumblr media
According to Alfred's dialogue we can further confirm that Healing Church leaders are so secretive that they do not give the full lore even to their own lower-ranking personnel, and Brador was only given his bell after the murder of that Cleric Beast!
Tumblr media
At the same time, Brador uses the Frenzy-Inducing Bloodletter, not unlike Black Church Servants with their crucifixes that cause Frenzy. Meanwhile, White Church Servants rely on the weapons that, on the contrary, are sensitive to high Insight: when you have 15 Insight or more, their lanters become covered with eyes and their scythes emit blue Arcane glow! Insight-sensitive weapons align with.. well, the bell that only someone aware of the Fishing Hamlet secret could hear.
So far, the evidence points more towards Brador having been a more or less lower-ranking member of the Healing Church, that one time killed his (higher-ranking?) cleric friend, not Laurence, but by effect learned too much about the Healing Church's secrets that were NOT meant for him, and obligated to keep them safe. It would align with his philosophy of some things "better left unknown", as if he regrets having learned all this, as well as with Laurence's horns not being true to his beast hyde scalp.
.....and yet, at the same time, I would not put it past Laurence to be friends with someone from lower rank, or maybe Brador's lower rank was merely a cover? Even his horns situation could be blamed on some life still yet residing in his scalp, and thus, the antlers attached to it still grow and crumble on their own. In other words, I do not have a strong point towards this or that version. Question isn't answered, but maybe some observations are helpful to choose one on your own!

Sneak Peak of Chapter Two of The Mar's Tomb Investigation
((this chapter has hands and has been fighting me like a fromsoft boss so yall can get a small treat of this snippet until i manage to wrangle it))
Sig leaned against a wall in the Slum out of way of foot traffic. Not that it would have mattered. Crowds of Havenites tended to part around big wastelanders with an intimidating cybernetic eye and reputation of working with Krew. Still, his mama didn't raise a rude boy, and he wasn't risking his mission just to bother some skittish, city folk. What he was looking for was too important for that. Meaning, he stood outta the way and tried to not attract unnecessary attention from the KG patrols, whilst he watched both sides of the Slums from the conjoining sector.
If he was lucky, he would be able to meet up with the chili peppers here.
If he was unlucky, it would be the starting point to tracking their actual location down.
The way he saw it there were two ways Jak and Daxter would break Tess and whoever else got rounded up by those Krimson Goons out of the prison. Via seeing it firsthand and word of mouth, Sig knew Jak liked to run in hot. Option one was therefore a loud explosive escape paired with a fast getaway vehicle. Option 1 was a good option. It was the kind of plan Sig missed pulling off himself, and it would see Jak and Daxter coming straight to Sig in no time flat.  Option two: transportation rings. Sig did not want it to be option two.
The blue eco powered transporters made for an easy way in and out of locations, and they were damn near untraceable. Unless, someone knew to set up a tracer ahead of time, which was more effort and eco than basically anyone wanted to spend. The Underground was lucky the Baron simply couldn't afford to waste the eco with his little war against the metalheads still ongoing. It was more effective to just set up more soldiers and turrets with that eco and prevent any escape in the first place. Any proper tracer was a pain to set up anyways. They took no less then three proper receivers, and each piece of equipment had to be set in a seperate location to allow triangulation. If the drop-off location was within that net, the receivers would pinpoint the location easily. If it was outside of the net, the triangulation would only give you a rough estimate of the direction and distance. Increasing the size of the net to fix that limitation brought its own issues. Namely, it increased the eco output needed to run. Spargus had set up several nets that could be used, but Sig's own personal one would work fine enough here. He didn't need exact coordinates to a Underground Midpoint or safe house, when he didn't have any excuse to know where to be knocking. He'd still be having to frame it as bumping into the boys randomly. He was just lucky he already knew and was friendly with the duo.
Sig wanted to sigh. Triangulation. Eco Nets. Subterfuge. Bluffs.Who would have thought his life would come to this. He was just lucky his identity in Haven was the simple brute. He was capable of doing this. Damas wouldn't have sent him otherwise, but it was mentally exhausting. Each little lie could be one more complications. Something he had to remember and continue to fake; unless, they were immediately nipped or based off of some truth.
It would be worth it for a chance to see Mar again. It was worth it. He mentally pulled up his big boy pants, but he made a note to himself to blow some frustration on the gun range. It wasn't like him to be the down in the dunes downer.
He would find Mar. He had to. A siren went off in the distance. It was showtime.

Djura from Bloodborne gets Isekai'd into Elden Ring AU
Djura experiences a "night" with demihumans and spends the following sunrise thinking the lands between is full of fools and those who do not understand their blessings.
A night enraged demihuman is nothing compared to even the weakest beast he kept under his protection. He had required a careful application of incense, fire, and strategically placed ladders to keep his beasts contained and protected and he and his ally whole and unrent by their claws.
In contrast within the lands between, the only worries with demihumans is their numbers. Both of which can be avoided by simply avoiding their territory or dodging.
He would only truly worry over a demihuman Queen and even then…why would you be foolish enough to barge into one of their caves or ruins during the night. Meanwhile, he would ensure the misbegottens to be left alone within Castle Morne. If he had to kill some soldiers and a warden, well...he had found a way to deal with hunters hadn't he.
It's not even truly dark during the latest hours, and the night ends here.
They fail to appreciate the reliability of the dawn.
They call this world broken, mad. The only madness he sees is in the fools who don't realize they live in paradise and choose to squander their endless bounty in hate and oppression. Djura is overcome with joy over seeing normal beasts. Not once humans. Black and white birds completely unfamiliar to him. Owls. They have animals his lands do not even recognize anymore without the help of an old book's illustration of Before the Night. Wolves are actually just wolves. They seem strangely adept at jumping seemingly from the air itself, but they may have been in the trees? Djura notes it as odd, but it isn't a bad thing. Their pupils are normal. Round. Their shape bares no resemblance to the collapsed inward eyes of those succumbing to the blood, when one becomes unmade. Humanity crumbling, as tooth and claw burst forth in a fit of fur and fury.
Djura finds decent company with the man called Boggart. They spend time together, as Djura uncovers the land. Boggart lays beside him in a lazy sprawl enjoying his full belly and rare good company. Djura unconsciously brushing off his shoulders, before realizing his old habit is unnecessary in an area such as Liurnia. The air here is not thick with ash and smoke. If anything he finds himself getting wetter than he'd prefer within The Lakes with his slickened wardrobe. He brushes off the thought much like the imaginary dust from his shoulders. Why mourn being given a blessing like these lands?
