Hello little self,

I've been waiting for a long time and it finally seems like we're crossing paths. It's a pleasure to meet you.

I want you to know that I'm extremely sorry for everything you had to go through.

I'm sorry that nobody was there to give you a hug and tell you that it's all going to be alright.

I'm sorry for all the times you were confused, making an effort to understand yourself in an environment which didn't provide you with the tools to do so.

I'm sorry for all the times you had to lock yourself in the bathroom and scream silently to release all the frustration you had inside.

I'm sorry that the world around you made you feel less of, wrong, out of place.

It was not your fault. It has never been your fault. I wish somebody would've told you that and guided you to get in touch with your emotions, provide you with the tools to deal with them.

You can now rest easy, sweet child. I'm here to help you.

I will be your protection when you feel naked and defenseless, scared and misunderstood.

You were just surviving in a cruel world and you do not have to anymore.

I am here to love you.
