Special Lieutenant Elliot Morrissey Loan Officer for the Muggle Liaison Office, acting as DCI Morrissey
Born and raised to a working class Muggle family in Manchester, Elliot is nothing short of determined. They grew up in a time particularly dangerous for Muggleborns -- at the height of the Second Wizarding War and the Muggle-Born Registration Commission -- and have felt a dedication to their bloodstatus ever since. Somewhat of a late bloomer to the Auror team, Elliot didn’t start in the department until their mid-twenties, but has worked their way up to precisely the place she believes she belongs.

Ester Flint, Minister’s Head Office Secretary Slytherin Alumni
As the eldest Flint, Ester had the pressure to perform well at school as early as she can remember. Luckily, it came naturally to her.
With her mother’s wit and her father’s cunning, Ester breezed through her years at Hogwarts, and paved her way towards a successful career. A small administration job in the Ministry was all it took, and the rest was history. Promotions came quickly and the trust built between her and the Armstrongs grew stronger throughout the years, resulting in Ester being tasked with organising some of the Minister’s most important engagements and eventually earning the position as the Head Office’s secretary.
Camilla, the Minister’s Senior Undersecretary and very own sister, trusts Ester implicitly with important information about the goings-on about the political building, and knows precisely when certain information might make its way to the Daily Prophet’s own senior editor. But the Prophet would never disclose their sources, of course.

The Restrainers of the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau, housed in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures at the Ministry of Magic, London.
[L-R; Oren McArty - Head Restrainer (42), Jillian Richards - Deputy Head Restrainer (52), Clio Keylock-Turner - Restrainer and Romanian Dragon Sanctuary Liaison (45), Xiong Bao - Restrainer and Chinese Dragon Sanctuary Liaison & Representative (35), Ingrid Lindström - Restrainer and Swedish Dragon Sanctuary Liaison & Representative (37), Damon Hawkins - Dragon Keeper (21), Ruben Dowson - Junior Restrainer (26), Estelle “Estie” Gray - Junior Restrainer (21)].
The Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau consists most basically of two departments; the Researchers and the Restrainers. Running the Restraint department is Oren McArty, alongside long-term colleague Jillian Richards. The team in the Bureau are among the best in the magical world, with representatives from each key Dragon Sanctuary showcasing their skills. The crew aren’t without their rivalries, but all of them are friendly in an effort to keep them on their toes and maintain a strive for improvement. Restraining can be a dangerous job, but when the team get sent on assignments, they know the best of the best has their back.

The Researchers of the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau, housed in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures at the Ministry of Magic, London.
[L-R; Maria Goldfinch (47), Romi Morrison (29), Cassidy Turner (25), Field Otterel (22)].
The Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau consists most basically of two departments; the Researchers and the Restrainers. Running the Research department is Maria Goldfinch, a Horned Serpent alumni from Ilvermorny and a staunch manager of her three colleagues. The researchers she employs all range in age, but share the same enthusiasm and skill when it comes to their interest in dragons. Work at the Research and Restraint Bureau isn’t always an in-house job, with the four Researchers often being sent to investigations on-location across the globe, so to say they’re not a tight-knit bunch would be misleading.

Name: Capt. Roland Sidewinder Age: 22 House: Slytherin Bloodstatus: Halfblood Call-sign: N/A Division: General Auror Branch Faceclaim: Darce Montgomery Headcanons:
Roland is not a member of Katie’s division but her colleague. He handles the General Auror Branch, he commands a battalion of patrol and beat Auror who do rounds in the Ministry, Diagon Alley, and Knockturn Alley. He has no specific specialty, he joined the Aurors as his family has always served in the Auror Corps since the 1700’s and he wasn’t going to end the line there. He has no love for the law, nor being a public servant, it’s just expected of him.
He is a laid-back man, as long as his Aurors meet the arrest quota he is happy. He does lazy loops around Diagon Alley or Knockturn by himself in the mornings and afternoons, rarely making arrests, but often flashes his badge to show off a bit of power. Roland doesn’t believe he’s above the law, but he feels entitled to whatever he wants simply because he’s the ‘good guy’. But he isn’t one to do any sort of extra work. As a result the Aurors have been getting lax and even a little corrupt. He knows there are lots of Aurors under his command on another bankroll than the Ministry but has no proof and so he rarely lifts a finger to stop it.
Roland doesn’t want anything more out of life than be a simple Auror Captain, making good pay and making sure folk feel at ease with the Ministry. He doesn’t want to run against the grain or make anyone unhappy, nor move up in the world. Due to this he often rolls over in favor of Katie’s more audacious ideas due to how closely her divisions rub shoulders with his own. Spineless is a word you could use for Roland, as well as narcissistic and entitled.
Name: Amara Bones Age: 19 House: Huffelpuff Bloodstatus: Halfblood Call-sign: N/A Division: General Auror Branch Faceclaim: Alycia Debnam-Carey Headcanons:
She has no special course yet, she is still working on getting noticed by a larger division or track. As such she is a normal patrol Auror around Diagon and Knockturn. She is an apt duelist, great in a fight and wants to help people. She has an unwavering sense of fairplay and justice, most (privately) think she is too soft for this sort of work but she loves it. She loves the chase, knowing she’s gotten someone dangerous off the street, saved a life, helped balance the good with the bad. It’s hard work but rewarding. She isn’t as soft as people think, she just believes in chances, and trying your best to help people in a tight corner, even if they’ve done something wrong. She gets in trouble with Auror officers for this, but everyone admits her heart is in the right place.
Amara is the sort you want in your corner, she’s the kind of person who will apologize while arresting you, and even listen to a sob story and let someone go with a warning. It makes her naïve and gullible to the world around her, and though she is an Auror she’s made friends with quite a few ‘criminals’ and though people may be on edge when they see an Auror turn the corner, when they see it’s Amara Bones everyone lets out a little happy sigh of relief. She won’t treat anyone bad, unless you give her a reason.
The Bones have always been involved in the DMLE and the Aurors, they have a long history of being the good guys, Hufflepuffs and Amara is no different. She grew up on the stories about the Second Wizarding War from her distant cousin Susan, and spent her youth pretending to fight Death Eaters. This all came to fruition when she became an Auror.

Name: Micah Ryland Age: 25 House: Hufflepuff Bloodstatus: Halfblood Call-sign: Bandage Division: Medical Branch Faceclaim: Donald Glover Headcanons:
The most recent member of Katie Thorne’s squad Micah Ryland actively doesn’t like his new superior officer. They attended Hogwarts in the same year, and he studied hard and long to do the difficult dual Healer-Auror track to joining the Auror’s Medical division. He has a slight resentment that Katie even got to join, he knows he track record and her grades, he finds her unfit for service in the Aurors, but the rest of the squad likes her, so he keeps his mouth shut to keep the peace.
Micah is a member of arguably the hardest track in the Auror Department, as a Healer he is responsible for injuries on all missions, helping save and rescue victims, and also being the defensive wall for the team. It’s a heavy responsibility but Micah rises to the occasion with sheer determination and will.
Micah has a younger sister, Freddy Ryland, who is his inspiration behind becoming a Healer after watching her go through medical issues his whole life. As such he is best with children, having a sister so much younger than him, and takes his role in saving lives seriously. He often does volunteer rounds at St. Mungo’s between missions and has become good friends with members of the staff there.
Name: Trisha Laghari Age: 19 House: Gryffindor Bloodstatus: Pureblood Call-sign: Blockbuster Division: Special Forces Branch Faceclaim: Naomi Scott Headcanons:
The youngest of Katie’s squad she is part of the Special Ops Branch and loves Katie’s ‘Get the Job Done or Die’ attitude. It mixes well with her own bombastic taste. The Special Ops Branch, better known as the Body Bag Branch, has the highest kill and be-killed count of any of the Divisions. They specialize in being total offensive walls and the backbone of any mission. Their ranks are filled with duelists and offensive magic users.
Trisha specializes in curses and hexes, is a bit of a hothead and after hours can be found letting off steam in the closest bar or brothel she can find. She is a regular at the Dueling Halls of the Aurors, she doesn’t look it though, with her looks and charm, though everyone is in for a treat when she gets to let loose.
Chances are if anyone remembers her from Hogwarts they remember the fights she would get into, how vicious of a Beater she was, and how much of a partier she is. Though a good Auror, and a great duelist, many think that she got into the Department because her family is pureblood and old old magic.
Name: Lt. Flora Kahina Age: 23 House: Hufflepuff Bloodstatus: Halfblood Call-sign: Changeling Division: Infiltration & Investigation Branch Faceclaim: Sofia Boutella Headcanons:
If anyone is a master of disguise it’s Flora Kahina, she flew Infiltration ranks as an Auror and has been happily doing the work of getting in good with all sorts of rough-and-tumble wix all over England. Often sent abroad on loan to other Magical Governments Flora has just returned from a 3-year stint in MACUSA. She would be a common face to any criminal if she wasn’t so good at changing it. Flora is a Metamorphmagus, one of the few and proud.
Flora can speak 5 languages and has an ear for accents. She is most likely to let folk off with a warning should they do any wrong doing in front of her, and often enjoys toying with criminals that piss her off. She is gregarious, bright, and happy to lend anyone a hand and loathes anyone that won’t help anyone in need. She is not fond of Roland Sidewinder as a result and will talk to shit to anyone who hears, including folk at the bars she often frequents.
Having recently moved to Diagon Alley after a long few years away she often roams the marketplace on her day off, she challenges folk to pick-up Quidditch games and plays ball with the kids in the street. She isn’t shy about being an Auror and showing off her badge, she’s proud and delighted to be a member of the Auror Department.
Name: Atlas Rath Age: 20 House: Slytherin Bloodstatus: Pureblood Call-sign: Bruiser Division: Strategy & Intelligence Branch Faceclaim: Cameron Monoghan Headcanons:
If Roland was the sort of Slytherin getting by on self-preservation, then Atlas was the sort filled with ambition. He chafes under regulation and conduct rules, be believes that the end will always justify the means. He doesn’t bunk heads with his new superior office Captain Thorne, he likes the way she also chafes under the regulation of the Auror Department.
Atlas admires the Auror Department for redeveloping in the wake of the Second Wizarding War, but he thinks they’ve grown weak as the criminal underground continues unchecked in the new century. It isn’t uncommon for Atlas to bring in criminals on his day off, using excessive force during capture and strategizing the best outcome to break someone’s spirit. He has a darker edge to him and wants to see the criminal underbelly of the Wizarding World crushed under his boot. Unbeknownst to him, Cmdr. Reese has her eye on him.
Atlas doesn’t do well with children, but teenagers like him, which he finds odd. He’s awkward when out of uniform, and though handsome rarely dates. He lives in Diagon Alley, in the apartment buildings over from his new squad mate Flora, and is often dragged with her around Diagon Alley during their off days. He likes plants, they don’t talk back to him, and can be found snipping cuttings.

Name: Cmdr. Seren Reese Age: 45 House: Ravenclaw Bloodstatus: Pureblood Call-sign: N/A Division: Interrogation & Security Branch Faceclaim: Kate Walsh Headcanons:
One does not want to be brought before Cmdr. Reese. The woman rules the Interrogation and Security Division with an iron fist, people are quick to scurry out of her way even in the Ministry corridors, she is a regular in the Dueling halls in the Auror Department. She’s been known to dismiss Aurors at the slightest drop of a hat, for any reason including disloyalty to the Department. She takes the law seriously and has an amazing track record for arrests and imprisonments. If she thinks you aren’t following the law, then she’ll have you dragged before her by sundown that day.
Many are saying she is neck in neck with Cmdr. Ashworth for becoming the Department Head once their current one retires. It’s no secret the pair do not get along, and their matches in the dueling halls are legendary. But they often work together, having gone to Hogwarts around the same time and are as such, cordial with each other professional. However, Cmdr. Reese is known to have a loose tongue after a few drinks during Ministry events, and it’s know how much she hates Lydia Ashworth having told several officials that. Lydia knows it too, and takes delight in it.
Cmdr. Reese is an animagus, her form is a wasp and she rose to prominence as an intelligence Auror before zooming up the ranks to head her own division. She has her own loyal Auror force everyone, as fondly as they can, call the Nest. When people hear the buzzing of a wasp they flinch instinctually, they know she might be just over their shoulder, and this makes her even more terrifying.
The Nest
Aurors loyal to Cmdr. Reese, her enforcers work in Interrogation & Security for the Aurors, but are handpicked by Reese to help her with her own cases and missions. If you have to deal with them, then you’re already in some serious hot water. They can also be found doing patrols around the unsavory parts of the Magical World and don’t care what sort of force they’re allowed to use, or what methods.
Name: Isaac Pierce Faceclaim: David Castañeda House: Gryffindor
The youngest, a hothead filled with righteous fury, he’s the muscle of the group all bluster and raw offensive magical strength. Rules are meant to be bent to get things done. Has an expunged criminal record that he doesn’t like to talk about, and a young daughter often seen with him getting treats in Diagon Alley. Cmdr. Reese personally recruited and trained him herself, he is in his late 20’s.
Name: Athena Howell Faceclaim: Keira Knightly House: Slytherin
Interrogation & torture expert, a pretty face with a deadly attitude. Was a child raised during the Second Wizarding War and thus grew up knowing she wanted to help put away dark wizards. She has no time for any sort of lawbreaker that may be a harbinger of doom. Recruited right out of Hogwarts, in her early/mid-30’s.
Name: Major Cadmus Finn Faceclaim: Keanu Reeves House: Ravenclaw
The eldest of the Nest, he actually went to Hogwarts and was housemates with Cmdr. Reese, they are close friends, he is her closest confidant. Once she is promoted to Head of the Auror Department he is the shoo-in for her place. He is the brains behind the missions, he’s the one that plans and carries out the raids. He will break laws to see dark wizards put into prison.

✸ one short day [in the emerald city] ✸
Who: Ozymandias Pryce
Where: Ministry of Magic, London
When: 22 May 2020
When Oz came to, he was in a dark and unfamiliar room, blinking drearily into the sinister greenish haze. His head was throbbing and his wrists felt sore—which upon further investigation might’ve had something to do with the fact that he was sitting upright in a stiff wooden chair with his hands restrained behind his back by faintly buzzing cuffs of magic, which heated up and zapped when he pulled on them too hard. “Ow, fuck me sideways…” he groaned, trying to remember how he’d gotten here.
The trouble must have started that morning, when Oz ran out of rolling tobacco.
Wait, no—that’s not quite right, is it? Let’s back up a bit…

Mirilla Weaver, Slytherin Alumni
The eldest daughter of the well-known robe-making family based in Knockturn Alley, Mirilla Weaver is a familiar face to many. From working in the shop at a young age, Miri learned the importance of poise, presence, and hard work, continuing to successfully graduate from Hogwarts with full marks and an air of confidence that rivaled her peers. She is the Minister’s most poised Auror, never far behind and always on hand to offer support should he or her team need it.

Marius Steele, Slytherin Alumni
Not much is known about Marius. It was a surprise to most that he flourished so well after school despite keeping to himself during his years at Hogwarts. The son of a single mother, some say his father was killed by werewolves, while others suggest his dad instead ran off to join a pack. Regardless, Marius has never been a man of many words and would rather his skills do the talking for him.

Ellis Fawley, Hufflepuff Alumi
Meeting his family’s tradition of being sorted into Hufflepuff, Ellis has always been described as The Muscle (though he’s more inclined to describe himself as a friendly bear); there are very few that would dare to tussle with him, and even fewer convinced they would come out of it without injury. Ellis is seen as an intimidating figure on the Minister’s team, and gets the job done comfortably.

Aselia Rowle, Ravenclaw Alumni
The Rowle family name has always carried weight within the wizarding community, but not necessarily for the right reasons. Despite their relatives having several roles within Voldemort’s Death Eaters, Aselia has never allowed their family’s reputation to stop them. Defying all expectations, they held a keen mind for spellwork, and pushed themselves to learn anything that was at their disposal. Acting as the Minister’s most foremost protector, there are very few situations that Rowle couldn’t manage to get him out of should the worst happen.
