one thing this fandom will need to address sooner or later is that liking a character does not equate to agreeing with their reasoning/ideals/motives.

i see a lot of people excusing themselves for even mentioning lysander (and roque back in the day), and like… you can like this character, its fine.

of course there are implications in AGREEING with lysander, or atalantia, or even people like diomedes and the rim in general, but that does not directly imply that liking that character makes YOU a fascist slaver too.

don’t get me wrong i >personally< DO NOT like lysander, but i like most of the au raa’s, including atlas, and all of the the au raths too. and nero. and aja. and the jackal (fuck the abomination tho).

so like, you do you boo, as long as you’re aware that those people are meant to be villains, thats fine — and, sometimes, i can even entertain the idea that lysander is just a poor little meow meow (that did change a lot after alex’s death but anyways)

but yeah, i don’t see why the rr fandom should be a place for finger pointing in general because, let me remind you all, except for a few people in this saga, like darrow’s mom, everyone else is a warlord, and a war criminal.

Profiles in Villainy 

Atlas

Built from a design stolen from the one that created the heroic Astro Boy,  the villain known as Atlas is a powerful and highly dangerous young robot. Possessing many of the same powers and abilities as Astro Boy, Atlas was initially created by a South American scientist who wanted to enact revenge for the death of his mother.  Atlas defied his initial programing and refused to be controlled. He quickly came to see himself as superior to humans, that they were weak and loathsome, deserving of his wrath.

Atlas’s hatred of humankind led to multiple altercations with Astro Boy.  The two rivals clashed on many instances with Astro Boy proving victorious.  At times Atlas has appeared to perish, but the resilient robot would always manage a means of returning.  

A number of different actors have provided the voice for Atlas, in both the original Japanese anime as well as the English language dubs.  These actors have included Akihiko Mitsueda, Michiru Hojo, Jay Rath and Greg Cipes.  Atlas first appeared in  episode 26 of the Tetsuwan Atomu anime, airing in 1963.

ZUKO BRAINROT (Aka head canons, will contain the gaang, maybe some zukka)

• sulked for a week when he realised that the gaang are a random (1)12 year old boy and two north pole people who only know how to use salt and at max a pinch of something mildly spicy. (I imagine there weren't many spices in the north pole, besides of course, salt. Lots of it.)

• had a minor phase where he would snag everything and anything of interest because he heard that dragons hoard and as said/mumbled in shame to his nanny's, elders, mom and literally anyone but his dad "... Cus dragons are cool, duh... "

•if he wasn't told not to he would've only talked about dragons to his mom but that obsession faded when his mom dissappeared. (it didn't he just got sad when talking about it)

•for a long time just completely ignored iroh's past as the dragon of the west because of his, now silent, love for dragons

•SOKKA, AANG, IROH AND TOPH HAVE A SWEET TOOTH WHILE HE HAS A "spice tooth"

•he's so warm. And also completely unaware of the fact

• sunbathes regularly but not for tan josta to bask in the sun like a happy little lizard.

•since he's half blind and deaf (it's canon because I said so) Sokka sneaks up on his blind/deaf side and get as close as possible, not letting out a breath till he notices and gets startled

•does hand stands regularly without context because of ty lee

•he and mai just kinda lay together on top of each other in a sullen silence. They love it.

•has a special appreciation for carving

•fixed azula bangs

•he has long nails like azula. I like to imagine that the notion of having long nails=rich transfers to the atla universe but not only on women

•he isn't as pale as he is in the show. I like to imagine him as pretty tan

•knows how to braid hair VERY well. (he used to be a part of the hair braiding trains azula, mei and ty Lee had (azula was alway the one who didn't have to braid hair obvi)

You entering a trace and emerging with an age list of (I presume) every FE that you’ve ever played. It happens. I get it. (I do have to point out that Saizo and Kaze are twins, so maybe we split the difference on their estimates? 25? 26?)

Mostly however I am going to be thinking about the 13-year-olds tier. There is such powerful energy there. I don’t know what’s going to happen if you put the three of them in the same room, but I know it will be happening, and there is no force on all the continents that could stop them if they put their mind to something.

Never had this kind of request, to be honest, but I will try, although I don't think it's a very accurate ranking (I know it's subjective, but idk, my feelings change depending on the cool stuff the cbaracters do):

I don't consider him someone important enough to be worried about, he's more like a spike in the neck, though he is useful to the Society. If he actually dueled and won against Alex, it would have made more sense.

P. S: I think he also foils post GS!Cassius - another reason why I believe Cassius cannot kill him - but because he is a foil (he did not duel Alexandar, it wasn't fair warfare either, he does want to protect the status quo, but not because he finds it honourable, he doesn't even acknowledge the bad stuff and he has no familial bonds with anyone), I don't see him getting forgiveness as Cassius did. Or, at the very least, Darrow won't be as indulgent as he was due to guilt.

Shazam Fury of the Gods

Normally I see movies on the day they are released but I honestly forget all about this movie until almost a week after it’s Australian release. Did the marketing team fall asleep at the wheel, or did I literally think this was meant for a later in the year release?

Fury of the Gods kicks off from it’s predecessor, with the world knowing of Shazam and the Shazamily; though the children are hidden behind their superhero identity.

When I had seen people trashing this movie, I thought they were lying. Thought maybe they were still complaining about superhero fatigue. No. They were genuinely serious on how bad this movie is.

 Fury of the Gods follows Billy and his family. Billy is in the midst of struggling with turning eighteen and the fear of what’s going to happen when he outgrows the foster system while his Shazam identity is conflicted on his superhero name and trying to keep his Shazamily together.

The villains of this story are Children of Atlas; Hespera (Helen Mirren), Kalypso (Lucy Lu) and Anthea (Rachel Zegler), three sisters who seem to spend the whole time bickering over their plans rathe than trying to outwit a bunch of childish superheros. The three sisters felt like they were underplayed in this movie, it felt like they were just plopped in the story and told to argue until we cut.

When the sisters do finally have a moment to agree on plans, it completely backfires and the chaos that was originally planned was filled with CGI weird looking demons who are afraid of unicorns with a thirst for skittles.

Man, this movie was a promo was Gatorade and skittles. Almost every scene had those two products randomly placed and it just didn’t make sense for them to be in any of this movie.

The biggest downfall of Fury of the Gods, excluding the product placements is that they had two of Hollywood’s biggest names in this movie; Lucy Lu and Helen Mirren, and they couldn’t use these two woman to their full advantage. They mostly just stood around and did near nothing when they were on screen.

Oh, also the whole movie having Billy’s hero ego try to bang Wonder Woman was really over used and to the near point of creepy.

When I wasn’t starting to fall asleep while watching this movie, I did attempt to follow along and when I did, I couldn’t help but compare it to other movies I’ve seen such as Avengers (2012), Lucifer (tv series), Hobbit; the Desolation of Smaug. I struggled to see Shazam, I struggled to see DC. I could honestly see almost every other franchise that wasn’t DC owned in this movie.

With the two post credit scenes, no doubt we’ll get a third movie and I so do pray that the third movie is much better than this sequel.

fiiiinally freeing up some time to work on more of my muse intros—phew! hey, everyone—it's just me, ryan (h/h, 25+) back with an intro for another favorite of mine: avi gellar-cho! he's a muse i've picked up, dusted off, and reworked for this space, and i'm actually really stoked to dive into him. in my opinion, he's really cool. he's a voice actor and now podcast host whose based in korea solely because of his husband—it's complicated, but he's really happy!—and though it's taking him some getting used to, he's stoked to learn more about his husband's culture/home!

1.

avi gellar was born and raised in new york city. his parents operate a kosher bakery that's well-loved in their neck of the woods, and he grew up learning all of the family recipes. while it was never exactly a passion of his, he understood why his mom and pop loved to bake so much. he can taste the love in everything they prepare, and although he's over thirty now, he still feels their love, and they definitely still view him as their blue-eyed baby boy.

as a kid, he learned that he did extremely good impressions of his favorite cartoon characters, a skill that he spent far too much time honing, but it kept him out of trouble, so his parents didn't think much of it. that, and he often made them laugh with his impersonations, so they weren't complaining much either. they thought he was quite the character, and so did his peers at school, who revered him as something of a class clown. he dodged bullying by making everyone laugh instead.

it was a fluke chance, but when his dad saw a listing for an open call looking for voice talent for a new series to be launched on a kid's tv network, he told avi about it and avi auditioned, and out of hundred of others, he landed the leading role in the show—marking the start of his career. (side-note: canonically, i'm claiming that he was the og voice actor for aang of atla. why? because i can. 😆)

he's done tons of voice work over the years, and now, he hosts a podcast about voice work; one where he often has other voice actors from all over the world as guests to talk about their shared craft. as of now, he's living in south korea with his husband, who he met along the way after a previous engagement of his failed dramatically. it's daunting to be in a new place, especially one that's more socially conservative than new york, but he's excited to learn more.

avi gellar is funny. that's something that everyone who meets him can say about him. even those who hate him can't deny that his quick wit and comedic timing aren't near-flawless. some say he could've genuinely gone into a career in comedy, but he refrained from that. he never wanted to be a comedian, and he doesn't like being in the spotlight that much. hiding behind animated characters is more his speed.

he's not only funny, but he's also a rock. he's solid. he works hard. he's someone who works within the realm of fantasy lands and animation, but in real life, he's got a practical edge about him that prevents his head from floating into the clouds too often. since he's been involved in the entertainment industry since childhood, he's got great business sense—typical capricorn sun—and makes strategic financial decisions. it's why his fortune from his youth is still supporting him. he's used it wisely.

avi is a work-horse. his willingness to work is immense, and he'll do all he can to ensure that he and his family are supported. he's not the type to sit idly by and hope other people make change in the world. no, he's someone who gets up and gets shit done. he can be a bit hard on those who don't choose to get up and do the work, but it's only because he genuinely doesn't understand that mindset.

want dad advice? avi's your man. he's still young, but there's a way about him that makes him feel genuinely wise beyond his years. that, and he's not afraid to be a critic; to be more stern with people he thinks can use a bit of a wake-up call. his paternal instincts are rather strong, to be honest, and so is his propensity toward using dad jokes.

The most recent member of Katie Thorne’s squad Micah Ryland actively doesn’t like his new superior officer. They attended Hogwarts in the same year, and he studied hard and long to do the difficult dual Healer-Auror track to joining the Auror’s Medical division. He has a slight resentment that Katie even got to join, he knows he track record and her grades, he finds her unfit for service in the Aurors, but the rest of the squad likes her, so he keeps his mouth shut to keep the peace.

Micah is a member of arguably the hardest track in the Auror Department, as a Healer he is responsible for injuries on all missions, helping save and rescue victims, and also being the defensive wall for the team. It’s a heavy responsibility but Micah rises to the occasion with sheer determination and will.

Micah has a younger sister, Freddy Ryland, who is his inspiration behind becoming a Healer after watching her go through medical issues his whole life. As such he is best with children, having a sister so much younger than him, and takes his role in saving lives seriously. He often does volunteer rounds at St. Mungo’s between missions and has become good friends with members of the staff there.

The youngest of Katie’s squad she is part of the Special Ops Branch and loves Katie’s ‘Get the Job Done or Die’ attitude. It mixes well with her own bombastic taste. The Special Ops Branch, better known as the Body Bag Branch, has the highest kill and be-killed count of any of the Divisions. They specialize in being total offensive walls and the backbone of any mission. Their ranks are filled with duelists and offensive magic users.

Trisha specializes in curses and hexes, is a bit of a hothead and after hours can be found letting off steam in the closest bar or brothel she can find. Often sent abroad on loan to other Magical Governments Flora has just returned from a 3-year stint in MACUSA. She would be a common face to any criminal if she wasn’t so good at changing it. Flora is a Metamorphmagus, one of the few and proud.

Flora can speak 5 languages and has an ear for accents. She is most likely to let folk off with a warning should they do any wrong doing in front of her, and often enjoys toying with criminals that piss her off. She is gregarious, bright, and happy to lend anyone a hand and loathes anyone that won’t help anyone in need. She is not fond of Roland Sidewinder as a result and will talk to shit to anyone who hears, including folk at the bars she often frequents.

Having recently moved to Diagon Alley after a long few years away she often roams the marketplace on her day off, she challenges folk to pick-up Quidditch games and plays ball with the kids in the street. Atlas admires the Auror Department for redeveloping in the wake of the Second Wizarding War, but he thinks they’ve grown weak as the criminal underground continues unchecked in the new century. It isn’t uncommon for Atlas to bring in criminals on his day off, using excessive force during capture and strategizing the best outcome to break someone’s spirit. He has a darker edge to him and wants to see the criminal underbelly of the Wizarding World crushed under his boot. Unbeknownst to him, Cmdr. Reese has her eye on him.

Atlas doesn’t do well with children, but teenagers like him, which he finds odd. He’s awkward when out of uniform, and though handsome rarely dates. He lives in Diagon Alley, in the apartment buildings over from his new squad mate Flora, and is often dragged with her around Diagon Alley during their off days. He likes plants, they don’t talk back to him, and can be found snipping cuttings.

We have some huge news! The complete English-dubbed version of Astro Boy 1980 episode 1 has resurfaced, and you can watch it on Youtube! It’s also available on the Internet Archive.

The dub was originally recorded at the University of Wisconsin in 1980. The crew was very small, and had very few voice actors - most notably are Patty Whitely as Astro/Livian/Ms. Ford, Del Lewis as Dr. Boynton, and 17-year-old Jay Rath as Atlas/Guiss/Skunk. The crew eventually grew over time as they recorded the whole series thru 1981. For a long time, the only known surviving copy of the complete dub was on a master tape by one of the university sound engineers. The North American distributors edited the first two episodes together for reasons that are still unknown.

⦁ Night started to play Quidditch in their second year as a Chaser. While they wasnt the best chaser, Night was enough to help Slytherin to win the Cup. They meet Gryfindor Chaser-Vixen during practise and whole year, they werent be able to be better chaser than her. The rivalry between her and Night made the dark haired kid realize maybe being chaser wasnt really something for them. in third year, thanks to McNully, they started to play as a beater, and find theirself being more succesfull than ever. They were angry about Merula, and just wanted hurt something. So they went for dummies in Training Ground. Night wasnt looking actually where they was hitting, there was just the feeling of fullness . A sharp scream bring them to reality. İt was the first time they hurt someone out of anger, and unfortunatelly wasnt the last.

Madam Hoach: She is strong and powerfull woman and her tough behavior makes Night adore her. And one quick note, Night is really afraid of making her mad. During their school life, Night interacted with her so often thanks to their Quidditch love.

McGonnagal: Even if she is not Night's head of house, Night find her much more easier to talk than other proffesors. They feel deeply guilty about the times they had to lie to her. McGonnagal and Talbott's close relationship makes Night feel even more warm about her.

Flitwick: He is someone who Night doesnt have any problem to talk. They enjoy his classes, and little chats they share. Night often share the teas their granpa send them from Turkey, and Flitwick always appreciate.

Father: Matthew Rhea

Second son of Alexander and Alycia Rhea. Known for his dicipline he got from his father, and his talent in Legilimency. İn Rhea family, the ones worth is same as their power in this magical ability. Being better than his older brother, made Matthew the golden child of family. And as you can imagine it seperated the brothers. Matthew was loyal follower of Dark Lord, a feared Death Eater. He believed wizarding world will be better with Voldemort, and never regretted for following him. Even if it cost his life.

He was never the father figure to Night. They doesnt remember him smiling to them, even for once. On Night's fifth birthday, Matthew decided to send them to Turkey, to Seline's family. For three years, Night stayed away from their home, with their grandfather and only comes back in summers when Yakup is back from Hogwarts. İn 1981 (When Night was eight years old) Matthew died in war, and Seline let Night to come back.

Mother: Seline Rhea

Youngest in five sibling, fourth daughter of İbrahim and Saadet Yavuz. Seline lost her mother when she was two, so she has no memory of Saadet. İbrahim never treat any of his child differently and loved them all same, but Seline never been close to him, or most of her siblings. Even when she was a child, she was quiet, and keeping her distance from everyone. Books were her best and only friends. So when Seline meet with Matthew, leaving her home and country wasnt actually hard decision to made. Seline loved Matthew with her whole heart. He wasnt trying to change her, and that was what she was asking for, for her whole life. Young woman knows, that he was interested in her being Legilimens, but she didnt care. If she was powerfull enough for him to want her as his wife, she thinks its something she should be proud of.

She fit perfectly in Rhea's. Her new house was nothing like Yavuz's warm and loud house, just like how she is also nothing like. Seline couldnt be more proud, when she and Matthew discovered Jacob is also Legilimens. She was excited for her second child too, but when she hold her newborn, she saw the look on Matthew eyes. The disapointment. He didnt like his child to have bright blue hair. At first, Seline didnt think it will be problem, its only color of hair after all. But real problem was, Night being nothing like a Rhea. They were energetic, loud child. Running in house, climbing on whatever they finds, jumping on every water pot they saw. Seline knows they were exactly like her own siblings, nieces. Night wasnt nothing like Jacob (Seline's Turkish accent turned his name into Yakup).

On the fifth birthday that Night turned five, she didnt even say anything when Matthew told her to send Night to Turkey, next to her father.

After Matthew died, Yakup was her everything. And Night was.. Just someone from her past, her own family, something she wanted to leave her behind but couldnt. Unfortunatelly, not so long after Matthew death, Yakup get expelled from Hogwarts and went missing. To find him, Seline did something she thought she wont be ever doing it. She begged Matthew's brother Jonathan for help. And her answer was only a smile. A cold smile, belongs to someone who is happy to have all the control on family now

Night's three year, when they were alone with their mother was, rough. Everyday was about Yakup, about finding him. To have Seline's attention, Night do everything they can do to act like Yakup, look like Yakup. İt was impossible for them, but in their mind it was their only goal. Being someone their mother will love.

The first time Seline looked lovingly at them, was when Night was about to get in Hogwarts Express. When they promised her to find Yakup.

Sibling: Jacob (Yakup) Rhea

Yakup and Night werent able to spend much time together, when they were child. Thanks to their ten year difference between their ages, they only saw each other in summers. İn their cold house, Yakup was the only one who loved Night deeply, other than their nany Goni. He was well aware of how his Pip wasnt like his other cousins, other Rhea's, and  that was enough reason for him to love them. Their smile and loud excited voice was the thing warms the house in Yakup's eyes. 

When he get expelled, he knows all of his burdens became Night's. He regretted deeply, but there was nothing he can do from a portrait. He waited for his "sister" to rescue him, waited so patiently and dreamed the day they reunited. But when Night finally came, it wasnt like how he imagined. 

They both wanted to have back the ones they remember from seven years ago. But the truth is, both were so different now, and they doesnt want to admit it. Their old beautiful relationship was gone now, and wont be same for so long. After Hogwarts, they fight a lot. Argued a lot, couldnt agree on same things. Until Night took the mission that will change their life forever.

When Night first runned away, right after they killed an auror in front of him, Yakup lived the hardest weeks in his life. He saw in their eyes himself, how he was when he first get expelled. He already knew Night changed so much, when Rowan died. And couldnt help but feel like all of it was his fault. Now his Pip was so lost inside, so lost that couldnt able to see whats wrong or right. So he searched for Night with everything he has. 

Of course he didnt know it was all part of their plan. Thankfully soon enough, Night came back to him to explain everything. That they will be a spy in Death Eaters, and needs him to be their Secret Keeper. But also they needed him to promise. Promise to see the mission more important than their life. After war, their relationship was better than ever, and they finally have the sibling they both missed so much.

Grandfather (Mother's Dad): İbrahim Yavuz

Lovely Turkish old man who looked after his five children alone, after his wife died. He loved all of his kids all same, but his kids are all different. Four daughter and one son, Seline was the youngest one, and the coldest one to İbrahim.

One day when Night and their nany Goni showed up on his door, he was more suprised than he was happy. Living with tiny energetic child  who cant understand his own language for three years was actually hard for İbrahim. But thanks to Goni who can talk to both languages, Night started to understand and talk Turkish in short time. Well enough to have an accent actually. With their cousins, aunts and uncle here, Night actually had a big and  lovely home there. Their name was hard to pronounce in Turkish, so İbrahim gave them another name. He never liked Night's names meaning, and choose the name that means entirelly opposite of 'Night'. "Nur". It means " The light of the God" and İbrahim thinks it fits his grandchildren more.

As much as Night loved the Yavuz household and Turkey, they missed their mother, brother,home. Ibrahim wasnt sure if Seline would take Night back to England, if Matthew didnt died. He was hoping Seline would come back now, with her son. But Seline refused, and instead of coming back to Turkey, she took Night back.

Night wrote letters to him so often, and in every change they visit Turkey. İbrahim was parent to them, more than their own family and they couldnt be more grateful to have him as grandfather.

Uncle: Jonathan Rhea

First son of Alexander and Alycia Rhea. He is only two years older than Matthew. He married with Elyssa Black, and had two child. Cora Rhea, a Legilimens and  two years older than Jacob; and Cordell Rhea in same age with Night. İn 1981, Jonathan lost his daughter and his wife.

Losing half of his own family shaked him deeply, but on the other hand, now Matthew is also gone,and it was good enough to make him forget about his pain. All the responsibilty of Rhea's is now Jonathan's. He is the only one who is head of family now. Or at least, its what he think.

Little he know Seline will be the biggest impediment to him. She wont let him to take the big house (Where Matthew and her staying with their childs, because Matthew was the head of family) She refused him, and told him Yakup will be the one who will take Matthew's place. She knows how Jonathan hate her and Yakup. He wouldnt let Seline stay in family or even England. So she fight with Jonathan with all her power. Until Yakup disappears.

After that, Seline lost her hopes, she even begged him to help her find her son.She promised to leave England if he helps. But Jonathan didnt care, he took everything he wanted after all. The house, being the important one. He was no longer the one who is forgotten in his little brothers shadow. He is the one who is in control now. He even took Night from Seline. Night lived in his house from their fourth year to seventh year.

When Night started Hogwarts, Jonathan told his son to stop them. From finding Yakup. Because he cant risk his nephew to come back, and took everything he earned.  Unfortunatelly, his fears will come true and Yakup will come back. Jonathan will hate him with all his being and this hate will be dangerous when Voldemort returns.

Jonathan will be the one, who offer Night a place in Death Eaters when Night run away from their first crime. He will say he is proud of them for choosing the right way and realizing Yakup is the traitor one, not him. And will say Matthew would be also proud of them.

During war time, Jonathan will be the biggest enemy of Night, even if he wont know about it.

Love Interest: 

Talight- Talbott Winger 

Night and him meet in third year thanks to Penny. Night didnt even know his name,and Talbott was staying away from the cursed vault kid to avoid trouble. It actually took them long time to be close friends. But once they became friends, they found theirselves a way to escape from other. At first, they see each other as a someone who can understand other ones feelings. Talbott learned Night isnt always as happy as they seems or they isnt just a selfish troublemaker. And Night learned Talbott isnt someone who has stone cold heart and doesnt care about others. They so often fly together in night, sit in silent in owlery, read their own books in libary,and sometimes running/flying around just for fun. Talbott learned to like some harmless chaos, and Night learned to be not afraid of silence. İn fourth year, Night realized they have deeper feelings for him, but couldnt risk to lose his friendship. They were happy enough to have him as friend. But Tulip reading their secret notebook out loud didnt help them to hide their feelings. The notebook was written in Turkish so no one could understand, but Night completely forget about how Tulip actually knows Turkish. Even if it happened out of Night's control, it didnt end like how Night feared. 

As much as they both loved each other, being in relationship is something these two doesnt know well. İn fifth year, they dealed with some tiny (!) jealousy. Night meets with Jae, and being in detention whole year help them become a close friend in short time. Being busy with Rakepick and her tasks, Night was quiet busy and Jae was the only one they can see without needing help. (Remember how Rowan said they were only comes to their friend to get help?) Our little bird didnt like to feel in this way. But this feeling wasnt just keeping "him" awake in nights. It was eating Night from inside too. They were aware of how they couldnt see Talbott so often, and actually missing  their piecefull times together. They couldnt help but notice how he got close with Badeea. Not that they thinks Talbott shouldnt have friends. Actually they were happy about how these two Ravenclaw sharing their own worlds to each other. Night just, felt unsure if they are good enough for Talbott, in a way Badeea is more than enough. Night and Badeea were so different, and Night  couldnt help but compare theirself with her. Our couple didnt actually broke up, but i can say they had some walls between their hearts now, the ones they both didnt wanted but thought other one needs it. They goes to Summer Festival, with different people. Wanna guess who?? Of course Badeea and Jae. They both watch each other laugh with someone else. But in the end of the year, when Night and others came back from Buried Vault, Talbott was the one who hold them while they were crying.

Next two year, they both supported each other. (Yes im just skipping all the things because, there is things im excited to write and draw and dont wanna spoil it here). But before graduation, Night wanted to break up. To focus on theirselves. Night knows how Talbott worked hard to be auror, and they doesnt want him to worry about them while having so many things to worry about already. Talbott didnt like the idea of course, refused at first. He blamed them, get angry, didnt talked to them for days. But then, he understood why Night saying these. To accept it, he wanted them to promise him something. That they will come back to him. No matter as what, as a lover, as a friend, as a someone who still have warmt in their heart for him.

Well, in a way, Night keep their promise. (Will be continued in Future AU)

Nelix- Felix Rosier 

İn Hogwarts, their relationship was mostly about Felix trying to keep Night out of trouble and fail every time. He became Dragonologist when he graduated, and Night send him maybe too many letters to ask about life in Romania. (Charlie also aprecciated his letters too, as you can imagine.) Being Dragonologist was Night's dream job, even if they doesnt think they will be doing it in future. So after graduation, just to see Charlie, dragons and Romania (definitelly not to see Felix, please) they travelled there a lot.

Seeing each other again, with other Death Eaters was not what they both hoped. Night knew Felix would be there. But for him, seeing Night there was shocking. He was disappointed, but thought about maybe Night was forced by their family, just like him. (Will be continued in Future AU)

After all the rough time they managed to survive, they both needed to heal from what they saw, what they did. And being far away from England was just what they needed.

But dont worry, they can be very secretive.) Night’s face always wears their emotions, that means you can see a lot of weird and funny expressions.

Chocolate again with a face that shows you how their brain is burned. Snape’s favorite punishment for Night? Honeydukes Ban. Night will probably just curl up on grass in Training Grounds and wait for the day pass. Also a cup of tea could make Night very happy too. Thanks to their grandpa, they know how to make tea in every way, so they would be so happy if you join them for tea.

⦁ Because of that bright attitude of them, Night wasnt taken seriously at first. When some older Slytherins talked about Jacob in common room, everyone in room learned about how Night doesnt hold back when they are angry. İn years, they did a lot of things out of anger that they will regret later.

⦁ Night is a person who cant tell easily their negative feeling.When they got sad, they got quiet. Mostly Night just hide their sadness behind their smile and hope that it will be gone.

Kendrick Lives AU

This has been an AU that has been floating around of my head. To create a universe of where Papa Kendrick lives. Much to the approval of @that-scouse-wizard

Of course, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t include some level of angst tossed in there.

This AU is pretty much the same for the most part save a few things:

- Kendrick never gets sick, obviously. In the main storyline, he contracts a heart virus and dies on his birthday. This isn’t the case, so he’s perfectly healthy.

- Kendrick and Sade get divorced because Kendrick was able to “see” (Kendrick has Seer abilities but he can’t control them. His mother, Mercy, was a Seer. And so is Judith, but she has yet to tap into it) her with another man and a little boy that look mostly like her.

- However, Judith did have one last “spat” with her mother during the winter after her 9th birthday. This was before Kendrick filed for divorce against her. This resulted in a permanent burn scar on the left side of her face. Similarly to Zuko from ATLA.

- Kendrick was the one who treated her burn, not trusting any of his co-workers anywhere near her due to her skittish nature around adults with authority.

- Kendrick is fiercely protective of his daughter, even more so after his ex-wife scarred her. He still encourages her to try to make friends with other kids but wouldn’t be afraid to put someone, whether it be child or adult, in their place if they even make any cruel remarks about her scar.

- Because of her scar, Judith becomes more reclusive. She sticks close to her dad or just stays inside, despite her Papa’s encouragements. Her personality alters slightly: she has an odd balance of painfully shy and being cold/aloof. It’s harder for her to trust people because the person who she suppose to be close to scarred her.

- Kendrick is a bit discouraged by his daughter’s behavior but doesn’t stop showing her love and telling her how beautiful she is.

- She really didn’t want to go to Hogwarts because of her brother’s disappearance and her appearance. Kendrick did his best to cheer her up by telling her stories of when he went to Hogwarts, which did help.

- Kendrick being present meaning they have ample amount of time to train together. With the guidance of her father, Judith is deadly force by the time she goes to Hogwarts. She even learns the basics of being a Beater, a position she plans on getting when she’s a second year

- Judith actually hides her face using her locs, as a strange “style” she has her locs cover her left eye (kind of like Ismelda) as a bang and the rest being tied back as a way to secure it

- Kendrick made Judith’s insecurity known to the adults at the school prior to and to alert him of any bullying to her.

- Judith’s “secret” didn’t remain a secret for long when a group of older Slytherins and Gryffindors openly bullied her in the Courtyard. One of them pulled her ponytail loose causing her hair to fall free, revealing her face. A lot of people saw and the group was laughing at her. Out of frustration, embarrassment, sadness, and over all anger, Judith jumped the person who caused the situation to happen. Safe to say, she was later in the Headmaster’s office with the student, who was sporting quick a few injuries. Dumbledore didn’t hold anything against Judith but Slytherin definitely lost a good amount of House Points.

- Kendrick wasn’t pleased to hear such news but he was happy that Judith didn’t get in trouble for defending herself.

- Kendrick makes sure to send a gift to her on her birthday since her birthday is early on during the school year.

- Kendrick was there when Judith went for tryouts, without his daughter’s knowledge, to watch her performance. He did find her captain, Orion, to be an intriguing wizard. When Judith got a position, he was the first to congratulate her.

- Kendrick actually visited quite a few of her House games, with special permission from Dumbledore. Anybody who knows about Ravenclaw Quidditch players would recognize the Ravenclaw alumni. A fanboy of his, turned out to be one Andre Egwu. Another admirer is a one Slytherin Beater, Erika Rath.

- Kendrick approved his daughter’s performance, no matter if she wins or loses. He always provides her with pointers on how to improve and what to look out for.

- Kendrick does find Ethan Parkin a bit distasteful, especially after he mentioned how his daughter seemed a bit soft for a Beater.

- In regards to the Curse Vaults, Kendrick is a bit wary about Judith trying to find them. But when he saw the spark in her eyes at the mention of finding Jamal, he allowed her to do so.

- Kendrick actually has met Nuri. Martin, who didn’t approve of Sade’s handling of her previous marriage, actually wanted to be on good terms with Kendrick. Nuri was intentionally scared of him but warmed up to him rather quickly. Sometimes Nuri would call him “Papa Kendrick” (Martin doesn’t mind this). Kendrick enjoys Nuri’s presence, seeing a similar bright spirit that lives in his baby girl in the young boy.

Alright that’s a lot, so this could be continued later on.

“Apollonius au Valii-Rath, I presume?”

“Indubitably. So the Mind’s Eye is real after all. Atalantia swore it was a myth. But to see it...ah, to see it.”

“Octavia refused to teach her,” I say. “Is that what you desire? My grandmother’s secrets?”

“Beggar the whole bounty for this chief prize.”

“The Eye is not a razor to be wielded by any man,” I say, taking a seat on the ground in exhaustion.

“I am not just any man. Would any man have such demons as I? Ajax, Atalantia, Atlas...”

“They were responsible for your stay in Deepgrave, I gather. But what of the source of all this? What of Darrow?”

“A kinship bonds all men betrayed, for they alone know the deepest breaking of the soul. In time, he must fall so I might rise. But what savvy butcher would loosen the vise that keeps his demons in thrall before their comeuppance comes due?”

“Then the answer is no.”

“No?” His laugh is beautiful and presumptuous.

“Atalantia and Atlas are not my enemies.”

“But Ajax is...after his betrayal?” How long has he followed me? I do not answer him. He chuckles to himself. “One is the father, the other the lover. They will choose Ajax. Without my aid, you will die here, seed of Lune. Without my aid, you will die anywhere.”

“I have no quarrel with you, Apollonius, but will not be bridled with a debt to you either.”

“Yet you begged me to aid you.”

“That was the boy inside. He is dead.”

“That was five minutes ago!”

“Are you the same you were then? Is Seneca?”

(Dark Age 333-334)

Unconventional opinion it may be but to me, this is one of the funniest scenes in Dark Age. Imagining this from Apple’s perspective has me in stitches. He stalks this little twerp for days, refuses to help him against Seneca and his crew, proposes an alliance and gets rejected because this kid who begged for his aid five minutes ago claims the “boy inside” is now dead*. I’m offended on Apple’s behalf.

The fight scene preceding this conversation is pretty badass, I won’t lie. One of the few Lysander scenes I genuinely enjoy beyond “this is written very well.” But this final conversation in this chapter just makes the whole situation so surreal and absurd. I love it.

*Have a bonus quote from Iron Gold to enhance the absurdity:
