Dannato has been a labor of love for Darling and I. From the start we both wanted to create a place where we could create and write with a group of people who had the same goal as us; to have fun. However, in the process of creating we have hit one too many hiccups due to mistakes on our part and due to massive misunderstandings and stressors that we won’t go into too much detail about. At the end of the day, roleplays are supposed to be fun for everyone. To include admins and when a group becomes too stressful it runs the risk of ruining motivation, muse and just the group in general. 

So I say this to say that while we have loved writing with every member here; and everyone who contributed to make this a possibility it has ultimately become a source of stress instead of fun. It was a learning experience, one which we will never forget. However, it has come time to close this chapter of our admin ventures. We will ask that no part of our plot or character biographies be used or recreated. Everything about Dannato was original to admin Darling, Nyx and I’s effort with help from a previous member who took her time to ghost write for us. So we ask that you respect the work of ours and let it stay here. 

Now, all not is lost as Darling and I still have love to give and creativity to share. We fully intend to take the important admin lessons from Dannato and apply them to a future group that will include both circus elements as well as supernatural themes. We will be taking our time cultivating this group, ensuring it is exactly what we want it to be. Once it’s ready if you’re interested in something of the sort look out for us in the tags and if you like what you see feel free to send us an application. We wish you all well with your roleplay adventures and can not wait to start on this new adventure.

Due to basic human mistake and lack of research on our part, we agreed to change Elias’ faceclaim from Keanu Reeves to Joe Manganiello. It’s been brought to our attention that this could be seen as whitewashing. We apologise for any this has upset or offended, it was never our intention and we as admins instead chose to go with what felt right for the character and the muse the writer brought to us. We will be more mindful in the future about skeletons with poc faceclaim suggestions, and are working on a character who better fits Keanus face and heritage.

Definitely! I’m considering adding a Tuesday acceptance, unfortunately this week and next are busy for me so it may not happen until after that, but it’s definitely something we discussed going forward!Only one more day to wait thought!

Good morning all,

After long talks, both admins have decided to make a few changes within the group that will hopefully improve things. We will be switching gears toward basic skeletons and OCs only, writing the bios has become too much and isn’t sustainable so that we as admins are able to enjoy the group. WHAT THIS MEANS: Any character bio already written and open will stay that way, we won’t be removing canon bios from the page. Key players in the future MAY have a written bio due to their story being a little more set in stone and important, but most others will not. We will be releasing a series of skeletons after batch one is completed and open. These will include the label, face claim suggestions and a brief overview of the character and what they do within the Dannato world. This will mean that writers have more freedom with characters to write their story and bio in a way that suits them and gives the best muse, one thing we are most excited for and is most important to us is that writers have freedom to be creative. We hope that this doesn’t discourage anyone from joining Dannato, and that you will all enjoy our upcoming event. This change has given both admins much needed muse back and excitement for things to come, we can’t wait for you all to see some of the amazing things we have lined up.

Do you have a set time or date for acceptances?

Fridays somewhere between 7pm and midnight GMT. We haven’t set exact because it depends on me being alright to get on but Fridays will be acceptance day!

I’ve been reading up on your fabulous bios and checking out the members writing (which is amazing! Seriously) and I noticed there’s a Seran Brenek, Capo for the damned. I couldn’t find his bio anywhere but remembered Elias was Capo for the damned to? Is there a mix up? (:

Seran is an OC of a member, some of those bios haven’t been posted yet due to Rey being a bit busy to do the graphics for them. There’s a couple of Capos, as the organisation is quite large!

Is your 'following' list updated? There are some accounts that haven't posted in a few weeks

It is pretty close, we haven’t done activity check as a lot of our members and us as admins ourselves are a little busy. I will check it later

So I was looking at the character dictionary and some of the characters tags don’t lead to their bio even though I remember reading them (liena for example, but there are possibly more). Is there any chance you could fix that for easier access to the bios? Thanks!

Oh! I will definitely check on that when I get online tomorrow, the tag should be just their first name, but I’ll fix the directory ASAP.
