not really. i just have some magic beans. i don't really want them, so i give them to people. enjoy your beans.
“... oh. Er... thanks, then,” Berimont replied, still befuddled. He didn’t have a use for them, but... maybe he could resell them? Eh, whatever worked. As long as he didn’t try and eat them.

*slowly places some magic beans on Berimont's counter*
Berimont blinked at the beans. “... uh... thhhanks...?” he said uncertainly. What was he to do with beans? “Did you bring these to trade, or...?”

*dim didn't even really react when Berimont drop his disguise in fact he still had his polite smile* Dimentio: oh! good disguise! certainly had me fooled! so your Mara's brother? my i've certainly heard many good things about you! it's great to know the there true!
Berimont breathed a sigh of relief when dimentio kept talking as normal. Ok, cool. So he didn’t have to skip town now. Nice to know. When the anon named his sister, he simply nodded. “Yeah, that’s me... eheheh...” He blushed a bit at the continued niceties. “A-aw geez, thank you,” he mumbled, waving a hand. “Glad to hear it was good things and not bad ones, eheheh...”
He paused a moment. Hmm. Dimentio had seen Mara... was she close? Was she alright? He looked to dim uncertainly, wringing his hands. “H-hey, um, was Mara ok...? When you talked to her...?” He asked hesitantly. “I-I haven’t heard from her in a-awhile...”

Dimentio: oh my! then my mistake! please forgive me Berimont! my! guess my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be! just for some reason i was reminded of a purple haired demon girl i met a while ago! she was rough around the edges but she was... nice! in her own way! and even quit respectful! perhaps that what brought up the memory? *dim placed his hand on his head he couldn't pin what made him think there'd be a connection between the two and his face was riddled with confusion*
Berimont didn’t have an answer for dimentio this time. Just a squeak. He’d described Mara to a T. When had Dimentio run into her? Had she sent him this way??? Oh Rosea, he was frozen. The family resemblance must’ve been strong enough for anyone to see. No matter what disguise he had on, he knew he’d get found out.
Seems today’s just... the day.
Gulping shakily, Berimont’s gaze dropped to the floor. A quick glance from side to side told him nobody else was in the shop. It was just dimentio. Dimentio, who’d admitted to meeting and getting along with his sister. It was... safe, then. Safe to let the secret slip. Besides. It was an anon, he thought. What harm could it cause?
“... w... well...you, uh... you have met my sister, then...” He carefully tipped up his hat, the enchantment shattering. Blue horns and floppy ears were in full view. “... surprise... eheheh...”

*Dim couldn't but smile Berimont’s loss of composure* Dimentio: oh its nothing really! why let something that can create so much good in another's hands collect dust in mine? *dim said as he fitting the new strap on his bag* just knowing its in good hands is enough for me! *dim paused as he just now took a good look at Berimont* huh say odd question Berimont but do you have a sibling? your energy feels familiar?
Berimont sighed softly. “Alright, i-if you insist... Thanks for coming by,” he replied. He still felt a bit off about the trade, but if Dimentio really was happy about it, he wouldn’t push it. He’d just do his darndest to keep the book safe. And cared for. This thing wasn’t gonna get a speck of dust on it. It was going right into his box of valuables.
Of course, Dimentio’s question threw him for another loop. His eyes widened a bit. A sibling? How- how did he know that? Play it cool! He doesn’t know you, he’s just guessing, he mentally scolded himself. The demon coughed awkwardly. “A sibling...? Er, yeah, a sister,” he twittered, trying to play off nervousness as surprise. “But you probably wouldn’t know her. She’s a travelling trade merchant, and doesn’t stay here too often.”
It wasn’t quite the truth. He wasn’t about to admit that his sister was a demon, who traveled around to drop dark artifacts and chaos all over the place. She didn’t come by often, though. At worst, the statement was a well rehearsed lie. It sounded true if you didn’t know otherwise.  And he certainly was not about to admit it to a stranger.

Dimentio: yes i'm sure! think of any extra value you see in it as a tip! *dim said with a warm smile* this book is called the Light Prognosticus! it was made a very long time ago in my world! by very powerful ancients! it was made to tell one about their fate in a hopeful and inspiring manner able to in a way empower those with good intentions! unfortunately it won't work for me, so i want to give it to you Berimont! someone i know who will use it well!
((gonna take a minute to just sCREAM because i THOUGHT THAT WAS THE BOOK AND I WAS RIGHT SLKJFSKLJFSDKL--))
Berimont’s face flushed a bit under his scarf. Usually, this was the sort of thing he got from experienced customers! People he had rapport with! To get a powerful magic book- from what sounded like another dimension- was a huge honor. There was no way he’d be reselling this. He just sputtered a minute, composure lost. “I-I- oh geez- i-i dunno how to- how to thank you- aw shucks-” He put a hand to his cheek, flattered. “Y-you’re too kind,” he managed to squeak out, “b-but thank you! I’ll, um, k-keep it safe! A-and please! Feel free to take something else from the shop if you’d like, th-this is too valuable for me to just let you go with a bag strap!”

*dim placed his hand on his chin in contemplation* Dimentio: lets see, a good high quality strap'n excellent service from a charming person such as yourself? i think i have something you'll really like! *dim said as he reached into his satchel bag digging around in it for a moment before pulling out a book it was white in color with a star in the center of two rings on the cover he set the book down on the counter* do you also take info on the items people offer you?
Berimont tilted his head a bit. Oh? Does he have some sort of artifact to trade? That would be neat!!! Though he wasn’t sure he could trade that for a simple bag strap. Yeah, it was good quality, but he didn’t want to cheat a customer out of their artifacts!
When Dimentio pulled the book from his bag, Berimont instantly perked up. Oho! Now there was a cool artifact! Er- cool book, at least. It definitely looked like a magic artifact. He hummed appreciatively as he looked at the cover. “Are ya sure ya wanna trade this for just the bag strap?” he asked hesitantly. “It’s gorgeous, and I’d gladly take it! But I wanna make sure ya get your... eh...” He gestured with a hand. “Metaphorical gold’s worth, ya know?” His eyes flicked from the book to Dimentio. Had he said information? Hmm. “... and... er... what was that about item information?” he asked again. “I-if it’s an artifact, and we end up trading, I-I’m gonna need that.”

Dimentio: oh yes someone DID do quit a number on it! *dim said with an annoyed look* but considering what they could've done instead this is nothing, anyway i'll be back when i've found something i like! *with that dim went to look around the shop being careful not to disrupt anything returning a few minutes later with a new strap* hows this one?
Berimont sighed, nodding. “Yeah, I get that. Adventuring’s a rough time,” he replied, “hope you find what you need!!!” He waited until dimentio was busy searching to sit down. He was glad he’d brought a stool down from upstairs... it beat having to call break so often. He hummed quietly to himself as he watched dimentio. Maybe he could grab a snack soon... should be close to lunchtime...
When dimentio came back, Berimont was half lost in thought. “Hm-?” He paused, blinking. “Oh! Oh, yes, that one’s great!” He reached over to take a look at it. It was one of the nice ones. Figures. “Hmm... ‘s a good quality bag strap...” He glanced at dimentio, setting it on the counter. “What’ve you got to trade? I’m sure we can work something out!”

Dimentio: oh well Berimont i did indeed come in need of help! *dim said as he put his satchel bag on the counter the strap on the bag had been broken not just that it was in shredded ribbons* i was wondering if you had a replacement strap for my bad?
Berimont gasped softly at the damage. He gently picked up the strap for a better look. Sheesh... Dimentio was right to come for a replacement. “Oh wow! Something really did a number on it, huh?” He tsked. “Well!!! You came to the right place!!!” He gestured to the shelves around him. “If there’s not one in here, I can certainly look in the back room! You could check the other bags for one you like. They should be near the front of the shop.”
The good thing about owning one’s own shop is that you always know where things are. Plus you can arrange shelves so you can always see everywhere! Right from the counter! Handy. He trusted that dim wouldn’t be much trouble, though.
“Hopefully you find something!”

*the anon returned the others smile with a charming one of his own* Dimentio: Why hello there shop keep! do pardon my sudden stop by! *they said taking a bow* i am the master of dimensions the pleaser of crowds! i am Dimentio! *they offered a handshake to Berimont* to who do i owe the pleasure of meeting?
Berimont tipped his hat at dimentio, smiling behind his scarf. “‘S nice to meet ya, dimentio! And it’s no trouble! Shop’s still open, after all!” He hummed. He gave him a gentle handshake before continuing. “The name’s Berimont, though folks around here call me Marbles. Y’know. Cuz of my system ‘n all.” He chuckled ruefully, gesturing to the shop around him. “I take knickknacks and you take somethin fancy home! A nice trade, if you’ve got the right stuff.” He leaned forward on his elbows. Polite curiosity filled his gaze. He hadn’t seen someone like Dimentio before. He looked pretty cool. A different kind of traveller, perhaps. “Didja need help finding anything?” He asked.

*there was a sound of a door opening as a purple and yellow striped anon floated into Berimont's shop they walked to the front counter and waited*
Berimont was down in his shop as usual. His hat was pulled low, enchanting his horns and big ears away, and his scarf pulled high, hiding a snout and fangs. He hummed quietly to himself, tidying up things on the counter. It had been a nice day. Enough business that it wasn’t dead, but not so much it was busy. It was just right. He was in such a good mood...
He glanced up at the bell, smiling warmly at the anon. “Hello!” He said cheerily. “What can I help you with, stranger?”

Excuse the tiny pink imp while she hands out mushrooms to all the demons. She just wants everybody to have a treat today, though she figures some people will appreciate it more than others. ~ Valerie
Sable takes the mushrooms with a smile. “Thank ya kindly!” she beams, looking it over. Now, to eat them, or to save them for potions...? A question for the ages.
Mara raises a brow at the ‘shrooms, but takes them anyways. Guess I could do with a snack, she muses, popping a few in her mouth. Hmm... nice and poisonous... just how she likes em.
Clancy might not be a fullblood demon, but he counts enough for mushrooms. He nods thankfully to the pink imp. All he needed now was to find a place to put them. Well, a place he could put them without worrying that kids would get into them...
Berimont, of course, takes the shrooms with a relieved sigh. His hunger shows clearly from the sound. “Thank you,” he whispers, taking a few to eat immediately. “Really, th-thanks... I-I was running low again...” Hopefully these would tide him over for now.

*the anon raised a brow still with a causal smile* oh this ol'thing? *he said holding his guitar out so mara could get a better look it was black with neon violet pink detailing* its a guitar! its kinda like a violin but more epic'n cool'n junk! and mines a special one from my set of universes! able to play sounds like you've never heard before! *the anon placed their hand on their chin in a contemplative manner* would ya like one? got a couple of spares i ain't using!
Mara’s interest was definitely piqued. A new instrument? Well, why not? It looked wicked. And, as everyone knows, she was the queen of things in that department. Even if she might have to find out how to play first. Guitar hadn’t been on her radar before, but it sure as hell was now. She held out a hand expectantly. “Don’t mind if I do~” she purred. “I’m sure I’ll enjoy playing around a lot~”

Plant it :V
Mara held the bean out in front of her incredulously. Being a demon, she knew magic when she felt it. She wasn’t too keen on being close to a magic phenomenon.
“... I’m just gonna drop it in the dirt. Mother nature can take care of it or whatever.”
With that, the bean was dropped unceremoniously to the ground. The demon turned on her heel and started walking away. Weirdos, she thought, huffing.
