Diavolo’s smile is offensively soft, lush mouth tucked into the notch of Lucifer’s hip. As much as Lucifer would like to enjoy the sensation, the view, his displeasure at how they got to this point makes him clench his jaw. Diavolo’s light, playful tone still rings in his ears. 

Praise me, Lucifer.

What for? Lucifer wants to snort. This is Diavolo’s duty as acting regent in his slumbering father’s stead. Diavolo glances up at him with pale gold eyes, twinkling with amusement at the displeased twitch of Lucifer’s mouth. Lucifer’s hand tightens in Diavolo’s hair, making him sigh against his thigh. More, the sigh seems to say, but Lucifer holds onto propriety.

“You’re annoyed with me,” Diavolo grins—Lucifer is not sure that Diavolo has stopped looking delighted, not since he’d somehow convinced Lucifer to let him go down on him. With a furious glance at the enormous stack of papers on the table, Lucifer may be more annoyed at himself. 

It was such an obvious ploy to get out of work.

“Of course not,” Lucifer breathes, and Diavolo laughs. 

(If anything, this has highlighted Lucifer’s desperate need to take a vacation. He resists the urge to rub his temples.)

Perhaps it was the way Diavolo turned his chair to face him, posture open and inviting. How he had tempted him—Lucifer!—into stepping forward into the space between the future king’s thighs for a requested kiss. It must have been utter madness that drove him to allow Diavolo to take his hand, and tug his gloves off with his teeth. 

He should have fought it when Diavolo switched their positions, and found himself looking down at Diavolo undoing his pants. 

Ah, but Diavolo looks wonderful on his knees. 

As if sensing Lucifer’s internal monologue, Diavolo nips his thigh. With a hiss, Lucifer’s hand tightens considerably, pulling the head of their next future king away until his neck strains. At the victorious look on Diavolo’s face, Lucifer releases his hand as if burned. 

Settling between Lucifer’s legs again, Diavolo huffs.

“Don’t ignore me, Lucifer,” he whines, pressing his palm against the traitorous hard line of Lucifer’s cock.
