Big News
Chef Rupert hit the bell with his spatula, signaling you that orders were ready.
"Order up!"
You began to walk up to get the next orders, a man raised his coffee mug towards you.
"Another coffee here, chère."
You quickly turned and grabbed the coffee pitcher of your server plate.
"Coming right up, Virgil."
Just as you finished pouring Virgil's coffee, a woman raised her hand up and waved to you.
"Hey, Y/n!"
You briskly walked over to the woman and the group she was with in a booth table.
"Morning, Georgia."
The group variously greeted you as you put the coffee pitcher on the table.
"Hey, guys."
"We all going out dancing tonight. Care to join us?"
The rest of the group chimed in saying various positive things to try and persuade you to come join them.
"Oh, you all know I love to dance but I'm-"
You noticed hat a toddler was having a messy eating situation, so you pulled out a napkin from your dresses breast pocket.
"-You need a napkin, sweetheart?-"
After you gave the toddler the napkin, you speed walked over to a gentleman table over to give him his pancakes.
"-I'm going to work a double shift tonight.-Here are your hotcakes.-You know, so I can..."
Georgia from the group chimed in, interrupting you.
"So you can save for your restaurant. I know, I know. Girl, all you ever do is work."
Chef Swaggart hit the bell again, getting impatient.
"Order up!"
You turned your head in the direction of Swaggart and looked back to the group, and apologetic look displayed on your face.
"Maybe next time."
As you began walking away, the other girl among the group, who's name was Violet, spoke to the group.
"I told ya'll she wouldn't come."
You looked back to the group ever so slightly, feeling a little down.
"Are you talking about that blasted restaurant again?"
You walked over to the counter to grab the order Swaggart had made for a customer.
"Swaggart, your eggs are burning."
"Oh! you ain't never going to get enough for the down payment!"
Swaggart stared back at the eggs, making sure they wouldn't burn.
"I'm getting close."
"Yeah, how close?"
You, who had just about enough of Swaggart's persnickety-ness, changed the subject.
"Where are my flapjacks?"
Swaggart obnoxiously laughed, he then began piling orders onto you, to which you caught.
"You've got 'bout as much a chance of getting that restaurant as I do of winning the Kentucky Derby!"
Swaggart continued to boast, so you decided to walk away, tuning Swaggart out, and hand out the orders to there respective customers.
As you were handing the orders out, Mr. La Bouff walked in.
"Morning, Mr. La Bouff."
"Good morning, Y/n."
As you were handing out pancakes to a gentleman, you spoke with Mr. La Bouff.
"Congratulations on being voted King of the Mardi Gras parade."
Mr. La Bouff sat himself down at a table in front of a window.
"Caught me completely by surprise, for the fifth year in a row!"
Mr. La Bouff laughed at his own statement, while you smiled amusingly at him.
"Now, how about I celebrate with-"
You speed walked over and put a plate of beignets in front of him.
"Beignets? Got a fresh batch just waiting for you."
Mr. La Bouff picked a beignet off the plate, ready to eat it.
"Well, keep 'em coming till I pass out."
Just as Mr. La Bouff took a bite out of his beignet, Lottie came bursting in.
"Oh, Y/n/n!"
Lottie excitedly waltzed over to you, you chuckled at her never ending upbeat attitude.
"Hey, Lottie."
"Y/n/n, Y/n/n, Y/n/n, did you hear the news?"
Lottie then quickly sat down at the table her father was seated at.
"Tell her. Oh, tell her Big Daddy!"
Mr. La Bouff finished off a beignet and took out a newspaper.
"Oh, yeah, Prince Leonardo-"
Lottie quickly turned to you in pure excitement and wrapped her fur shawl around you like a hug.
"Prince Leonardo of Shangrao is coming to New Orleans!"
Lottie squealed and flutter kicked her legs up.
"Oh! Isn't he the bee's knees? Ooh!"
Lottie turned to around to speak directly to her father.
"Tell her what you you did, Big Daddy."
Lottie then began to shake Mr. La Bouff in pure anticipation.
"Tell her!"
After Mr. La Bouff recollected himself from Lottie shaking him, he tried to speak again.
"Well, I invited-"
Lottie, once again interrupted her father.
"Big Daddy invited the prince to a masquerade ball tonight! Oh!"
As Lottie talked, you put down a used coffee creamer pitcher and a coffee cup as Mr. la Bouff grabbed another beignet of his plate.
"Ooh, tell her what else you did, Big Daddy."
Everything was silent for a moment.
"Go on."
"And he's staying-"
"And he's staying-!"
Mr. La Bouff shoved a beignet in his daughter's mouth, in the hopes that he could finally talk, without being interrupted.
"And he's staying in our house as my personal guest."
Mr. La Bouff exhaled, relieved he at least got a sentence out. Lottie nodded along, her mouth still stuffed with a beignet.
"Oh, Lottie, that's swell."
You walked over to the La Bouff's with another plate of beignets.
"A little word of advice. My mama always said, "The quickest way a man's heart, is through his stomach."
You lightly patted your stomach to emphasize your words and walked away to continue serving other customers.
And in that moment, Lottie's eyes widened as she got an idea.
"Ah! That's it!"
Lottie swiped the beignet that was in her father's hand he was about to eat.
"What just happened?"
Lottie eagerly speed walked over to you.
"Oh, Y/n/n!"
Lottie hugged you from behind as you were putting away a tray.
"You're a bona fide genius!"
You amusingly hummed in response to Lottie.
"I'm gonna need about 500 of your man-catching beignets for my ball tonight. Excuse me, Daddy."
Lottie walked back over to her father, stuffed his mouth with a beignet and grabbed some cash out of his wallet.
"Will this about cover it?"
Lottie handed the money to you and you could barely pronounce a word at what just transpired.
"This...This should cover it just fine, Lottie. This is it! I'm getting my restaurant!"
Lottie whooped in celebration and she speed walked over to her father again. Rupert was in utter shock at what just went down.
"Ooh, tonight my prince is finally coming!"
And once again, just as Mr. La Bouff was about to eat another beignet, Lottie stopped him.
"And I sure as heck ain't letting him go!"
And with that the La Bouff's left the café. Draxum, who was sitting a table near a corner table peered over the menu he hide his face with.
He had a look of mischief on his face while his shadow's smile curled up, sinisterly.

Years Later
As the same door to the bedroom opened, in walked you, but as a grown 19 year old woman and you were exhausted from work.
You begrudgingly closed the door with your back and kicked off your shoes with a tired look on your face. You then took off your apron and walked over to your dresser.
As you opened the top drawer, canisters of coins and some dollars could be found inside it.
"Well, that was a rough night, but every little bit helps."
You emptied the money out of one of your aprons pocket and closed the drawer. You reached into the other pocket of your apron to find the same picture your dad gave you.
A smile was plastered on your face as you placed the picture on your mirror. Right next to the mirror was a framed photo of your father when he went to war, and a medal hanging on a corner of the frame of the photo.
"Don't worry, Dad."
You placed a kiss to your pointer and middle fingers and pressed it against the framed photo.
"We'll be there soon."
Tired and fatigued, you trekked over to your bed. Not even bothering to take off the rest of your apparel, you body slammed onto your bed, almost immediately dozing off into slumber.
However, the sweet release of sleep never came, as the alarm clock rang not even a minute later.
You pressed your toes onto the alarm clock to shut it off. You reluctantly got up and opened your wardrobe closet. You hastily took off your night waitress job's little bonnet.
"Good night, Cal's."
You grabbed your other waitress uniform from the small wardrobe closet.
"Good morning, Duke's."
Time quickly passed as you left the house and caught up to the trolley as it headed into town.
~🎶In the south land, there's a city🎶
🎶Way down on the river🎶~
You were reading a magazine on cooking, not noticing a man looking at you.
~🎶Where the women are very pretty🎶~
Just as the man was about to you a flower, you got off at your stop. And much to the man's disappointment, another guy on the trolley wasn't to fond of the flower, seeing as how it looked like it was being gestured to him.
~🎶And all the men deliver🎶~
Just as you stepped off the trolley, a brass band accidentally cut you off from getting to your job.
~🎶They got music, it's always playing🎶
🎶Start in the daytime, go all through the night🎶~
Just as the brass band seemed to end, a man with a trombone caught you off guard.
~🎶When you hear that music playing🎶~
Another member of the band began to dance with you but you excused yourself form him to get to your job.
~🎶Grab somebody, come on down🎶~
You flawlessly handed out each order to the people at the front counter.
~🎶Bring your paintbrush, we painting the town🎶~
You began adding honey drizzle to some freshly baked beignets.
~🎶There's some sweetness going 'round🎶~
Just as you finished adding the powdered sugar tot the beignets, you handed them to a serious looking military soldier.
~🎶Catch it down in New Orleans🎶~
As soon as the man took a bit out of a beignet, he smiled ad saluted to you.
You smiled and saluted back, but not before you were tapped on the shoulder by the cook, Chef Rupert.
He tossed the ordered food and drinks to you and thankfully you were able to catch them all.
~🎶We got magic, good and bad🎶~
A man by the name of Baron Draxum, more commonly referred to as the Shadow man, was performing a Tarot card reading for a man.
~🎶Make you happy or make you real sad🎶~
The man turned out to hide his bald head under a hat, to which Baron Draxum gave him something that would give the man hair.
~🎶Get everything you want🎶~
The man soon afterwards tried to flirt with a women with his new look.
~🎶Lose what you had🎶~
The women screamed in fright and smacked the man with her purse, to which he could see his reflection in a window and he turned out to hair all over himself!
~🎶Down here in New Orleans🎶~
Baron Draxum chuckled at the man's reaction and flicked the coin he received as payment into his inner coat pocket.
~🎶Hey, partner! Don't be shy🎶~
The honking of a car horn caught Draxum's attention, and it turned out to be Mr. La Bouff.
~🎶Come on down, yeah and give us a try🎶~
A kid was giving out newspapers and Mr. La Bouff paid him with a big stack of cash and he drove off as the kid thanked him.
~🎶If you wanna do some livin' before you die🎶~
Draxum's shadow opened his jacket, took out the coin, and gave it back to his physical self, both feeling angry.
~🎶Do it down in New Orleans🎶~
As Mr. La Bouff was reading the newspaper, it read; Prince Leonardo comes to Crescent City - The second eldest, and eldest twin prince of Shangrao arrived this morning in Crescent City, as it is his final stop on his whirlwind tour of the US. Rumor has it that the eligible prince is looking for a bride.
The scene changed to Prince Leonardo making his debut at the docks. As quick as a flash, he ripped his formal attire off to reveal casual ones underneath.
The prince quickly grabbed his ukulele from his royal valet, Warren. He then slid down the railings to some ladies at the bottom. As the brass band was walking by the pier, Leo decided to join them, with the women following along.
As Warren was trying to get down the stairs with all the prince's luggage in his hands, he slipped on the prince's crown. He came tumbling down, as the crown landed right side up on his bum.
~🎶Stately homes and mansions🎶~
The La Bouff mansion came into view as Mr. La Bouff's car pull up to gate and Lottie got into the car.
~🎶Of the sugar barons and cotton kings🎶~
Mr. La Bouff gives his daughter the newspaper and she squeals reading that a prince was visiting Crescent City.
~🎶Rich people, poor people all got dreams🎶~
You were currently outside, giving a man his coffee and cleaning up another outside table. Leo happened to be passing by and tried to flirt with you, but you just rolled your eyes with an amused smile on your face.
~🎶Dreams do come true in New Orleans🎶~

*Leonardo x Fem! Reader* A Princess and a Frog Au pt 1
Story Prompt: Leonardo was the second eldest prince to the Kingdom of Shangrao. You're a young woman who works to make a dream become a reality in New Orleans.
Who could guess that with new experiences and new meetings, new dangers lurk around every corner?
An; I'm bored, and I've had this idea for a story for awhile, so here it is
Tumblr media
Italics + 🎶 means singing
Italics means whispering
N/n means your nickname
P.S - Rogers is your family's last name, it also isn't a random last name I went with, it's legitimately Tiana's family name
At the start
~🎶The Evening Star is shining bright🎶
🎶So make a wish and hold on tight🎶
🎶There's magic in the air tonight🎶
🎶And anything can happen🎶~
"Just at that moment, the ugly little frog looked up with his sad, round eyes and pleaded: Oh, please, dear princess, only a kiss from you can break this terrible spell, that was inflicted on me by a wicked witch!"
The woman reading the fairytale was Marie, your mother, and she was working on something for your best friend, Lottie.
Lottie leaned in close to you, still staring with starry eyes at Mrs. Rogers' reading.
"Here comes my favorite part."
You looked at your best friend with a contempt smile as the little white kitten Lottie was holding let out a small meow.
Marie turned the page on the book to continue reading the tale and finish a bow for the dress Lottie was wearing.
"And the beautiful princess was so moved by his desperate plea, that she stooped down,-"
Marie turned her head ever so slightly to look at the girls with a playful smile on her face.
"-picked up the slippery creature,-"
The girls, who were getting really roped into the story, leaned in closer on the edge of their seats, so to speak.
"-leaned forward, raised him to her lips,-"
Lottie nodded her head excitedly while you shook your head to he sides.
"-and kissed that little frog!"
Lottie exclaimed from sheer joy and adoration, while you scrunched your nose and shook your head more, disgusted by the picture your mind created at those very words.
The kitten, who had been squished in the arms Lottie, escaped her.
"Then the frog was transformed into a handsome prince! They were married and lived happily ever after. The end."
Lottie leaned backwards and put her arms in the air from pure delight of the story.
"Yay! Oh!"
Lottie accidentally fell completely backwards but her dress provided a nice soft landing. You giggled at your best friends silly antics.
"Read it again, Big Mama! Read it again!"
Your mother, whose nickname was Big Mama, leaned down and helped Lottie up off the floor.
"Sorry Charlotte, it's time for use to be heading home. Say good night, Y/n."
As your mother was getting her bag, you scrunched your nose once more and decided to comment on the story your mother told.
"You couldn't give me everything in the world by kissing a frog, never! Yuck!"
Lottie held her hands behind her dress, with a mischievous look displayed on her face.
"Is that so?"
Lottie quickly looked down to see her kitten and swiftly put a little frog costume on him.
"Well, here's your Prince Charming, N/n!"
Lottie briskly walked over and playfully smooshed the kittens face against your cheek.
"Come on, kiss him."
You smiled at Lottie's silly ploy to get you to kiss the dressed up kitten and moved the him face away from your cheek.
"No."
Lottie continued to try and get you to kiss him and further press the kitten to your cheek.
"Kiss him!"
You playfully continued to try and keep the kitten away from you.
"C'mon, stop it, Lottie!"
Lottie edged forward with trying to match-make you with "Prince Charming" with each little push of the kitten towards you.
"Kiss him!, kiss him, kiss him!"
You decided to end the little ploy Lottie came up with and move the kitten as far away from your face as possible.
"I won't, I won't, I won't!"
And with one final playful shove, Lottie was sent onto the ground with her poofy dress as a cushion.
Lottie had quickly recovered and immediately responded to your rejecting of kissing a frog.
"I would do it! I would kiss a frog!"
The kitten, still in Lottie's grasp, kept trying to escape her clutches.
"I would kiss a hundred frogs if I could marry a prince and be a princess!"
Lottie kissed the side of her kittens face, resulting in the kitten launching itself up to the ceiling, his claws keeping him there.
You both laughed at the reaction of the kitten and rolled on the floor with laughter.
Your mother shook her head at you two little rascals.
"You girls, stop tormenting that poor little kitty."
While the two of you continued to laugh, Marie got the kitten down from the ceiling.
"Poor little thing."
The kitten clung onto the carpet like it's life depended on it and scampered away. Marie shook her head at the poor little traumatized kitten.
A man walked into the room, wearing a white suit and salmon colored tie.
"Evening, Marie."
Lottie, upon hearing her father's voice, ran up to her father, in excitement for her new dress.
"Daddy! Daddy! Look at my new dress! Isn't it pretty?"
Mr. La Bouff laughed and leaned down with his arms open wide and picked up his daughter.
"Look at you! Why, I'd expect nothing less from the finest seamstress in New Orleans."
Marie gave Mr. La Bouff an appreciative smile. Lottie on the other hand, was looking at the picture of the maiden from the storybook Mrs. Rogers had read to you and her.
"Ooh! I want that dress!"
Mr. La Bouff turned his head to Lottie and turned his body away from the book, trying to see reason with his daughter.
"Ah, now Sugarplum-!"
Lottie began pulling on the ends of her father's mustache, desperately wanting to look like the maiden in the fairytale.
"I want that one! Please, please, please, please!"
Mr. La Bouff gave into his daughter plea and turned to Mrs. Rogers, hoping to end the pain his upper lip was feeling.
"Marie, you suppose you could whip up something like that?"
Mrs. Rogers chuckled and gestured to the many dress she's made for Lottie.
"Anything for my best customer."
Lottie cheered, now that her dress collection would soon grow, again.
"Come along, Y/N. Your daddy should be home from work by now."
You, who had been ready for awhile, took your mother's hand and walked out of Lottie's room and down the hallway. Talking from Lottie's room could still be heard.
"All right now, princess, you're getting that dress, but that's it. No more Mr. Pushover....Now who wants a puppy?"
"I do! I do! He's so cute!"
As you and Marie walked out of the La Bouff mansion and towards the end of the sidewalk, a trolley pulled up and stopped.
Once you and your mother were seated, the trolley started up again. You got on your knees on the seat and peered out the window. The mansions and big elite houses soon faded away to much smaller houses.
The trolley stopped, and as you and your mother got off, you both waved a thank you to the trolley driver, who kindly waved back.
You and your parents didn't have much money for a house like Lottie's but it was enough for you and your family.
A half an hour passed by and you were making gumbo with your father, Arthur, while your mother was sitting at her sewing machine. working on Lottie's next dress.
"Mmm. Gumbo smells good, Y/n."
Your father was watching you stir the pot of gumbo as he commented on it.
"I think it's done, Daddy."
You scooped up some gumbo from the pot, determined it was done and ready for tasting.
"Yeah? Are you sure?"
Marie looked at her daughter and husband, smiling in amusement.
"Yes."
Marie continued to work, her smile still expressed on her face at her husband's silly but amusing antics.
"O-kay, I'm 'bout to put this spoon in my..."
You began thinking, and took the spoon from your father, as he chuckled in response.
"Wait!"
You added a bit of Tabasco sauce to the gumbo, stirred it up to spread the flavor, tasted it and was satisfied with your addition.
"Now it's done."
Your father leaned down as you fed him a spoonful of the gumbo.
"Hmm."
You looked at your father, a worried expression displayed upon your face at his response.
"What?"
"Well, sweetheart, this is the..."
You looked away, getting sad thinking you didn't make the gumbo right. But your father, being the silly goose he was, scooped you up in his arms.
"...best gumbo I've ever tasted!"
You giggled at your father as he laughed with you in his arms.
"Come here. Marie, our little girls got a gift!"
Your mother got up from her sewing machine and walked over to the two of you.
"Mmm-hmm. I could've told you that."
"A gift this special's just gotta be shared."
As Arthur let you out of his arms, you ran to the front door and opened it.
"Hey everybody, I made gumbo!"
The various neighbors all exclaimed in rejoice of the smell of the gumbo.
Soon enough, everyone in the little neighborhood was sat on the front porch of your house and eating the gumbo with smiles plastered on their faces.
Afterwards, it was time for bed. Arthur and Marie were sitting down with you on your bed.
"You know the thing about good food? It brings folks together from all walks of life. It warms them right up and it puts little smiles on their faces-"
Your father reached over and grabbed a piece of paper with a picture of the inside of a restaurant and people in it.
"-and when I open up my own restaurant, I tell you, people are going to be lining up for miles around just to get a taste of my food."
As you listened to your father, you corrected him on last bit of what he said.
"Our food."
Arthur chuckled at your input.
"That's right, baby."
Your father grabbed a crayon and wrote "Y/n's place" on a corner and showed it to you.
"Our food."
You reached out and hugged the picture as a smile on your face, and out of the corner of your eye, you spotted the Evening Star out of your window.
"Daddy, look."
You pointed to the Evening Star in the sky and began crawling on top of your bed to get to the window sill.
"Where're you going?"
"Charlotte's fairytale book said: If you make a wish on the Evening Star, it's sure to come true."
Arthur and Marie joined you by the window sill. Marie hummed in response.
"Well, you wish on that star, sweetheart."
"Yes. You wish and you dream with all your little heart. But remember, Y/n, that old star can only take you part of the way. You got to help it along with some hard of your own. And then..."
Your father cupped the side of your head with his hand.
"...yeah, you can do anything you set your mind to."
Marie walked over to rest her hands on her husband's shoulders.
"Just promise your daddy one thing. That you'll never, ever lose sight of what's really important. Okay?"
You nodded your head with a determined smile upon your face. Your parents kissed you good night and tucked you in.
And just as they left the room and closed the door, you sprang up, grabbed the picture off your nightstand and crawled back over to the window sill.
You pulled back the slightly transparent curtains and stared out at the Evening Star high above you.
You looked down at the picture, hugged it tightly to your chest and tightly closed your eyes.
"Please, please, please."
Just then, you felt like someone was staring at you. You looked to your right to see a frog was on your window sill.
You and the frog just stared at one another for a moment, until the frog croaked!
You screeched in fright and hastily ran out your room, closing the door behind you.

Okay, so I know people really hate Chloe, which in the beginning I would agree with. But, in the episodes with Chloe's mom, Audrey Bourgeois, Chloe tried her best to follow in her mother's footsteps. I personally think Chloe idolizes her mother so much so that she doesn't think about her own personality or just herself in general. Chloe tells her mother the truth or at least a stretch on what Chloe thinks happens at times, but she's never lied, unlike Lila who lies without hesitation to her mother.
I personally think that Chloe having a redemption arc is just what she needs.

Okay, I gotta say something.
Does anyone else like a fictional character BUT also ship said character with another character.
I'm genuinely curious if anyone else does this or if it's just me

I just had a brainstorm theory. What if both Emilie and Amelie couldn't conceive and that's why Emilie risked using the peacock miraculous to help her husband gain a son and her sister gain a son as well?
Cause I'm pretty sure we all know when Nathalie used the peacock miraculous when it was damaged, it hurt her. But Emilie used the peacock miraculous to make more than one senti-monster, so it hurt her a great deal more.
I don't know if this true, but I was just thinking. Tell me your thoughts in the comments!

Okay so I was thinking about how Chat and Ladybug could communicate with there weapons and then I stumbled upon this
Tumblr media
(picture is not mine)
THEY CAN TEXT EACH OTHER.
I'm convinced, before the other superheroes came to be, Chat would send Ladybug a bunch of texts when he's on patrol alone cause he feels lonely. And Ladybug would finally show up, pissed at him but they'd hang out and patrol together afterwards.
It sounds so cute🥺
