Is ACNH's Reception Counter not a redesign of ACNL's Wooden Counter?

I'd say no since the little glass display thing is a defining feature of the wooden counter and counters are simple enough items that that's a big deal. if they had the same name or were part of a set that got an overhaul I would probably list them as such, but I don't really see any reason to pair the two together as is

Congrats on finishing! It's been a wild ride.

I have a question about the total number for NH: NookPlaza has the total amount listed as 1,921 but they haven't added the 11 zodiacs, with the total reaching 1,932. I remember that you said you aren't counting the 160 furniture models from CJ/Flick, so for your tally, the amount is 1,772. Is the 11 number discrepancy because of the zodiac figurines of 2.0.4 update?

#you sent this literally the exact second I was walking out the door for work #and I saw the preview like 'eh another congrats message this can wait until I get back' lmao #I think there are still 10 more items after that that I don't know where they came from #bc I combined all the flower wreaths into one post so there SHOULD be 25 items missing from the final tally #the zodiac animals count for 11 of them #2 of the masks count bc those are clothes in NH but furniture in NL which makes 13 #plus the ant farm I counted as both a kinda and a yes bc I wasn't as standardized at the start of the blog so that's 14 #plus the cupcake that isn't furniture is 15 #so where are the other 10 that make up for the missing flower wreaths #NL's discrepancy is almost entirely public works + a few that I combined together to match with one NH item

statistics time babes

tumblr archive has this fun little tool that tells you how many posts have a certain tag on them BUT I noticed tumblr doesn’t know how to count so I counted these up manually ur welcome

880 items are new to NH (433 are from 2.0)

682 items from NL made it into NH (205 are from 2.0)

161 items from NL got sizable redesigns in NH (44 are from 2.0)

990 items from NL did not make it into NH

NL had 1764 items

NH has 1733 items (or 1772 if you include ceiling items)

the numbers don’t add up perfectly to the totals at the end because I did some weird stuff with tagging. the public works in NL account for the biggest discrepancy, but there were also a bunch of smaller edge cases that I counted weird as well. you could also argue the yes and kinda numbers should be different since a lot were kind of on the edge between those two and how I tagged those ones largely depended on how I was feeling that day. THE POINT BEING, I took those final two numbers directly from the databases that list all the items, so they are accurate.
