ON JUNE 21ST...
Every reporter in Ithaca, New York is on scene at Beebe Lake, where just a week before, the annual Canoeing for Cancer event was held by Cornell University. There are reports of a body found on the lake, and suddenly two native Ithacans, an Ithaca College professor and his wife who were presumed to be on vacation, are pictured on every news station. The body found on the lake has been identified as the college professor, Manraj Sahni, and there is an active missing persons report for his wife, Monica.
So far, this is being seen as an isolated incident and likely an accident following the Canoeing for Cancer event. Please, keep an eye and ear out, and call the Ithaca Police Station tip line if you have any information on the found body or the active missing persons report.

connection details: tw for drugs, child neglect and abuse. i suggest reading her bio for full details! your character was the older sibling to şadiye, and they were born into a very toxic family where the parents were making and pushing drugs in their home. this led to extreme neglect towards their children, and eventually abuse which your character tried shielding şadiye from for years. they practically raised her, and were incredibly close. but whenever she was seven, the neighbors called child protective services on them while your character and their mother were out, and while şadiye was taken into custody, when their mother was approaching and saw that cps was there, she took off with your character without even stopping at the house. anywhere between then and your character ending up in ithaca is up to you, but şadiye ended up being put in the system and adopted by a couple in england.. now after looking them up and seeing where they’re currently at, she’s in ithaca searching them out to reconnect!

✩ ANONYMOUS ASKED: Hi, just a quick clarification. The guidelines say all fcs have to be 21+ but the banned list says anyone under 18...where does that leave the 18-21 fcs?
Honestly, that was 100% admin error. Our previous age limit was 18+, but from some feedback we got, we ended up changing it to 21+. That’s been changed on the guidelines page, now, to say that we won’t accept any fcs under 21. Thank you for catching that, I’m sorry it bought on some confusion!!
