Tekkaman Blade for me (for series, Vampire Hunter D for movie).
Everyone’s starter anime is death note.
I don’t count sailor moon or dbz cuz you watched those as a kid and assumed they were cartoons.
I mean when you got “into” anime fully aware of what it was and actually became immmmmmersed in this bizarre weeb culture.
It’s usually death note.

Let’s Get Sloppeh and Duo!
The archive of our last duoing stream is finally fully processed and live.
Once again I have to say that duoing all this stuff is the most fun I have in this game.  I like the story and all, but I really like duoing this stuff to see what we can/can't clear.  Trying to do The Final Steps of Faith was awesome even though we couldn't quite clear it.  I imagine if we can get our iLevels closer to 400 (probably by the end of the 4.x expansion) we might be able to do it (perhaps with 40% echo, but a win is a win lol).  I mean we were getting pretty close even now with i350 on me.  It's just akh morn that we need to figure out how to survive and the rest is golden.
Anyway, time codes..
Steps of Faith: 1:13
Baelsar's Wall: 6:01
Sohm Al (Hard): 35:00
Urth's Fount: 1:03:51
The Whorleater (Extreme): 1:13:16 (winning run starts 1:47:00)
The Striking Tree (Extreme): 1:56:38 (winning run starts 2:07:34)
Thok ast Thok (Hard): 2:15:22
The Final Steps of Faith: 2:22:21 [Failed, even at 40% echo though we did make it to the last phase]
The Bowl of Embers (Extreme): 3:06:06 (winning run starts 3:09:45)
The Singularity Reactor: 3:17:23
The Howling Eye (Extreme): 3:26:39

I'm sharing this because it's really important. However a small part of me feels like it's pointless. I honestly don't think Pai cares what we think and he'll do whatever he wants.
Once more for old time’s sake
🔥 With your help, we passed Title II net neutrality protections. Now we need to defend it.🔥
On December 14 the FCC will vote on Commissioner Pai’s plan to repeal Title II rules. This week he tried to justify that decision with a “myth busting” explainer where he makes a lot of sweeping claims he doesn’t think you’ll fact check.
So let’s go through his big points:
❌ Mr. Pai claims ISPs won’t block access or throttle content
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the real facts. Before Title II, the internet was so “free and open” that…
Comcast blocked P2P file sharing services (EFF).
AT&T blocked Skype from iPhones (Fortune) and, later, wanted FaceTime users to pay for a more expensive plan (Freepress).
MetroPCS blocked all streaming video except YouTube (Wired).
In today’s media market where the same huge companies make and deliver content, Commissioner Pai wants us to trust that corporations won’t use their dominance to bury competitive content or services.
❌ Mr. Pai claims Title II keeps ISPs from building new networks
Tumblr media
Here’s another claim Commissioner Pai doesn’t want you to fact check, but:
AT&T’s own CEO told investors that the company would deploy more fiber optic networks in 2016 than 2015 when the FCC passed Title II protections (Investor call transcript).
Charter’s CEO said “Title II, it didn’t really hurt us; it hasn’t hurt us” (Ars Technica).
And Comcast actually increased investment in their network by 10% in Q1 of this year (Ars).
❌ Mr. Pai claims repealing Title II won’t hurt competition
Tumblr media
As we mentioned above, ISPs tried to interfere with the services their customers could access and courts had to step in to stop them.
The FCC tried to craft net neutrality rules in 2010 called the Open Internet Order but the ISPs sued and won. The courts told the FCC that the only way to guarantee a free and open internet was using their Title II authority. Without those protections, any of these things would be legal:
Your ISP launches a streaming video service and starts throttling other streaming services until they’re unusable.
Your phone company cuts a deal with a popular music streaming service so it doesn’t count towards your data cap but lowers your overall data limit. If a better service comes along (or your favorite artist releases new tracks somewhere else) you can’t use it without incurring huge data fees.
A billionaire buys your ISP and blocks access to news sites that challenge their ideology.
Repealing Title II would be like letting a car company own the roads and banning a competitor from the highways.
❌ Mr. Pai claims there won’t be fast lanes and slow lanes
Tumblr media
Let’s break this down: We won’t have fast lanes and slow lanes, we’ll have “priority access” and…non-priority access? Well gosh.
🚨 Please help us protect Title II one more time!🚨
This week we co-signed a letter with more than 300 other companies—businesses Mr. Pai gleefully ignores—urging the FCC to retain the Title II internet protections. Now we need you.
Go to 👉 Battle For The Net 👈  to start a call with your representatives in Congress. Tell them to publicly support Title II protections.
The FCC votes on December 14.
We’re only powerful when we work together.
Oh, also: that post about automatically unfollowing the #net neutrality tag—it’s not true. It’s really not. That’s not who we are. Whatever happened, we haven’t been able to reproduce it. We tried. A lot.
But if it were true—which it’s not, we feel compelled to say again—THAT’S EXACTLY WHY YOU SHOULD CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES and demand a free, open, and neutral internet.
We can do this one more time, guys! ❤️

More Heavensward Dungeons
The quest to duo every dungeon in the game continues!  Today Tiranadel and I decide to tackle most of the hard mode dungeons that were introduced in Heavensward.
Neverreap The Fractal Continuum Saint Mocianne's Arboretum Pharos Sirius (Hard) The Lost City of Amdapor (Hard) Hullbreaker Isle (Hard)
We also went back and beat Titan Ex and Ifrit Ex.  It’s definitely a lot easier at level 70 but they’re still annoying to the point where I don’t know if I want to bother grinding for ponies.
Anyway, next time I think we’ll try to finish up the HW dungeons.  As of this post we still have the following left to try to duo: The Great Gubal Library (Hard) Sohm Al (Hard) Xelphatol Baelsar's Wall Once we finish those we’ll move onto the HW trials.  I bet duoing The Final Steps will be a giggle.

FFXIV D&D Classes
I have discovered something really cool!  Someone has created a D&D 5th edition homebrew of the classes and races found in Final Fantasy XIV. http://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/B1HBWX5j
It’s times like this that I wish I still had loads of free time to run RPGs.  I’d totally run a FFXIV campaign using this.

HW Dungeons Duo
It’s that time again ladies and gentlemen! Time for Iyouboushi and Tiranadel to duo some FFXIV dungeons!  This time we tackle most of the normal mode Heavensward dungeons.  In this video I am a level 70 i297 BRD and Tiranadel is a level 61 WHM (not sure on iLevel).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCp7ewKlcBI
The Aery: 1:04 Sohr Khai: 20:06 The Dusk Vigil: 58:21 Sohm Al: 1:15:00 The Vault: 1:30:39 The Great Gubal Library: 1:52:32 Aetherochemical Research Facility: 2:14:04
We’ll do The Antitower at a later time as it was getting super late by the time we finished these.
The rest of the NM dungeons and the HM dungeons and the trials will have to wait until Tiranadel hits level 70 first.

Duo Fun in FFXIV!
Smz (playing Tiranadel) and I have been really busy in Final Fantasy XIV trying to duo every dungeon and trial that allows undersized parties/not forcing syncing.  Turns out that a BRD (me) and WHM can duo pretty much everything, including the insanely difficult Steps of Faith.
I recorded most of everything we did, though we really didn’t do them in any specific order.  Also some of the videos have multiple things in them (I kind of wish I could edit them all into individual videos, but oh well). Something else worth mentioning: most of the hard level 50 dungeons that are repeats of earlier dungeons (such as Sastasha and Copperbell) were done blind. The links are below and time codes are listed in the info boxes of each video that has multiple things in them.
Haukke Manor (Hard): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRT4S6_BAts Brayflox Longstop (Hard), The Wanderer’s Palace, and Amdapor Keep (Hard): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBSODvaf8N8 Halatali (Hard), The Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard) and Copperbell Mines (Hard): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oBJotGl_hY Sastasha (Hard), The Lost City of Amdapor, Hullbreaker Isle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-filPkYCro Snowcloak, Keeper of the Lake, The Aurum Vale, Amdapor Keep (Hard) again--was a request from a viewer-- and The Navel (Hard): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFak9mqAUF0 Stone Vigil (Hard): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXz5iltQ81Q Cape Westwind, The Howling Eye (hard), The Whorleater (hard), The Striking Tree (hard), Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Hard), The Chrysalis, Thornmarch (Hard), and The Steps of Faith [failed run in this video, the winning run is in another video]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoBhB0i7Woc The Steps of Faith (winning run) & The Bowl of Embers (Hard): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwoZ1guCnPY Tam-Tara Deepcroft (Hard): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPzc_FEcO8c In terms of difficulty.. The Steps of Faith was the hardest. Second hardest was The Navel (Hard).  TItan can be a royal pain.  Beyond that.. most of them weren’t too bad.  Occasionally we did die but usually won on the second or third try.  The most epic moment was when Smz soloed Shiva from 25% and won.
Hopefully when Stormblood drops and we all hit level 70 they’ll let us duo the level 60 dungeons/trials.  Honestly this was the most fun I’ve had in the game since I beat the HW story.
...And although we did Pharos Sirius I don’t see it in any of the videos. Guess I forgot to record that one. Oops.

Iyou Has Return to Eorzea
Anyone who knows me knows that I play Final Fantasy XIV for the story. I have very little interest in crazy 24-man raids or trying to endure the anima/relic grinds.  So when I finished 3.4′s story last Dec I decided to take an extended hiatus away from the game.
Then Stormblood announced that samurai would be one of the available jobs and my interest resparked.  That combined with the fact that 3.55 was just released so the last of the story is now available.  The problem is.. apparently you need ilevel 230 to do the last bit of the story and I left the game at ilevel 228.
Smz discovered the Callback Campaign which allows you to reinvite a friend back to the game.  As an incentive, SE hands out 10 silver chocobo feathers to the person that gets invited back which can be used for ilevel 230 gear (among other things).  Awesome!  A free 7 days to play AND some i230 pants (the only gear on the left side that was below 230 was my pants)??  Sign me up!
Yesterday I got the invite. It turns out that for 5 silver choco feathers you can get the body and the pants together.  Problem is, I already had the body and you can't receive a second one while you already have one on you.  Had to turn that one into the GC for some seals (which was a nice hefty amount, don't get me wrong, just annoying) and finally had the pants.
My old pants were i210, the new ones were i230.  Was it enough to get my overall item level to 230 so I could continue the story?
Well my name is Iyouboushi and I have the worst luck on the planet so.... no.  I'm now sitting at i229.  *Price is Right Losing Sound*
I really thought going from i210 to i230 on leg armor would have given me more than +1 total. So now I still have to grind tomes before I can do the last bit of story. Lulz.
Thankfully it won't be too much of a grind as I had apparently already had half the amount of scripture necessary to get the next accessory.  It'll just be a few hours worth of grinding.  So in the end this isn't a huge big deal.. just kind of annoying as I really want to continue the story.
Also not really sure what to do with the remaining 5 silver choco feathers.  Maybe I'll hang onto them in the event that I ever get samurai to level 60.  Maybe SE will add more things to the list that I can purchase with them after Stormblood comes out.
In any event, totally hyped and ready to go!
