Here he is, everybody! My fursona!

His name is Krieg, and he’s a hybrid of a striped hyena and a dragon. Honestly, for quite a while, my fursona (or I guess scalesona) was just a dragon, but I was rethinking things lately. I was trying to figure out why the dragon didn’t quite seem like the right fit anymore, and wondering what was. I still love dragons, and they still have a special connection in my soul, but I thought for a long time on it, and came to only one conclusion.

Hyenas are my soul, just like dragons have been for a long time. Both are very misunderstood creatures in a lot of ways, and.. so am I. I am autistic, and have ADHD, and I have felt for a long time that I have a hard time being properly understood. I struggle to communicate in the way people want me to. On top of that, I’m a trans-man and just trying to understand myself.

That’s why Krieg is so important to me. He is the truest expression of me, and gives me the confidence to just be myself. I may not quite fit in right with my hyena ‘clan’, and I don’t quite fit among dragons either. But there’s a place for misfits like me, and I’m glad I’ve found it now.

“Alastor. Pleasure to be meeting you, quite a pleasure.” He stepped back, moving toward the parlor. “You are welcome to take a seat here in the parlor, and I’ll handle all the paperwork. Not to worry.” A wave of his hand, and a faint rustle of paper as he took a moment to make note of her presence here as well as who she was here for.

“If you would like anything to drink, simply ask Husker at the bar, and he’ll fix up anything you’d like.” A brief chuckle, and a soft cant of his head. “Now, I must admit I am rather curious. If you don’t mind my asking, what is it that’s brought you to the hotel? Seeking redemption? Or perhaps simply an escape of some kind? We had an issue a while back of attempted spying, so I can only hope you’re not here for that particular endeavor.” Yes, he still remembered how Pentious had arrived at the hotel. First an attempt to attack him, then a false claim of seeking redemption while he attempted to spy for the Vee’s, and then..

A momentary glance at the portrait on the wall. Despite his initial arrival and attempted spying, Pentious had in fact done well at the hotel. Even Alastor felt the loss of the serpent. It wasn’t as if he’d exactly been friends with him, but he had grown accustomed to his presence, so.. without him, it was as if there was an emptiness where he’d once been.

He had to take a moment to compose himself, but his mind was working quickly. Let’s see, what did he know. A young woman who appeared entirely human was standing on the doorstep of the hotel. Got that. He wasn’t who she had expected to encounter. Interesting. Certainly something to make note of. She’d heard of the hotel by apparent word of mouth, and expected a young woman at the door? That could mean either Charlie or Vaggie was who she had been expecting in his place.

Now, considering his own initial arrival at the hotel months ago, he did recall he’d been greeted by Charlie herself. Perhaps a bit nervously so, but it had been Charlie nonetheless. So that could only be who this young lady was anticipating. Not Vaggie, and certainly not himself. Now that he’d rapidly worked his way through that little puzzle, he was better equipped to handle the task at hand.

“Unfortunately, Charlie has stepped out for the moment to run a few errands. However, I wouldn’t be doing my job as host of the hotel, if I didn’t at least offer for you to come inside.” He stepped back from the door, a wide sweep of his arm and a slight bow to welcome her in, his ever-present grin never faltering and perhaps even stretching just a touch wider. “You are welcome to have a seat and wait for Charlie to return if you like. After all, I wouldn’t dare turn away a potential guest.”

Transitioning isn't worth it. It's like drugs. You get one procedure done then it's eventually not enough. You get a high from getting it done for a bit then it wears off and then you need/ want more and in the end, it's just ultimately a waste of money.

;; I’m sorry, but since when is this your business? What may not seem worth it to you, may be very important to someone else. If it lets me actually be happy in my own skin for the first time in my entire life, then it’s worth it to me and very far from a waste of money.

You are allowed to have your opinion, but don’t you dare think that you can enforce it on other people. I am 33 years old, and the happiest time in my life was when I was too young to even understand the concept of gender, and even then, I remember being six years old and wondering why I don’t have a penis.

Let people live their lives, and don’t push your opinions on someone else, especially when you don’t know the life they’ve had.

“Luz, I’m serious, just- …just let it go..” His eyes never met hers, no matter her words or his, he was avoiding looking at her. Had the very mention of an eclipse thrown him into a full-blown panic? Sure, but he wanted to move past it, to… to show he was still strong enough to handle anything that came his way. If he wasn’t strong enough, then what was he even good for anymore..?

“It’s okay.. Really, I.. I mean that. We all make mistakes, right? So.. let’s just.. move forward.” Move forward. Right. Perched on the boy’s shoulder, Flapjack knew by now that those words were usually Hunter code for ‘let’s push these emotions down deep and never confront them again’. A soft chirp, and a gentle nip on Hunter’s ear, and-

;; Okay, here’s the deal, friend! First of all, you are not being a bother at all! Never a bother! I’m sorry the link isn’t working for you. There’s just one small problem here though.

I am also currently confined to mobile. I am on mobile, and my current muse list has probably somewhere around 400 (or more) muses on it. It would take a very long time for me to just list them all right here.

I do have an old muse list post on my blog somewhere, though it is just a little bit out of date (just a couple muses taken off the list, others added that aren’t on the old post, nothing too major). Come by my dm’s if you like, and I can probably link you to that old thing to give you a general idea of the insanity around here though, if you’re really interested!

;; Okay. So I’m going to be a little blunt here, and I’m sorry if it hurts anybody’s feelings or.. anything?

First of all, I appreciate so much that you are coming to me to ask this at all. Thank you, really! It’s a small ask, but it’s a pretty important one to me.

Second, I don’t want to offend anyone by directly turning down their interest in writing with me. I love finding new partners, new friends, new people to talk to! Really, I do! But as far as rping goes, I admit I can be a little picky.

Ultimately, no. I never mind anyone coming into my dms to chat and talk to me about the possibility of writing together, but for the sake of my own comfort, I can’t promise that we actually will write together unless I can get a good idea of your writing style and see how it would mesh with mine. I know that probably seems a little ridiculous, or weird, but it’s just how my brain works. Could be the autism, could be something else, I dunno.

Long story short, yes. Anyone is always welcome in my dms any time to come and chat with me, but as long as you understand that it is ultimately up to me whether or not we end up writing together, then please! I’d love to get to know you!
