Jaina's Autograph
They say that Lady Jaina Proudmoore in Theramore is one of the greatest heroes the Alliance has ever had. When I grow up, I wanna be a hero of the Alliance too! Do you know Jaina? Could you do me a favor, please? Could you get her autograph for me? I dunno how to ask her, and she'd probably be too busy for someone like me... but you! You're an adventurer just like she is! I bet she'd give you her autograph easy!
Why⊠that is very sweet of you. I gather that you are volunteering time for Children's Week? Well, you are to be commended. It is imperative that we remember those less fortunate - especially the children. I'd be happy to sign an autograph. Here you go.

"Anduin has had a difficult time of it," Jaina said, her voice thick. She cleared it and resumed. "But Bolvar was not his father. You are, and I know he's glad to have you back. But â "
"But he wants his father back, not Lo'Gosh. Completely understandable. But Jaina⊠sometimes I'm not sure where one ends and the other begins. I⊠do not like having the boy around, living with me, while I try to determine this."
"I've been thinking the same thing. And I have an ideaâŠ."
*************
He laughed at the display. "I forgot. Just the tea, then. Oh, and some bread and honey. And some cheese, Dalaran sharp. And a couple of apples." Jaina was touched. Anduin had remembered apples and cheese were Jaina's favorite snack. "Thank you."
Jaina hid her smile. Definitely a growing boy. Once Wyll had left, Anduin obeyed her earlier request, settling himself comfortably on the bed, regarding her with those bright blue eyes that saw more than adults suspected.
"There, that's better. I've not come to lecture you or to apologize for your father," Jaina continued. "I've come to give you an opportunity for a little fun, if you like."
He raised a golden eyebrow at that. "Oh? Fun?" He pronounced the word with exaggerated awkwardness. "What, pray tell, is that?"
"Something you need more of. Your father is upset that you had to see that. He and I talked for a bit, and we both decided that you might like to have the chance to get away from things from time to time."
He eyed her curiously. "What exactly did you have in mind?"
"How would you like to come visit me at Theramore?" Anduin had been to Theramore once, during a terrible storm, to attend peace talks that had been violently disrupted. She hoped to change his association of the place to a more positive one.
But Anduin apparently had the resiliency of youth, for instead of looking unhappy, he brightened. "Visit the frontier again? I'd like that very much! I didn't get to see very much of it at all. Is there any dragon fighting going on?"
"Hardly any at all," Jaina said with a mock sigh. "But I'm sure there is some trouble a thirteen - year - old boy can get into."
"Thirteen and a half, almost" Anduin admonished her in all seriousness.
"I stand corrected."
"But⊠it's a very long journey."
"Not for magi."
"Well, no, of course not, I didn't mean for you, Aunt Jaina, I meant for me."
She smiled at him. "I've got a little something that might make traveling a bit easier." She fished in the pouch clipped to her belt and came out with a small oval crystal covered with soft blue runes. "Here. Catch!"
Jaina tossed it to Anduin, who caught it easily. "It's pretty," he said, examining it and tracing the runes with his fingers.
"Pretty, and rather rare. Hold it lightly for now. Don't close your fingers over it. Recognize the runes?"
He peered at it. "It has your name and the word⊠'Home,'" he said.
"That's right. I see you've been keeping up with your studies. I had this created just for you. Even before⊠today⊠I had thought that you might enjoy coming to visit your old Auntie Jaina."
He scowled at her, brushing a lock of blond hair off his face. 'You're not old," he said.
"And you've been keeping up with your diplomacy, too," she said, grinning. "But yes. It's called a hearthstone." "But the rune means 'home." - The Shattering

Look at them. Already they plot against us. Sieze this moment, Varian, dismantle the Horde.*
King Wrynn will rue the day he allowed the Horde to name another Warchief. We should've kept fighting. Who's to say this new Warchief won't get any ideas in his troll head a few years from now? - mop
Oh, great lion, your heart is becoming steel. Hers had once done the same, hardened by the bomb that destroyed Theramore, and that rigidity had ruled her for a time, not only her powers but her heart and mind encased in frost. Vividly, sadly, she remembered telling Varian that the Horde must be utterly annihilated*. It had taken a long time for her to thaw, and remnants of that icy anger still lingered, making her all the more able to detect it in others.
- shadows rising
*For those who are still high on something: this means not killing every single orc or elf, but ending the horde: to secure, settle each race in their territories and ban gatherings, even the scriptwriters confirmed this specifically for you (She didn't say kill. She said dismantle. She asserted that the Horde should no longer self-govern. Jaina doesn't trust the Horde to self-govern.)

KUL TIRAN SHIPBUILDING
Algerson Lumberjacks are stacking logs from the delivery cart by the slip, where Thornspeaker Adepts are purifying them. Bound Skys are working on the ship and flying smaller logs onto it. Bound Rain are maintaining the Fog Wards. Both of the port's forges are going full tilt, being worked by a Bound Sky at the bellows and a Bound Hearth maintaining the heat, with Bound Earths inserting the ore from Bleak Hills Mine and extracting the smelted ingots, which are stacked to be delivered to another Bound Earth apparently crafting metal parts. Another Bound Earth delivers the parts to the ship.
First, we must give the ship a name. Then it falls to Brother Pike to bless this vessel. As is tradition, a tidesage's blessing fortifies the ship against storms and encourages fair weather and smooth seas. It is as much ceremonial as it is practical.
Storm above and tides below, hear us now! Breathe strength into our sails, and guard us against the crushing depths! Let this vessel be one with the vast ocean, and us with her. Sea to sea, storm to storm, tide to tide.

The first thing she noticed was the towerâor rather, where it had once been. Gone was the beautiful white stone building that had housed her extensive library and her cozy parlor. In its place was a smoking crater, horrifically reminiscent of the one that yet lingered in Hillsbrad Foothills. Except that gash in the earth had been made by a city departing for war, while this one had been made by Rhoninâs desperate attempt to avert disaster, an attempt that had been bought with his life.

Uther the Lightbringer says: Then trust in me.
Jaina is silent for a long moment, closes her eyes, and then looks at Uther.

Jaina and Thrall parallels:
And only by leading your people across the sea, to the distant lands of Kalimdor, will you have a chance to stand against them! Sail west to the lands of Kalimdor. It is there that you will find your destiny. It is there that your people's salvation will be assured.
The dead in this land might lie still for the time being, but don't be fooled. Your young prince will find only death in the cold north. It falls to you now, young sorceress. You must lead your people to the west to the ancient lands of Kalimdor. Only there can you combat the shadow and save this world from the flame.

Jaina and Shandris sweet moments:
đA purple-skinned, blue-haired night elf stepped out, blinking at the sun. Jainaâs eyes widened and she smiled, welcoming this particular allyâShandris Feathermoon, general of the night elf Sentinelsâas a friend.
âBattle sister,â Shandris said, returning the smile gently. âThe archdruid and the high priestess send me to you with joy, and it is with joy that I and my Sentinels come to aid you.â
âYou and they are most welcome,â said Jaina, realizing that if Shandris had brought some of her people, it was likely that the other generals had brought what could be spared of their finest as well. Garrosh was bringing all the races of the Horde to bear on Theramore; they would be greeted in kind. - Tides of War
đLady Jaina Proudmoore says: Shandris, thank the Light you survived. Any news? Shandris Feathermoon says: Our vessels have been lost. Casualties are... extensive. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Tides carry them home.
Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Then we have no choice but to move forward. Shandris Feathermoon says: Be careful. Something about this place fills me with dread. Elune watch over you. - Battle for Azeroth
đčShandris Feathermoon says: These abductions... the Scourge attacks... the Banshee will pay for what she's done. By Elune's fury, we will bring her to justice! - Shadowlands

About Jaina, Theramore and it's allies from RPG, narrated by Brann Bronzebeard.
The night elves
Now, the Third War wasnât long ago, and a lot of them remember
how many of Jainaâs brave soldiers fought by their sides, and realize they may well have lost the mountain without human help. Unfortunately, the humans in the Eastern Kingdoms prove to be an entirely different beast, and one that the night elves donât appreciate as much. True, Jaina Proudmoore was an archmage, and the night elves have held a grudge against arcane magic users for centuries, but Jaina never gave them any reason to pause and think about it. With the new knowledge that corrupted human magi were responsible for much of the power of the Scourge, and that many humans still worship demons and the Old Gods, the night elves are more suspicious of humans they canât keep their eyes on. Itâs safe to say that most night elves would rally to Theramoreâs defense and give their lives to save it from Onyxia, for example, but I suspect not nearly as many would answer the call if Nefarian came knocking on the doors of Stormwind.
Realizing they needed help to survive in this new world and to oppose the Horde, which chose their continent as its new home, the night elves reluctantly joined the Alliance. Commerce began between Theramore and the night elves, as the two cultures shared values and ideas.
Great trade emerges between Darnassus and Theramore,
and other races now walk the night elvesâ streets.
The high and half elves
The high elves are in dismal shape. A few high elf lodges still stand up near the Hinterlands and suchlike, but most of them fled to Stormwind or moved west with Jaina to Theramore.
Some high elves still make names for themselves. JahâYani Sunscorch is a diplomat in Theramore. She keeps her eyes clear and watches the tides of power in Theramore move among its races. Then there is Kin Lighteye, a warrior who has tried to turn his back on the magic of his race, but cannot fully deny the addiction in his blood.
Unfortunately, the half-elves were left in a sorry state after the war. Jaina, ever the open-hearted one, brought many half-elf refugee families into Theramore. Despite the progressing nature of peopleâs thoughts, it wasnât a popular decision. Not that the city hasnât benefited from the half-elvesâ presence; theyâre hard workers with a lot of skills. Some appreciate that. However, enough people keep their distance from them on the streets that many half-elves have left Theramore to wander the wilds of Kalimdor.
I think what the half-elves would really like is a piece of land to call home, a half-elven country. Jaina Proudmoore, while sympathetic, has told them that until the truce stabilizes between the Alliance and the Horde, itâs unwise for any people to try to establish a homeland. Itâs good advice, but not everyone is listening. Perhaps the majority are content to wait for their dream, but the course of history is rarely steered by the contented.
Jaina's character
The Lady of Theramore is one of the most respected leaders in the world, and with good reason. Sheâs one of the strongest diplomats, as well as a powerful mage. She seeks to maintain and strengthen the existing relationships between the Alliance races, and also end the hostilities with the Horde, so targets like the Scourge and the Burning Legion can be destroyed once and for all. Also on her agenda is finding King Varian of Stormwind, since he was on his way to visit her when he disappeared.
Although she hasnât shown it much, Jaina is deeply hurt by the death of her father, and she blames herself for being incapable of stopping it. Likewise, she feels she should have been able to stop Arthasâ descent into madness; and when the time comes, she hopes to put an end to the Lich King â and her nightmares â with her own power. She has sacrificed nearly everything for her people.
Regardless, she proves she has the strength to keep fighting, and she will likely play a major role in the war as it continues to evolve.
Politics
Each of the seven major human cities had different traditions, and Stormwind has become a melting pot of these ideas and customs, due to the sheer number of refugees from every part of the globe who have traveled there for safe haven. Theramore is even more interesting, because they have a good lot of dwarves and elves, too, so they come up with some crazy stuff â as communities that were created through the cooperation of multiple races, both ânewâ Stormwind and Theramore adapt, sometimes in unusual ways. For example, when I was in Theramore, I noticed a good number of humans and dwarves joining the night elves in a brief prayer or visit to a moonwell at moonrise.
On an interesting note, humans seem to naturally mediate between the different races, and organize activities that may suit them all. In Theramore, youâll see both high elves (albeit very few of them) and night elves â which is pretty strange, considering they havenât been on speaking terms in oh, 10,000 years or so. Humans made that possible; theyâre masters of diplomacy, which is both intriguing and annoying at the same time. There are both humans who use this to make everyone live happily ever after (such as Jaina Proudmoore), and those who use their political skills to turn people against each other (like Aiden Perenolde).
Now, Iâm not saying the humans are completely inept; Bolvar leads his troops well, and heâs a great boon to us when heâs out in the field. That being said, humans traditionally lead the Alliance, and as a result of Lady Prestorâs intervention, proper human leadership has become impossible. See, she doesnât seem to think the other races are necessary â sheâd get along well enough with the likes of Fandral Staghelm, if she were an elf, or he were a human. Iâll get to Fandral later, though. The point is, while Lady Jaina Proudmoore has been uniting the Allianceâs races (and then some) on Kalimdor, the humans are doing a damn fine job of undoing the Alliance in the Eastern Kingdoms. Hell, it gets worse â Katrana wonât even allow the king to send reinforcements to human lands that desperately need it, such as Duskwood and the Redridge Mountains. Every report of enemy
activity on those fronts is shot down for lack of âproofâ â like our dead men and women arenât good enough for her. Thereâs something deeply wrong with that lass. The end result of this situation is two-fold; one, the Alliance is stronger on Kalimdor than in the Eastern Kingdoms; and two, night elves are stepping in to lead where humans traditionally have in the past. By stronger, I donât just mean in numbers â I mean weâre actually working together on Kalimdor, and thatâs a rare sight in the east. This is leading to some level of resentment on all sides of things; even the gnomes seem a bit confused on who to listen to. Unfortunately, while the night elves are leading the Alliance and keeping it together politically (with some notable help from Jaina), they donât seem to have anyone who excels in leading on the battlefield like humans used to.
Theramore is simply amazing to me, really. I mean, itâs in the middle of a swamp, and it seems like no one even notices the smell. But more importantly, the port proves extremely successful, and somehow theyâre even finding usable fish (I wouldnât touch âem with a twelve-foot-long rusty halberd, mind you) in all that gook. Sure, theyâre on the oceanâs edge, but thereâs just something unclean about that whole general area. Well, my pet peeves aside, theyâre doing an outstanding job âwhen you think Alliance success in Kalimdor, think Theramore. Itâs quite possibly the best example.
On a final note, Theramore is damn near perfect. We should strive to follow Jainaâs example â well, without the whole living in a stinkinâ swamp part. Jaina is perhaps the strongest human leader weâve got left, but the poor lass canât handle everything by herself. With Onyxia threatening to huff, puff, and blow her city down, Jaina has a lot to deal with. Fortunately, she has assistants â a scary night elf girl with a big hammer and a human archmage.
