Four new beers are in at Jane's Beer Store! Brash Cold Ass Honky is a hoppy Saison.  Mild farmhouse funk mingles with a crisp citrus hop bitterness. 8.5% ABV Brash The Bollocks is a Double IPA. Flavors of sweet malt balance piney, resiney hops with a hint of citrus that hides its 12% ABV well. Flying Dog Horn Dog is a Barleywine. Tastes of dried fruit and caramel malt lead to a slightly bitter, hoppy finish for a complex brew. 10.2% ABV. Fantome Pissenlit is a Saison brewed with dandelion. Flavors of earthy, herbal funk, sweet citrus and a hint of smoke interplay in this complex brew. 8% ABV

Jane's Beer Store presents 3 new beers: Isseki Nicho from Braserie Dieu du Ciel is a collaboration with Shiga Kogen brewery in Japan. This imperial dark saison tastes of light spice with a hint of funk and dark fruit. 9.5% ABV. Peculiar Yule from Nogne O is a dark holiday ale inspired by the Norweigan drink Glogg. Flavors of pine, ginger, cloves and cinnamon are backed up by a mild sweet malt. 6.5% ABV. 6 Geese-A-Laying from The Bruery is a holiday Belgian-style dark ale brewed with gooseberries. This malty brew is dark and toasty with notes of plums, dark cherries and citrus. 11.5% ABV.

This ale combines the malty caramel flavors of an Amber Ale with the hoppy bite of an IPA for a balanced brew with flavors of sweet caramel, pine, and citrus. 6.4% ABV. Sierra Nevada Celebration. This long-standing seasonal ale is a fresh-hop IPA with intense citrus and pine aroma and flavors of caramel malt and fruit with a clean finish. 6.8% ABV.

Three new ladies from Goose Island at Jane's Beer Store: Julie is a Belgian-style wild ale that's been aged in Cabernet barrels with blackberries. Sour with tart berry flavors that are rounded out with lightly sweet malt, and a dry finish. 8% ABV. Gillian is a Wine Barrel-aged Farmhouse Ale with a harmonious blend of strawberries, honey and black pepper. This is a dry and funky, lightly-tart brew with sweetness coming forth from the fruit and honey. 9.5% ABV. Lolita is a wine barrel-aged raspberry wild ale. Fermented with 50 lbs of raspberries per barrel, this ale packs big sour raspberry flavor with subtle farmhouse funk and a dry finish. 8.2% ABV.

Jane's Beer Store Presents: Triple VooDoo Brewing 8 Tentacles Imperial IPA. This brew has been fermented on oak chips and loaded with Cascade and Nugget hops. The result is piney, citrusy hop flavor mingled with oak and sweet malt and a dry finish. 9% ABV. Calicraft Brewing's Fresh Hop Ale. This Pale Ale is a collaboration with Chez Panisse Restaurant for their 42nd Anniversary. New arrivals at Jane's Beer Store! First up is Ridgeway Lump of Coal Dark Holiday stout from England. Rich and chocolately, with hints of vanilla, and a potent, smokey finish. 8% ABV. Next is Nogne O Special Holiday Ale. Brewed in collaboration with Jolly Pumpkin and Stone Breweing, this deeply complex winter warmer is brewed with Michigan chestnuts, white sage from southern California, and Norwegian juniper berries. 8.5% ABV.  Smooth and rich with a tangy finish. Last but not least is Ridgeway Very Bad Elf. This balanced, earthy English pale ale is brewed with an original 1795 Thames Valley recipe, and is  brewed with an older-style special pale amber malt and sweet hops. 7.5% ABV.  Easy drinking with caramel and light fruity notes and a mild citrus hop finish. Mikkeller beers just in at Jane's Beer Store! First up is a part of the Beer Geek line, Rauch Geek Breakfast oatmeal stout. Similar to the Beer Geek Breakfast stout, it replaces all of the base malt with smoked malts, and combines classic roasted coffee flavors with tones of smokey bacon! 7.5% ABV. Next are two barrel-aged versions of From To Via Baltic porter. Big and smooth, with flavors of peat and chocolate. The cognac version has a smooth, warming finish, while the tequila version finishes bright and tangy. Both 8.0% ABV. Two versions of Santa's Little Helper Belgian strong dark ale with spices. Lots of dark fruit flavors with elements of molasses, cloves and cinnamon. The cognac barrel aged version adds a smooth, warming finish. 11% and 10.9% ABV respectively. Finally, Red/White Christmas ale is a Belgian white ale brewed with spices. Elements of toffee and malt, with light hops, and come in a party-sized one and a half liter bottle! 8.0% ABV. Jane's Beer Store presents: Midnight Sun Brewing's Treat, a 7.8% ABV Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter. This brew's, roasty, chocolatey, spicy, and full of pumpkin. Midnight Sun Brewing's Trickster, a Belgian-style ale brewed with pumpkin and spices. This ale is full of Belgian spice, with sweet vanilla and pumpkin and 7% ABV. Jester King's Das Wunderkind! is a saison that's been partially aged in oak barrels. Wild yeast and souring bacteria have been added to the beer to give it a refreshing tartness. At 5% ABV, this beer is a dry, mildly tart, easy drinker with notes of citrus and funk. Pretty Thing's Saint Botolph's Town is an English Brown Ale that was brewed to reflect the link between Boston and Northern England. This easily-drinkable brew clocks in at 5.9% ABV and is  malty and sweet with a dry herbal-hop finish. Ale Smith's Yule Smith, an imperial red ale at 8.5% ABV. This beer is a balance between hop and big malt, resulting in notes of fruit and pine with a smooth, warm finish.

New Sierra Nevada and Widmer Brothers beer at Jane's Beer Store! First up is Sierra Nevada DevESTATEtion Black IPA. Due to strong winds and drought, Sierra Nevada lost its entire estate barley harvest. Luckily their hop harvest survived, and after purchasing some organic barley, they created this fresh-hopped evil twin to their Estate Ale. Dark and roasty, with citrusy and earthy notes. 6.7% ABV. Next is Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Harvest IPA. Sierra Nevada went to great lengths to use only the freshest hops from Yakima, WA. This is a pleasantly balanced and complex IPA, loaded with flavors of fresh pine, cut grass and citrus. 6.7% ABV. Widmer Brothers Downward Spiral is an imperial version of their Hopside Down India-style pale lager, which has then been aged on new oak spirals. Aggressive hop flavor cascades into a strong oak presence that accentuates a strong, clean malt profile. 9% ABV. Finally, Widmer Brothers Reserve Old Embalmer '13 barleywine ale. True to its name, this beer responds well to extended aging. It features X-431 hops which lend to flavors of tropical and dark fruits, and tons of malts. 10.2% ABV. Cheers!

New Boulevard Smokestack series at Jane's Beer Store! Bourbon Barrel Quad is loosely based on Boulevard's The Sixth Glass quad, and is partially aged in bourbon barrels with cherries. 11.8% ABV. This abbey style ale is warming and goes down easy. Notes of toffee and vanilla supporting a lightly tart cherry presence. Come on by Jane's and pick one up! Cheers!

Jane's Beer Store Presents: Ale Smith Evil Dead Red Ale. This Halloween-themed release is a red ale with a balance of caramel malts and American hops. Blood red in color with a punch of grapefruity hops.  6.66% ABV. Ale Smith Decadence. This brew edition of Decadence is A Belgian-style Doppelbock Lager, at 10% ABV.  Rich and satisfying with notes of bread and chocolate.   Stone Suede Imperial Porter. This brew is a special collaboration between San Diego's Stone Brewing, Oregon's 10 Barrel Brewing Company and DC's Bluejacket. Brewed with Calendula flowers, jasmine, and avocado honey hailing from the three different regions.  This 9.6% ABV ale is as smooth and sweet bodied with a lingering bitter finish. Deschutes Brewing Chasin' Freshies. This 7.4% ABV Fresh Hop IPA is a yearly release that uses hops at their freshest. This year Deschutes features Amarillo hops in this light, juicy, brew.
