It’s no coincidence that I’m connected to @royalzenoshines and able to experience his family’s grit and witness their legacy. . Their story began in 1970 when the late, great Mr. Zeno, secured a contract to operate his business in the MSP airport. . At one point there was public outrage and high profile supporters rallying to keep the business alive when the MSP contract expired in 1998. . Through many challenges the family has managed to keep the business going strong and have even expanded into The Union Depot train station. . When I landed in Atlanta, the first thing on my mind was “where are the coffee shops at?” 😄 I knew if I was going to be on a mission to get things done I needed that fuel. ☕️ . I found myself scrolling thru Eventbrite to find something to do and came across a “Free Coffee Tasting at Ten”... everything an entrepreneur could ask for. Free. Coffee. Networking. And not too early in the morning. Count me in! 💪🏾 . It was a pretty dope experience. I was able to learn some very interesting facts about coffee production that I definitely would have not encountered on my own. And the hospitality of the @counterculturecoffee staff was amazing. Whew Chile, the skills this man has. So, pretty much, when I showed up to shadow Andrew @andrewthomasclifton I was in for a surprise and had the honor to meet Jeremy @paintedbyjeremy . If you thought all makeup artists were the same, you’re absolutely wrong. There’s an obvious reason artists like him work closely with some of the most elite celebrities in Atlanta like @cynthiabailey10 @tasha4realsmith and @ryandestiny . Btw, @hudabeauty should look into working with him on an own eyeshadow pallet or something. I’d buy! 🙋🏾‍♀️ . Anyway, I’m disappointed I didn’t get to include a closeup of her final look in the video, somehow I lost that footage.
