wistfully remembering how people (pretended they) cared about antisemitism when it was primarily coming from the right. like there are pre-2023 posts with tens of thousands of notes about antisemitism. now any mention of the existence of antisemitism (when its worse than it ever was) doesn’t breach containment outside of jewish circles. its almost funny how quickly people stopped caring when it was inconvenient.

Do you know how badly I would love to join protests and movements and events at my school? In my city? A fucking lot. But they have made it clear they don't want jews there. That people are literally willing to kill me. It sucks being terrified to talk about recent events with friends. It sucks bc STILL known of my friends have even given me and ounce of sympathy. It sucks. It sucks that antisemitism. And hating jews. Is above all else forever.

i’m willing to believe some people are genuinely idiots who don’t know that 90%+ of polish jews were killed in the holocaust (and made up half of all poles killed in wwii), but. it’s almost like this shit helps nothing and no one
