I’ve read getting back into the swing of things a million times now and I’ve always wondered if yoongi constantly telling oc to go hang out w the maknaes bc she would prob have more fun with them was his insecurity? like he thought they were better than him and hence she would prefer to spend time w them rather than with him? also when in the story is this resolved or is it just resolved as time goes on

let me tell you, the asks I get about this story make me literally have to reread my own chapters because you readers are all so incredibly perceptive like omg,, you guys pick up on details and foreshadowing hints and everything so well I sometimes doubt if I really wrote it that way or if you all just have amazing imaginations

but yes, one thing I really set out to do when I was writing gbist was I wanted to make the boys feel like real ppl, and ofc real ppl have real insecurities, one of Yoongi’s being that he often felt that most people who got close to them as a group were really drawn in by the nature of the younger members as they’re typically regarded as more attractive, more fun, more interesting, etc

so yeah like, Yoongi in the story is a very quiet person, like he very clearly enjoys having his own space and room to talk and just get lost in his work and art and he often worries that he’s boring you 😔 it’s resolved as time goes on, but it’s definitely a more subtle realization that you also enjoy just quietly existing in his space and you have just as much fun listening to the quiet sounds of him working as you do with the other members :)

Rereading gbist and can’t believe this question has just crossed my mind,, but did joon’s parents not kno he was in a relationship with the boys?

good question! I gotta be honest I don’t exactly remember what details I put in the story regarding this, but essentially, no, they didn’t know. I can’t remember if any of the boys parents actually knew about their relationship, but most of their parents just thought they were friends living together :)

I just want you to know that I keep rereading GBIST. It’s my absolute favorite series!!! It never fails to brighten my day!! If I had a dollar for every time I’ve read it, I’d be a rich woman!!

you haven’t written anything in three months do you feel detached from writing ?

I’ve actually been thinking about this a lot, and the sad answer is, yes 😔

when I first started to write, I had started with GBiST and I LOVED GBIST, it was my little passion project and I had it cultivated through daydreams that got me through the pandemic when I was lonely and bored and feeling detached from my friends and stressing w my work. I planned GBIST meticulously and had drafts and parts written in advance and I was so proud of how it came out and how I could bring my dreams to life and share them with you all. I’m so happy I wrote it and loved being able to get experience with writing for others.

BTS did so much for me to get through a really hard part in my life, but with them being on hiatus (even though I know they’re all still around doing their own projects it just doesn’t feel the same) and I’m grieving the way they used to be even though I know I should keep moving forward and look forward to their future.

After I finished GBIST, I tried to throw myself into my other ideas, but I didn’t plan those as well, I didn’t have much of a plan for any of them at all and I only realized how difficult that would make the whole process after I started it.

All of this is basically to say, I think I’m going to slowly step away from thsi chapter of my life as a writer, with everything that I learned. I don’t want to abandon Ride with You because I am so far in, but it’s likely that updaters are going to continue being far and few between until I finish, and it’ll likely be much shorter than I originally planned, but I do love the universes I created with you all. I’m going to leave the blog up because despite not getting to do everything I wanted, I’m still proud of it all and if I ever do get the strength to come back to it and finish everything else one day, I want to be able to do that.

So this isn’t a goodbye, but more of a see you around because I’ll still be here, just a bit more distant than I wished to be. Thank you so so soooo much to everyone who supported me so far, you’re all incredible and I do love all your asks and replies and I will always look back on this as a fond memory. But if I never post anything here again, (which is unlikely) I love you all 🫶🫶🫶

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things: I like how, despite the way Jimin initially treats YN to her face, he does display some genuine concern for her. While she’s in distress, he secretly offers her comfort in the form of the teddy bear and even insists that she keeps it 💜

EXACTLY I love when characters say one thing and then act another way,, you will always find me w unreliable narrators in my story 🫶🫶🫶 and Jimin is like, such a caring person inside so you know that being mean isn’t his want but just a defense mechanism 😔

How do you feel about the public’s reaction to Yoongi smoking in a music video? I don’t smoke personally, but that’s mainly because I have asthma. I also think that people are being ridiculous for trying to dictate what he can do with his life

yea tbh smoking isn’t that big of a deal,, like yea it’s not the best for his health but also I don’t know him personally, nor does most of army, so it sounds kinda weird for people on the Internet who’ve only seen him in videos or pictures to act like they can affect his personal decisions :/ and the smoke could be just for aesthetics or actually what he does in his free time but either way, it’s his choice

Hi! The second chapter of FL is so good 😩 I love that Jin was the one who went home with y/n - I feel like he's lowkey underappreciated in these things 🤸

I love Jin so we’re always gonna get one on one time w him 🥰 honestly equal time with each of the boys can be really hard to write sometimes but I do my best 🫡

and as for the boys side of things,, I was thinking it might be interesting to do the whole story from Y/n’s perspective so we could see in real time as she puts the puzzle together of how the boys are manipulating her, but I also really like obsessed bts so I’ve debating on whether to add some of their perspective here and there,, I might do it next chapter if I feel it’s interesting enough 🤔
