Look, Episode 5 of X-Men '97 was tragic and emotionally destroyed all of us, but can we all agree it's actually kinda funny that Gambit threw a motorbike at Rogue just to keep her safe.

Episode 3:

Nathan is supposed to be ONE day old. That baby looks four months. Minimum.

I have never understood what Mister Sinister wants with Jean and Scott's kid. Cloning her is one way to fix the Scott, Jean, Logan love triangle though.

I haven't mentioned it yet, I do love Morph's redesign and his addition to the team as a permanent member.

Evil Jean is hot. I hate the name the Goblin Queen. Please try something else.

Episode 2:

Rouge x Magneto?!?! Get out of here. That man is so much older than her.

I thought storm was dead a minute and honestly this is just as devastating.

Jean clone was the one that was pregnant is my guess for the end of that episode. But that is also one of the most hated spiderman arcs of all time. It would be a bold move.

Just finished the first episode and started the second. Will probably keep re-blogging this post with my thoughts as a live blog sort of.

The animation took me a second to understand but it does really work when they're fighting. I've never actually thought a super hero landing was cool until what Scott did to land in the desert.

I really like the way the family dynamic the team has. Sometimes they felt a little clunky talking to each other in the other show and in this one they really mesh well.

But also Logan needs to move on with his life at some point. Seriously, Jean has been married since season 2 (I think) and is now so pregnant but if she just says please in a nice way he'll do whatever she wants. There are other women in the world I swear, why is this love triangle still going? Jean doesn't even seem to reciprocate his feelings in any way, and she's not torn between them, Logan just can't take a hint.

Also that blonde woman with the UN is definitely mystique right? I don't have any evidence for this besides the fact that I don't remember ever meeting a Dr. Cooper in the original show and her vibes are just off.

Finally, I don't like Magneto's new look with the M on his chest. He looks like an old rock band member.
