You think that Three Point Shot is bad? Than you should check out A New Hope. There’s interesting concept with characters from all three main games are put into a killing game. But it’s ending with the survivors is super wishful fulfillment with a majority of the survivors being couples that survive with the significant other, instead of them loosing their significant other and survive without them. A small minority of characters lost their significant other or single.

Tenko and Yumeno’s friendship is NOT a romantic subplot

I have nothing against people shipping Tenmiko, I can see the appeal of it. However, what I hate is people forcing it as canon or trying to make Yumeno a lesbian for Tenko(lesbians tend to not have their attraction to men literally stated by the writer in artbooks, just saying) or make claims like ‘she returned her feelings for Tenko once she died’ and people fail to realize how disgusting that actually is. It has really disturbing implications that the moment you show affection or admiration towards someone, no matter the circumstances beforehand, that means you're in love with them. Forcing something as strong as love onto someone just for being an empathetic person is awful and there’s no defending it. Yumeno was actively uncomfortable around Tenko throughout most of their screentime in the game and she comes to regret not appreciating Tenko’s more well-meaning traits once Tenko's gone, and was also grateful that she helped her, which is a very slim way of forming a friendship. Yet this friendship being formed is treated like the two getting together or Yumeno regrets not loving Tenko back. You’d either have to be really sick or skipped through the dialogue in the game like a speed-player to interpret this. In real life, people end up really uncomfortable and grow spiteful if people thought the guy they hung out with was their boyfriend(It’s also a common form of bullying and gossip, and situations like this have actually driven some people to suicide) and doing it in fiction, while obviously not as bad, seems to imply what type of person you are in real life and implies you'd be the type of person to assume two people are a couple the moment they start getting along. Like, when I act antagonistic towards people shoving Tenmiko as canon, it's not because I hate the ship, it's because it's actually gross to claim it's canon or even implied in canon. It's gotten to the point where some people have unironically said it was a flaw in the writing that Yumeno didn't constantly cry and openly get depressed over and over again for the rest of the game over her. Like, if either Tenko or Yumeno were gender swapped, I'm sure a lot of people would realize their actual in-game relationship and also realize the terrible implications of claiming it as canon. Again, nothing against people shipping Tenmiko, I'm happy they enjoy something I don't, but just acknowledge it's just a ship among the fandom with no romantic backing in canon past a one-sided crush and not some romantic subplot. Those guys who make claims that ships need canon backing are lying and are just salty about ships they don’t like being popular. I ship Kaitouma and I know that’ll never be canon or implied at all, but I don’t care for twisting canon into supporting the ship because it’s just a ship. A ship is essentially two people you’d really like as a couple and that’s how it’s always been. People are just trying to twist the definition because they’d rather start discourse over shippings than let people have their opinions. Tenmiko is a story of Tenko learning to tone down her obsessive nature to make the person she loves happy and help her like a true friend, alongside receiving that friendship after tragedy. There’s nothing romantically implied whatsoever, even if you squint at it, and that’s how it should be seen as the shipping itself should be entirely separate.

I have to agree with this. I was being too over-dramatic trying to hammer in the point I was trying to make. Self-inserting on it’s own is a fine thing. However, being accused of self-inserting for nothing more than wanting to fuck Kokichi all because I’m not simple-minded pissed me off. I’m sorry for my behaviour.

Yeah, some of my closest friends online are gay and some of my best friends irl are bi, but sure, call me homophobic. Second, it doesn't say that Kokichi is bi. I'm saying that Kokichi isn't confirmed gay and the fandom shouldn't be harassing people for shipping him with girls since he could still be bi. Third, he shows attraction to one fucking person. That's not proof. Fourth, fuck off asshole, I do not self-insert and I'm actually pissed you'd accuse me of that. Self-inserting is disgusting and makes me sick, and anyone who does it is pathetic and needs to get laid. I ship whatever I like the dynamic of. Fifth, and most importantly, my favorite Kokichi ship is gay and my entire tumblr account is dedicated to it. Do you even have common sense? Lastly, I know people will tell me I'm being rude, but some asshole(and said it, not reblogging it so I'd have to go through a complicated process to respond) calls me a homophobic self-insert because I'm not biphobic and defending people's rights. Fuck them, they deserve it. And before someone accuses me of sub-blogging, @goldstarzzz Come at me, cunt.
